I have enjoyed posts and pictures from both of you for a long, long time! I don't enjoy any of these.
But it does remind me of what happened to me in December when I was returning to the u.s. from Sosua. A guy in the airport (POP), struck up a conversation with me. He said he had just spent the best ten days of his life in the DR. He was recently divorced, and a friend recommended a trip for him: Ten nights, two 19 y.o. escorts for the entire time, meals and domestic drinks for only $8,500.00. He borrowed from his 401k to treat himself. I thought to myself, have i spent that much on all my trips since 1994 to over 16 countries total???? This, is what I call an Idiot,

I am sorry SavePros321 as you just do not have a clue as to what MiamiHeatLuver has been trying to express to you. You have such tunnel vision, you better hope nothing hits you from the sides. MiamiHeatLuver is not at all trying to tell you how to spend your money. What he has been trying to express to you is there is no reason for you to be overpaying for services, and asking you to stay in the price structure. If people start paying outside of the price structure, the girls come to expect whatever you or others have contributed to raising the scale to, which hurts all of us in the long run, as we all will end up paying more because of it.
To give you a couple of examples, so maybe your tunnel vision will disappear. Just a year and half ago, to 2 years ago in Cartagena, Colombia, you could have a girl as an overnight guest for around 75,000 pesos. Now, because of an influx of Americans, Italians, and the Del Rey and Blue Marlin monger invasion into Cartagena, the girls are asking up to 300,000 to 400,000 thousand pesos. Why? Because these people chose to have the mentality you have, which is, "it is my money, and I will spend it how I wish", not taking into consideration, if everybody had this attitude we all would be broke, as the more people pay the girls, the more they come to expect. In the Philippines, the Koreans and Japs are giving the girls double what a Westerner would pay them, so what happens, the girls want nothing to do with a Westerner if the Asians I mentioned above are in the house. Why? Because they know they can get more money from them, because it has now become the norm for the Koreans and Japs to pay above and beyond what the Westerners will pay.
It is quite simple, if the girls know a certain percentage of the guys are going to pay them an above scale rate, they are going to start to demand that amount of money. This is all MiamiHeatLuver is trying to point out to you. I have known MiamiHeatLuver for a long time, and I can tell you he is far from being cheap. He is very generous infact, but shows his generousity in other ways, such as taking a girl he has really clicked with out to a nice restaurant, or buying her a nice outfit, or taking her to a salon to get her hair or nails done. What he does not do, is pay outside of the price structure that is set in place for the area of the country he might be visiting.
I hope you set your bullheadedness aside, and look at the big picture of what he was trying to point out in his post to you. He was not trying to get into a pissing match with you, as that is not his style. He was only trying to have you look outside of the tunnel you were looking through, hoping it would help you in your future negotiating.
