Medellin Reports

So while all of you are worried about corona virus I wanted to remind you that there are other viruses going around that you are much more likely to catch. I thought I caught a bad case of food poisoning last night but after I talked to the receptionist at the hotel she told me she had the stomach flu 3 days ago and when she went to the hospital it was packed full of people suffering from the same thing. Sounds like there could be a minor epidemic of Norovirus going around. (It doesn't matter if it's Norovirus, I still can't look at Chicharron without felling ill).

If you're going to be in Colombia I recommend stocking up on oil of oregano (with a high carvacrol content) and activated carbon tablets. They're kinda hard to find here but they work well for both stomach flu and food poisoning, and the anti-viral properties of carvacrol are good at fighting all sorts of diseases including the common cold.

It's amazing it went as far as it did but now you know. Any red flags or bullshit is an automatic goodbye. And yea, if you got that 300 k for the cousin, I assure you it wouldn't have been the last money they would get out of you and you would still have ended up receiving nothing for it. I laid on the bed after they had gone. For a long while I didn't have the strength to get up. I wondered why I didn't ask for the money I gave her. I thought about how I had just spent a couple day's budget on this fiasco. But mostly I just was just paralyzed by the beer and the weed.

After maybe an hour I got up and started packing the things that remained behind. The avocado, the remaining beer. The condoms seemed to mock me as I stuffed them in my backpack. And then I found the worn out bottle opener that my girlfriend forgot sitting on the table. "AGUILA" was outlined in a white stamp on the blue aluminum key.

These bottle openers are often called "church keys" and the caps on the bottles are referred to as "crown corks". In a way this church key appropriately seems to be the most valuable thing I got from this encounter. It in it's self is not valuable at all. Only the memory is valuable.

I will proudly add this church key to my inventory on future trips. Maybe it will be the subject of a fabled story over a beer. "Always pay first!" will be the lesson of my sermon. But more likely its simple presence will be a constant reminder of this experience for me.

A guy is not looking for "just sex" but epic sex. Sex that he cannot get at home. Sex that he could not ask of anyone but a "professional". Sex that is not attached to commitment. Sex with women that are otherwise out of his league. Sex on a short time schedule that would not be available without money. Sex from a variety of women; shapes, sizes, colors and personalities. There are many reasons to trade money for sex and this list may just scratch the surface.

She gave me an experience that I have never had before. Nobody has ever treated me as their slave. Nobody has ever sat on my face, choked me or slapped me. This was a truly unique experience for me. And I will always remember it because of my blue "AGUILA" church key.

I put the key in my backpack and headed for the door. I stopped at the front desk and indicated that I would be checking out. And soon I was out on the street making my way back to the Nutibara hotel.

Sometimes if you have the freedom; overlooking the scam is the right call. They may not be telling you the real reason they need the money; but they do need the money. I assure you that these girls do not always prefer to rip you off. They might just not feel they have the freedom to tell the truth. Over the years I have built a good relationship with my adopted daughters and I have received a huge amount of satisfaction from seeing my grandchildren get a happy home to grow up in.

Do I still get a questionable ask for money? Yes. But I have the freedom to look beyond the lie and ask "what's going on? How can I help?" I understand that not everyone has the freedom and privilege that I have.

But in this case this girl seems to be a professional rip-off artist. She enjoys it. Since this meeting she has reached out to me to try to convince me that she is a good person. She offered to make up the hours I paid for. She offered video sex. I am just not going there!

And seriously though, Wall Street. Or actually the Market as an aggregate isn't listening to the Mike Pence or any politician when they make their calls on this, its the ear to the ground and the finger in the wind. Of course the smarter people are sitting back waiting for the bottom of the dip because of all the fear built into the margin of the price drops, then they are going to buy buy buy, and reap the rewards when it bounces back up. Baron Rothschild, an 18th century British nobleman and member of the Rothschild banking family said "the time to buy is when there's blood in the streets. " While there is not literally blood on the streets, the principal is the same. Meanwhile I am having to postpone my next trip to Medellin because my source of travel money, my nest egg is taking a beating.

I check out some shoes which I assume must be fakes because they were selling $60 Vans sneakers for $14 and I didn't even haggle yet, so maybe you can get them for $10-12, but they were pretty solid, I couldn't tell if they were fake, stolen or real honestly. Didn't have my size in the color I wanted and heading to El Centro tomorrow so figured I'll just wait.

Take my time, cruise the entire Plaza for a couple of hours, grab a ton of stuff, mangoes, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, passion fruits, a medium size package of strawberries. Must have been 8-9 lbs of fruits and veg - $3!

Come back to the airbnb and kick it for a couple of hours, nail down details with Karina, and order from wings from Sport Wings. I'm adding a lot of food details here because its not mentioned much and I really wish I had a better idea of what's worthwhile. I hope others are finding this useful. In any case, lots of restaurants are always running specials on Rappi so that's cool. 18 wings, 3 different kinds / sauces, delivered for $9, and they're pretty damn good. You can't be for real. If I have extra cash laying around, I will give them to Elon Musk; I want to help the human race to become a multi-planetary specie. I know that different people enjoy different things, but it is hard for me to reason why it is satisfying to pay a girl so she can fuck other guys worry free.

Every time a girl ask me for money with a sad story, I always makeup a more depressing story and ask them to me money instead; if their parents are in the hospital, then my entire family, including my dog are in the hospital; if they need money for rent, then I have been living under the bridge for days, if they need money for food, then I need money for a heart transplant. The only time I actually considered to send money is when they ask money for drugs, I hate to see people in a party who want to get high, but couldn't. I hope some of the girls I asked money for didn't pass my made up stories to you and ask for money. For the record, I have not gotten paid by any girls yet.

I ll be traveling to Medellin during Holy Week. How dead will Medellin be during April 9th through the 11th, that Thursday through Saturday? Will girls be around Parque Lleras, Will casas and strip clubs be open? Bars and clubs open? If so will they be dead? Anyone who could offer some intel / advice on best way to mongering and party during that weekend would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone has any suggestions on the quickest way to learn Spanish? I just want to learn enough to be able to talk to girls without constantly using google translate. I live in the US, but I come to Medellin often, is it possible to find a hot college girl who teaches Spanish and working at the same time?
