Yes, some old school hippie reggae and some new stuff too. Mostly young crowd, some real hot friendly girls in groups. Have Fun.

Is this true? How is the scene/Action?[/QUOTE]Personally this is my favorite time to visit Medellin. I love the Xmas Lights and there is such a festive atmosphere in the area much similar to Feria De Flores in August.
Regarding Xmas itself, in Colombia like all of Latin America, the 9 days leading up to Xmas are the actual Xmas holiday with the traditional midnight mass on Xmas Eve. For the most part things are back to business as usual on the 25th.
Now New Year's Eve is traditionaly spent with family & friends and if you are new to Medellin and without contacts you could easily find yourself bored and alone. If on the other hands you have local friends to hang out with you could be in for one of the best all night parties of your life.
Just like in so many other places regarding having a great time during the holidays and hooking up with hot chicas it all comes down to not where you go but who you know!
I have been to Medellin twice before and both times I stayed at the Mansion. Although I really enjoyed Medellin, I always thought that Medellin is missing a good night time place where you can go and pick up some good looking women after 10 pm.
I know of the usual Face dos and Sandiego Bar which are good for in house action. I was wandering if there is any place like Help Disco or a hang out place like that in Medellin, where prepagos hang out after 10 pm. I also know that we can visit Mayorista, but the impression I have of Mayorista from previous posts here is that Mayorista does not have very good looking girls. I have not visited Mayorista myself so please let me know if I am wrong.
Last time I was in Medellin at night times I had only one reliable place after 10 pm and that was Lindas Chicas which was bit expensive, but reliable for TLN.

There is a place called La Manzana, but it doesn't pick up until like 1 or 2 when the stripclubs close. If you don't have contacts, you're pretty much stuck. I keep saying it. The 24th and 25th is dead everywhere. Many clubs are closed. I was tonight at carrera 70 by the metro station. It was dead and the waitresses told me it would be worse on the 31st of December and 1st of January.
Most casas are closed too. And girls are not working.
Everybody stays home with their family.
Not cool.

Lima has Tequila Rock, and Brazil has Help. The strip clubs would be better in MDE if not for the bar fine.
Mayorista does sometime have a few gems, but dealing with a SW is not the same vibe as being in a place with music.
Maybe my upcoming trip I will check out La Manzana.
