I agree. Girls I went with as a newbie in Thailand, I might describe as "dogs" now. I have become more fussy I think.
When I look back at old pics, girls I thought were really pretty might look average now.

In a city of 10 million+ people it is easy to slip away and have a little fun. This past Saturday I booked a room at Livingstone's Lodge and at about 4pm caught a cross town BTS Skytrain to this convenient hideaway. Oh lordy.. I could never say 'only' about $70-100! Thats basically the same price as back home, without having to spend for the flight or take up employment in this low-wage country.

It still seems a bit strange to me that prices are really that high. Seems so out of connection to the wages for normal jobs. For example back home a 'call girl' in the midwest (the area I know), is about $200 on average - say $150-250. A weeks wages at a normal job there are about $500-600. So the price for an hour or so of sex is about 1/2 to 1/3 of a working class weekly wage. Here in Thailand you say it is 2,500 baht short time, and a month's wage for a normal working class person in Bangkok is maybe 10,000, so 2,500/week. Thus there is a one to one relationship - one bang is equal to a week's wages, or two to three times as much as back home. Why is Thailand so much more expensive than america?

I knew I would be coming to Bangkok so having found the wite thai love links thought it may be worth seeing if I could pre-arrange some dates.So having been in bangkok now for a few days here are my findings. I have now seen 6 girls I arrnaged to meet on arrival.

I was in this end of town due business so in between meetings decided to check out the local sights.
Went to a park which you can find by copying the above lat & long into google maps.

Found some SW’s working a medium strip west of this park. Some were very ordinary one was ok.
Approached the OK one and negotiated a price, 800B ST. She preformed well, given the price, which just goes to show you don’t always get what you pay for when it cums to P4P.
In the past I have seen SW’s closer to the train station, around the circle intersections and along Rama 4 but not this far out.

Many people are quite stupid when it comes to money, and so they see fit to "overpay" by local standards. Thats fine by me, and the girls are happy too, so do not moan about it.

I will generally pay between 1000B to 2000B for ST and LT, and thats it.

If the girl is not interested she can go away.

This is about supply and demand, if she has no demand, her price will fall, if she is in demand it will rise.

Bills have to be paid, and no matter what its better for them to take 2 at 2000B instead of trying to wait for 1 at 4000B when those bills need to be paid.

Some of us have the luxury of being long term here, and able to be patient and get what we want, for the price we want, some are rushed and have to pay what it takes to get what they need.

I would rather have 3 overnights with reasonable girls from the BG for example for 4500 (3 x 1500) than 1 from Q Bar for 4000.

Again I have the luxury of time. I was in the BG on Sunday afternoon for a little look, and must say the choice was appalling.

This is the downside of freelancer bars, sometimes its just crap, and sometimes it reveals a gem or three.

However, its easy to understand why some people go there and say its awful, if Sunday afternoon was my first ever time I would also report its terrible, luckily I have the chance to go in whenever I want, and other times its quite alright with the occasional really nice one or three.

As with most bars, be it gogo, beer or freelancer, the nicest girls only come out after 6pm.

Agree!

It's the guys who say "only" who ruin the market and spoil the thai girls. These guys are probably really hard and will pay whatever b/c there time is limited in LOS. They are thinking with the wrong head.

Nothing we say will ever change this, though. Guys have been throwing way too much cash at girls since the beginning of time.

LT at $120 includes anywhere between 6 and 12 hours of fun in the US an overnight would ber from $2000 to $3500

So how is it expensive again?

The price in China Town should be 300 baht, or at most 500 if she is a very young and cute one. 800 baht for a short time there is a blatant ripoff - I always paid 300-500 baht, and was sometimes even offered 200 baht by old or fat ones.

Just to clarify, this only applies to the six or eight girls who perform in the shows (the lesbian acts) on weekend nights (Thursday- Saturday I think). My regular Baccara take-out is one of these girls, and she warned me of the policy well in advance the first time it happened.

There was a documentary on UK tv 18 months or so ago. It featured a couple of TGs looking for a farang husband / sugar daddy, one at home in the village and the other in BKK visiting a friend who worked in a NEP bar.

I have on more than 1 occasion, written an e-mail on behalf of a non-English speaking village girl trying to snare a farang, and I know that I am not alone in this. One girl was successful, and now travels overseas regularly, each time bringing me back a present.
