Great information on all the threads for a first time visitor so thanks in advance for your help and advice. I am arriving on Monday night the 30th at 11:50 pm. First question best place to exchange money at that time or should I just hit an ATM at the airport. Second Question what are my best options on transportation from the airport to my hotel Expedia is asking almost 120 us round trip seems outrageous Ill be staying at the Pullman Bangkok Grand by Soi Cowboy. Not big on public transportation so looking at a taxi how much in baht am I looking at. Third question may be dead on my feet after 24 hours traveling but what recommendations can you make on what bar to hit at Soi Cowboy by 1:30 am on a Tuesday or are they still open or should I go for a freelancer on the street for either st or LT. Tuesday after recovering ill be looking at hitting it around 12:00. What bars do you recommend for a newbie at Nana plaza or Soi Cowboy looks like Baccara would be a must see or Tilac. Looking at getting someone at early afternoon or even going to a BJ or HJ bar depending on talent then food drinks and then hoping to get someone LT for Tuesday Wednesday before my return flight. I don't have a lot of time to shop around not looking to buy 100 lady drinks nor wanting to get overcharged or harassed by a mamasan so bars that are newbie friendly be great.

ATMs are generally the easiest.

Q2. One Hundred and Twenty DOLLARS?? From Suvarnabumi to Cowboy? Only if well stocked with booze and babes! If you use a meter taxi, you might be looking at 200 THB + 50 THB airport fee (manadatory) + 75 THB tolls. If you strike a flat fee price with the drive it should be 400 THB, all inclusive. Less than 12 bucks.

Q3: If you are ready for Bangkok, Bangkok is ready for you at 3 am.

Methinks you have not, in fact, read much. Spring for the cost of a subscription.

Then the next day exchange your money at one of the many exchange booths you will find everywhere. "Superrich" ([URL]http://superrichthai.com/[/URL]) usually has good rates and their booths are conveniently located.

Get a ticket and it will tell you which taxi to take. Including the aurport surcharge and toll on the highway, it will cost you about 300 baht. But there is no worry when you make sure the taxi is using the meter. Remember, when in Bangkok [B]ALWAYS[/B] insist on using the meter and never take a tuk-tuk. Even the tuk-tuks that drive you round for free wil cost you more than a taxi in the end.

Then next day go to one of the many massage shops at or near Sukhumvit for a good massage to get the kinks out of your muscles and maybe take the "special" option to get the edge off your horniness. Then you are ready to hit Soi Cowboy with a clear head. I'm not a night-hawk so I go to Soi Cowboy around 9 PM, walk in and out some of the clubs to scout out the talent, but then I usually end up in Suzi Wong anyhow to barfine one of the girls there. However you may be right for a local, who has all his time of life to get the perfect excitement at the right moment.

He is a visitor, especially with blue ball's I guess. So it would be an important task to get at least his ball's drained at his very first night in Bangkok.

1. 30 am is indeed really late for Soi Cowboy. Soi Cowboy closes at 2 to 3 am, depends on the bar. And even if the bar still has open, pick's will be slim as most better ladies are taken long ago or has gone to 4 to 5ST already at this particular day. A lot of bar's closes the light's outside at 2 am, can be irritating for first timer's.

I would recommend to hit a very quick shower and change clothes and hit Climax in Soi 11. Open until 5 am or later and pick's should be still OK at 2 am. Entry plus a few beer's can't be wrong, and 1500 to 2000 to get laid. He should be back in hotel within 1 to 2 hour's with his company.

Or as secondary, with less alcohol and party. Hit a massage booth in the alley between Soi 11 and Soi 13.400 for massage and maybe 1000 to 1500 for special. At least he get's released 555. But I would go in any way with option 1 if it's his very first day / night!!

When wanting a taxi in Bangkok, ignore taxi drivers that are not in their taxi. They are trouble (for trying to rip you off). Preferably hail a taxi that is moving slowly past you with red indicator they are free. Ignore people that charge at you offering help. 90% have bad intentions. As Wolven says, you are not in position to bargain a taxi price unless you know how much it should cost. Therefore you must use the meter. Make sure a driver has agreed to this and switched on the meter before you leave the airport. If not, you need to get out of taxi. Not sure if these problems still exist at airports or not. I never accept help from anyone on the street, offering it. Too many have ulterior motives. If I don't know them, I won't even talk to them.

I don't really agree with resting on arrival day and start mongering the next day. That is a bit unrealistic for those that have had little sex for the last few weeks. I only rest if I arrive at a bad time, like 6 AM. I would then head to a massage joint mid afternoon. Even if I have arrived at my hotel at midnight, I still manage to find something, since sex has a higher priority than sleep when deprived. Try to sleep on the plane. Take something to assist relax and sleep if necessary, like a drowsy antihistamine, e. G. Sominar (Doxycycline Succinate).

I agree that Soi Cowboy should not be much later than 9 PM, ideally, unless could not get there any earlier, e. G. Just got off the plane.

I don't go to Suzi Wong much anymore. I was too well known by too many staff, and all of them were not shy about requesting drinks. Also the number of slim girls deteriorated. But any pharmacy in or near Sukhumvit Road will sell you the Thai generic version (called "Sidegra") at bargain basement prices (at least compared to the price of V in your home country, unless your health insurance provides it for free).
