Interesting discussion about these two venues. They are quite close to each other though on opposite sides of Suk. I think the Den starts tapering off around the time Thermae is opening so possible to hit both starting around sundown.
The problem with the Den are the lack of many women there on most nights and the rather high price they are asking when you consider that the short term rooms on the premises are 500 baht. So for the punter who said he a girl asked for 2000 baht, I am assuming that did not include the room. Add in drinks and you easily are at 3 k baht. Also, the time in the room will be a flat one hour or when you come as it's generally one shot.
Compare that to Thermae where Uncle V notes you can take a girl ST for more than an hour and the drinks are cheaper. I love close by so could eschew the short time hotel opinion.
Since recent reports seem to suggest an uptick in girls interested in farangs, I may have to take a flier there and see what happens.

Things can change a bit. I am always wary about girls looking for Japanese and Korean that get dick scared, and legs go very stiff, when with Farangs though. A frequent problem at Asian oriented Soapies these days.

As my taste usually leads me to coyotes, I chat and drink with them, and collect Line IDs. Then we arrange some meeting outside working hours for standard price, or even less, as most of them turn into genuine GFE.

I have barfined a special dance show girl at Midnite a few years back but that may have been for the take over by "the Arab". I have heard rumours that the Arab bars girls are not barfinable "officially" however have not checked recently. Was "the Arab" owner really trying to combat prostitution? Or just money laundering? I have barfined Coyotes at Doll House and at Nana Plaza bars.
Easy Bar is an outside street bar in Soi Asoke close to Cowboy. Close to entrance to MRT underground. Has only one LB, very charming, the rest real girls. Street portable bars close on a Monday. It's not really legal to sell alcohol on the street like this. However Police take their bribes.
Warning. Some of these bars can be almost all LBs near to corner of Asoke and Sukhumvit. One or two LBs very nice, with hot extra curvy bodies, just for a chat (for me not for sex). I need real pussy to turn me on (and real tits) and cute little upturned noses. However many customers prefer the LBs. No idea why this is. Presence of a dick would definitely kill it for me. Every time I visit Asoke Place ST Hotel, they almost always have a Japanese/Korean customer with a LB. Farrangs usually are more brazen and take back to their own Hotel I guess. At Easy, I heard that Mr. John Irish (made up name - I have chatted with him in the past) wanted to take the LB to get a passport and take her overseas with him. So they can be very popular, not just for a curiosity one off.
I was shown some video of the recent Tiffanies beauty pageant for girls of the "2nd type". I asked Miss "Eye" if she ever entered a beauty competiton. She said no she could not because she is a "Garee" in her own words (rather derogatory Thai word for a hooker). She said she might quit being a hooker for a while and enter a pageant. However the completion is extremely tough.
Not sure if it's been noted here on this thread but a major Buddhist holiday occurs this Friday celebrating the life of Buddha. As such, all bars and restaurants are supposedly shuttered with the possible exception of Patong.

April 06 Chakri Day.
Apr 13,14, 15 Songkran Festival Thai New Year.
May 2 Labour Day (observed) May 1st.
May 5 Coronation Day.
May 6 Public Holiday Bridge holiday after Coronation Day.
May 9 Royal Ploughing Ceremony Government.
May 20 Visakha (Wisakha) Bucha Day .
Public Servants get so many days off. I had to wait till May 10 after very long weekend to visit Immigration and of course this meant the queues were extra long, so I further delayed it till May 11. I normally don't drink alcohol, so hardly give a shit if alcohol is available or not.
I guess some monger places will still be open May 20. I will check. Alcohol sales will not be officially legal. Unlikely to stop Crazy House. LOL I can recall places serving alcohol in a teapot or coffee pot years ago, to make it less obvious. I hardly give a shit if alcohol is available or not. Doesn't really assist me in any way.

Not only because of the little darlings lined up around the walls, but I've also met some interesting guys there. Beers are only 100 baht and there's no pressure from the ladies. It's similar to Soi 7 beer garden in that you can totally shoot the shit with fellow mongers until you're ready to grab a gal and go. Never been to the Den, but I've read that it's pricey and it never really looked interesting to me in the first place.

My school probably wouldn't have told us until Thursday night that we could take the next day off. Oh well, at least I found out and thankfully this Filipino I've been talking to, as well, doesn't care and is down to hang out.
For days like this, Pat Pong is your best bet if you want to go out and grab a few. The supermarkets, 7/11's and Family Mart won't be selling beer either, but you can count on the little mom and pop stores to do so.
That is the good thing about working in Thailand is the number of holidays you get off. The bad thing is, unless you find out when these days are for yourself, your employer won't tell you until the last minute.

But one other thing to consider; I doubt many of those "3,000 baht to the bar and 3,000+ baht to her" girls rack up very much time and experience in a room alone with a customer. Nothing close to what the regular go-go bargirls do, that is. They certainly don't need to be barfined or paid by a customer for sex in order to make a living. If they did, they wouldn't be Coyotes, right?
And they certainly don't see themselves as actual P4 P girls, at least far less so than their regular go-go bargirl counterparts. They are "models" or "pretties" for the bars, dontcha' know? Which means it is not likely that those Coyotes would give even as good a quality of service as a regular go-go dancer committed to the idea and the industry, much less twice as good.
However, I understand that some customers think looks is enough to justify two or three times what other girls cost. So, if that is the case and your criteria, if being seen walking out of a bar with what you perceive is the hottest girl in the joint provides a good 80% or better of what you are after on a given night, then I guess you can't go too far wrong for the money no matter how lousy she might be in the room.
