For various reasons the price goes up not entirely the fault of mongers. It all depends on the supply situation, financial status, job availability etc. Although the girls are making 10 times the money compared to cost of living these days nobody wants to open their legs for less. Getting girls for your expected rate depends on the game you have.

If I am staying in Puerto Plata I usually hit Chalos first and if I come up empty handed I'll head to the casino at around 1 or 2 am and stay till the lights come on.
