The Cmdr makes his opinion known
The best thing about Sosua is not the chicas. It is the fact that it is a small walkable beach town that caters to international visitors. There is an excellent selection of restaurants and a wide range of cuisines available. There is a wide range of accommodations available at many different price points. There be a lotta hos there too.
I like Sosua I always have. Since 2016 when I took my first trip there. But it does not have the best beaches, restaurants or hos in the Dominican Republic. Nor in the world. That has always been and remains my opinion of the place. If that makes me a detractor so be it.
I have been all over the Dominican Republic and although some call it home (and in fact I almost had a second residence there) I wouldn't choose to live there full time. Nor is it on the top of my list of places to visit. Does not mean I won't visit. Doesn't mean I don't like Sosua. I just keep it real and call it the way I see it.
As men can we tolerate differences of opinions? We will see now won't we. LOL!
Question Do You Own a Business Frequent By Black Americans In Sosua?
This question not only goes out to you but to of the others who aggressively defend that thrash town! As if you're trying your best to not scare people away from there. Your reference to your many years of living in Sosua has a powerful voice and to be honest I even took some of your advice initially when dealing with some of the gals. You said in almost of 20 years of living in the DR you only saw one Trannie in Sosua. Question was it this one? https://youtube.com/shorts/zL6EHMcktGw?si=BivB-_4r5XCVHo2z.
The trannie in the video I see that person every time I go to Sosua. And not only him at least 11 more of them hell the owner of Rumbas makes announcements all of the time telling customers do not bring them to his restaurant! I followed your advice on the references to payments I had to go into extreme detail why the women charge what they charge vs accepting 2000 pesos from the tourist in Sosua. There are lots of pimps in Sosua you been there for a while the thing is it's the ho's jobs to get money and the pimp do collect a cut. Anyone who visits Sosua a lot or speaks Spanish knows that the some of the German bar owners pimps young Haitian women. Some of them have Dominican pimps and speaking of pimping I'm not trying to deter anyone from visiting there because of pimps! I'm just making an awareness that it's there and have some guys know hey think twice of western Union some gals some money because it might go to her pimp too!
You made a reference to every woman in that town is a ho and that's not true and to be honest the vast majority of the women there are not working girls they're just girls who live in a town whom income is centered around sex tourist's misinformation such as that can cause people to become extremely judgmental of individuals quickly. I do not want to get into an heated argument with you nor anyone about Sosua. I appreciate the information given by you, Sub and Mr. E. And I respect having to do business with Black American guys, the Germans and the Canadians. You'll dealing with less scammers and more fairer prices on things than dealing with locals.
True story I was in Santo Domingo Zona Colonial on my first trip to the DR I wanted to rent a second hotel room to trick off in. A hotel with no windows, AC nor a ceiling fan inside I speak Spanish with a NYC accent dude they was trying to charge me $75 a night! Hey I thought they were going to show a mulatoo brother some love because I'm Latino also hell I was wrong. Now when I asked a woman how much the rooms should've cost she told me $40.
The vast majority of women in Sosua are free lancers. I have seen almost no pimping. Most women roll in on Thursday and roll out on Sunday or Monday. I have known several hundred women and 99% were free lancers. I am sure many had boy friends and husbands. Almost all the chicas I dealt with were week end puntas. No doubt there are a few guys working with some girls but they are the acception.
A few thoughts from The Cmdr
This question not only goes out to you but to of the others who aggressively defend that thrash town! As if you're trying your best to not scare people away from there.
I own a business in the Dominican Republic but not in Sosua and nothing to do with tourism at all. I would not want to scare people from Sosua. There is no place like Sosua.
Like you, I see that it has pluses and minuses. But in the minds of some people (one in particular comes to my mind) if you say anything negative about Sosua or list the positives and negatives about the place you receive a cachopany of discordant voices shouting you down. Like they be pimpin and your words going to cut into their income. In my opinion, they are like the girl who has been kidnapped that falls in love with her kidnapper.
Nah, I just want to keep it real. I look at things as an outsider. I know that no matter what I do, I will never be Dominican. I am not engaged in self deception.
Things have been this way in the Sosua Reports thread ever since I started posting on ISG. I will stipulate to several points. Most who visit Sosua do not post on ISG. Then again everyone who does not post on Sosua is not sharing their views with us so we do not know what they think. The individuals among us that post on ISG cannot make the assumption that all is well and good with them. Yet that is what the do in order to be disagreed with those of us who keep it real about the place.
I personally do not see a lot of criticism of Sosua. Sosua is what it is. IMO if you come to Sosua and you don't have fun then it is your own damn fault. Sosua is so much more than just the girls.

Just sharing my experiences and what I remember of them. Besides I do not think that what anyone says here will stop anyone determined to visit. I've never let anything I've read on ISG stop me from doing something I wanted. I've always appreciated those who keep it real and who have "boots on the ground".
There is always going to be that difference between the expat view and the visitors view. As a former expat of the Dominican Republic, I recognize that visitors are not going to see things the same way as I am. Hell, I recognize that expats are not going to see things the same way as I am. I consider myself a visitor to Sosua who speaks Spanish and knows the Dominican Republic. I much prefer talking about the place than defending myself from constant ad hominem because someone does not like my view of the place.
You are keeping it 100 here I have had at least 6 chicas with jobs flat turn me down when I asked them out on a date. I figured that they had income so I didn't insult them with a direct pay for play offer. They still refused. I understand why. They probably view me as just another visiting mother fucker who is trickin. They were right. LOL!

After all these years you would think people would be able to let others have their say then speak their piece without all the personal attacks. The flame wars you see are between individuals that have been rivals for years. Hostilities flare up for no reason and die down again. It is the normal ebb and flow in the Sosua Reports thread. Keep up your good posting. Glad I finally wrote something that somebody found useful. LOL!

Let me share a story from Santo Domingo este. I was at my favorite location on V Ave for roast chicken across from the La Sirena. The chica I was with place her order. Then I placed mine. When I he gave me the price for my order it was double the normal price. Now the price was posted on a board on the wall. I knew the price was wrong so I asked again. The chica I was with was incensed and pointed to the price chart on the wall. He was shocked that she was defending me. But he gave me the correct price. As we walked back to the Gran Jefe mobile to head back to my apartment she said that "people like that give Dominicans a bad name. He would have pocketed the difference for himself. ".
I have no need for flame wars. It end here for me unless of course it does not for other. If people would just attack the ideas (if they must be critical) instead of the man. The process of sharing information on having sex with girls in this thread would get much easier.
Ride by myself; Smoke by myself; Fuck dem god damn hoes by myself!
The weed in Thailand is strong and plentiful But I do not partake. Throughout my life I have never started a physical confrontation with anyone. Those who have done so with me (absent of taking a cheap shot) have been left pondering if was a good decision. When it comes to words, I do not hesitate to speak directly. Doing that has not always served me well. But it has allowed me to keep it real and be a real man.
In my world, you do not pick a fight (verbally or physically) and not expect to get hit back). I don't care how popular someone is IRL, when they start it, when they stick their nose into man business, when they troll across multiple country threads, they are either suffering from a psychotic break, bi-polar or both.
In my world, you don't throw shit like that around, and not expect flame wars.
Talk to your court jester. Ask him if he can speak for himself after beating on his chest while speaking strongly. He started it. He made three posts in the rants thread of two countries. I simply responded. Which, I might add is the purpose of the threads so that reports that sharing information on having sex with girls can be enjoyed in the appropriate threads.
Someone said free shots are not allowed. Well that is universal. Any complaints about my work can be brought to the attention of the Administrator who will not hesitate to hit me with a infraction if I have violated the standards of conduct for the site.
I shall now clean my ginsu and put it away (no profanity) until it is needed again. You would think that living the simply outstanding life that you lead would not allow you the time to step in the middle of the business of two men. But maybe not. Your years of of being productive are over after all. LOL!
