Sadly this type of question pose will only get one that type of answer! It is no different from someone asking where can you get the best-looking girls or prices.
These types of questions just keep the conversation going like everything else looks at prices the list goes on.
It isn't a matter of liking the place or not if you never take the leap and find out for yourself that person will never find out the answer their answer, not someone else.
I settle in Pattaya because I like the openness, Bangkok was just too big and congested for my taste I like the freedom and the beaches although I rarely go into the water. Like any place you get tired and need a break from time to time whenever that time comes, I take the bus into Bangkok 119 Baht and make an excuse that I need to visit the Embassy and stay overnight for a short change of pace.
Depending on one time I think for the price and time it takes to get to Pattaya and back feel you don't have the time one day at best. Take the bus early and walk around if you feel interested it is cheap and easy right now to get a room and stay the night the ride at best 2 1/2 hours. At times I enjoy the ride more than the stay in Bangkok.
Stop asking and find out for yourself!
.
This response is perfect. My feeling is exactly the opposite. Pattaya becomes too small a place for me so I enjoy the size and diversity of living in Bangkok. I also like a change of pace and Pattaya offers the perfect change of pace for me but after 3-4 days I'm always ready to get back to Bangkok.
Now that travel is open again I also enjoy short trips to the Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam. Longer trips I prefer Brazil.

I do understand that it is nowhere near pre-Covid. Just a follow up question. Is it so bad that I should stay in BKK rather than Pattaya, and I am asking purely from a mongering perspective?
The last time I went to BKK was in December 2021. Everything was closed, it was so depressing that I almost had a nervous breakdown. The only good thing was visiting the Grand Palace, there was absolutely no one there, I was able to have it all to myself. Great time.
Since I spend all my travels in Phuket or Pattaya (I'm there right now), now almost everything is open, the gogos are full of girls and I have fun like before the covid, even it's the low season.
If you go to BKK please post news so that I know if I can go back or not.

- Bangkok was somewhat alive, many places still closed but you can find what you're looking for. Patpong area completely dead except maybe 2-3 agogos (King's Castle the largest). Nana Plaza ground floor open and alive, upper floors partially closed. Soi Cowboy kinda depressing, many places closed, some opened with no dancing. Most places closed early or at least pretented to.
- Pattaya seemed more alive but the action moved towards LK Metro and the neighboring street, Walking Street and especially the western (Arab / Russian / whatever) section was a dead town, not a single place open, everything shut down and for sale or for rent (including 7/11's and restaurants. It was / it that bad).
- Patpong / Phuket was surprisingly very crowded, very lively and everything was opened. However out of these three places, I liked it the least, I felt like I arrived in a stupid tourist trap and everyone is trying to scam me and rip me off, from the taxi drivers, to ping pong show promoters to the girls in agogos themselves.
Now the situation should only get better. ThaiPass and arrival conditions cancelled, opening times restrictions removed, more tourists arriving (a lot of Indians for some reason). I expect things should get very wild soon, maybe not now in rainy season but latest in November or December.

1st Timer
I'm going to read the forum. At least the last year plus. I'm planning my trip for late July / early August, if there are any reports of distinction or Members known for being a wealth of information feel free to point them out.

I have returned from a trip to Dubai with my bargirlfriend after 10 days.
She is your classic Thai lady, fucks like a mink, horny all the time, very loving. Then when she isn't working with me, she us very busy doing something. I can't imagine what.
In Pattaya, she is up for one night a week. That works for me, I can see other ladies. I don't care what she does on her own time.
I'm having a civvie come this afternoon to my condo. She has flaked before, but I don't mind, I have other stuff to do.
Tonight, a bargirl veteran is coming, but I don't think I will fuck her. To be honest, my bargirlfriend really tested my limits, and I could use a day off. Plus, I have a doubleheader tomorrow. And the next day, I have a freak lady coming for an overnighter.
I don't understand those who say that Pattaya sucks, it kind of seems like paradise to me.

If this is your first trip to Thailand, note that the three biggest punting destinations are Bangkok, Pattaya, and Patong (Phuket). All three have a different feel and appeal to different people. If you don’t like one, you might like the other two.
Nixonbd is right. Good sources of information are:
You guys are making the easiest place on earth complicated. Only 2 pieces of information are needed here:
1. Walk down the street, or into a massage shop, or into a bar, or into a disco. See a chick. Go fuck.
2. Get on Thai Friendly. See a chick. Go fuck.
If you need any other information then you are just trying to waste time and not trying to fuck.
By the way, was in Kinneree on Saturday. Price is now 1200 for a chick and 350 for the room. My buddy said if you spend 1000 then the buffet is free. Don't know what else you would be spending 1000 on except a chick. But that day they had ribs and salad and looked like burgers. My friend ate but I did not. I think he paid like 350 for the buffet. There were plenty of chicks there.
