There's nothing more "normal" or "mainstream" about the girls upstairs. The girls on both floors are there for one purpose: pay for play. I suspect there are several factors that influence which floor the girls work:

Some on the first floor literally have enough money in their pockets for jeepney or bus fare home. If they spend the money to go upstairs (100 php or 150 php, whatever it is now) and they don't score a customer, they can't get home.

The second floor is often a "staging area" for matching p4p girls with groups of Korean or Japanese mongers. Whereas Western men tend to work in a lone wolf mode or, occasionally, with one wingman, Koreans and Japanese often appear in groups of six to eight. The upstairs, especially to the side of the stairs away from the band, is set up with lots of tables, some of them with enough seating for large groups. An Asian group shows up, orders drinks, and starts looking around. Sometimes a p4p girl approaches them, but often the first approach is from a mamasan. She will chat them up briefly and then signals for one or several of the p4p girls to join the table. Sometimes the men at the table send them away, and this sends the message to "send us somebody else." So part of the laid-back approach of the upstairs girls is because they're waiting for the next group of Asians to show up, and the sell to them can sometimes be a drawn out affair. They wait for them because, as rumor has it, the Asians pay more, don't last as long, and don't stretch their delicate parts as much.

In contrast, the downstairs strategy, since men arrive as singles or in twos, is to make a connection as quickly as possible before some other girl does.

Some believe that the percentage of lookers is higher upstairs, and given the Asian behavior of dismissing from the table those that they find unattractive -- yet paying more when they do choose -- it may be that good looking women simply make out better upstairs. It seems to me that downstairs is actually darker, so that facial and body imperfections sometimes go unnoticed until you get the girl out in the light of day. There are some good looking women downstairs, but it's often a struggle to get the less attractive ones out of the way. And maybe the not-so-attractive ones have learned that they need to be more aggressive in order to score.

Also, particularly with the upstairs area away from the band, it's simply less crowded, and that lends itself to letting mongers and girls look each over from afar before one or the other gestures to a desired partner. Downstairs, a dark, crowded place, just doesn't permit eyeballing and gesturing to individual girls at the perimeter. So the girls here have just learned that they need to move in closely. Hanging back and waiting to be summoned just doesn't work.

Number two, I am sure you can bribe your way in for what a westerner would consider not very much ($10)?

Three, when you show up pretend like you are a VIP and just go to the front of the line and expect to be let in...if this fails try the bribe and then some suttle negotiations.

Four, use the concierge at your hotel. These guys weild a huge amount of influence and know everyone. If you are staying at a low end hotel go to the big hotels (Shangri La, Penn or Mandarin) and talk to the concierge and for a nice tip I am sure he can get you on the VIP list.

Most importantly this club is only open 2-3 days per week (I think Wednesday, Fri and Sat). So make sure you find out which days. It does not get going until very late...If I remember right not until midnight?

Finally, it is a good club but no better than an average club in any major western city. My opinion is there is no reason to go this club where there are very few women looking for foreigners when there are literally hundreds of girls fighting over you everwhere else. If you are set on dancing and making a date of it. Go to the greenbelt with a P4P girl and pick one of the dance clubs on the 2-3 floors.

Thanks[/QUOTE]I cant give you any help in terms of VIP, but what has worked for me is get there about 9:30 and buy your tickets/entry fee and then go out the back to the restaurant across the laneway and have dinner then comeback about 11:00 to midnight, you go through becuse you have your stamp.

I have an idea of the how all the barfines work.

But went to entertainment center on edsa close to heritage hotel.

Each girl gave me different answers about bar fine.

In angeles I always pay the bar and that includes the girls fee and only tip if I want or she was good. No expectation of any more money.

The girls told me several different things.

One said you pay bar fine and then pay the girl 3000 for overnight.

One said it was pay bar fine and pay the girl 2000.

Well I found one and paid the bar fine.

The EDSA barfines, which, until recently were Php1,000 and have now gone up to Php1,200-Php1,400 I think do not include the services of the girls. The amount expected is individual and has to be negotiated directly with the lady of choice. Php2,000 for overnight is, in my opinion about right.

I did, cause my little brain was doing the thinking and ended up with a hurried, dead fuck service.

I know the bar. The same owner has the bar directly upstairs. I think it's called the VIP, and the girls rotate from one to the other. In my experience, you should never pay anything but the barfine upfront. Everything else is dependent on length of time stayed and performance. I never discuss the amount beforehand and if the girl brings it up I find another.

Was in Manila/Makati last week.

Monday: Our first visit was to AirforceOne. There are two wings. Karaoke and massage. Went to massage wing. There are two classes. Economy and business.
