Investigating coronovirus origins is like investigating the chicken and the egg. Stewart made a point to note that because there is a coronovirus lab in Wuhan, the virus most likely escaped from there.
However, unlike Jon Stewart, scientists know why there's been a lab in Wuhan in the first place. Because certain regions of China have conditions (the proximity of wildlife to farming lands) that are perfect for brewing novel coronoviruses. There are several coronovirus labs in China, and Wuhan Institute of Virology is merely one of them.

Is it possible that the virus escaped from the lab? Yes, and this is what's being investigated right now. But that's not why trumpists are salivating. What they really want is to build the foundation for their yet another insane crackpot theory -- that the virus had been engineered and sent into the world to topple the Orange Menace. Many of the alleged organisers of the tiny minority of Trump supporters who trespassed in the Capitol on January 6, including leaders of the "Proud Boys" and "Oath Keepers", are unindicted co-conspirators despite the feds having proof that they were in the Capitol. This is because the FBI cannot indict their own agents and informants.
Not only did the FBI know well in advance of the plan to enter the Capitol, it turns out that many of the leaders planning and encouraging it were feds. The whole thing was a setup. Federal agents organized and encouraged it well in advance. They knew what was going to happen (because they had planned it) but they ensured that the Capitol police were hugely understaffed at the Capitol, and the police opened the doors and ushered the protesters inside, as has been seen in multiple videos.
Then the fake news media seized upon it with their false and hysterical nonsense about "the worst attack since Pearl Harbor" despite no casualties other than unarmed veteran protester Ashli Babbitt, while ignoring the burning and looting of cities, and actual violent assaults on federal courthouses and the White House by the BLM / antifa footsoldiers.

Two more grotesque examples of fake news bias
First, a black man went on a 20 hour shooting spree motivated by race, in which he deliberately sought out and shot white men. Have you seen this on CNN? New York Times? Of course not. Second, Hunter Biden was shown to have used the and-word repeatedly in his text messages. Again, have you seen this on CNN? (Not that anyone watches CNN, but you know what I mean). Of course not. Can you imagine if Don Trump Jr's texts were released and he was found to have used the and-word several times? Do you think it would be covered up? Why not? They are in the same position: sons of presidents.
