Nothing really new to add, but I just wanted to say thanks to the forum members here I was able to easily find FS on my first trip to Vietnam.
I went to bar 91 on Hai Ba Trung street, which was easy to find, and there were probably about 12 girls working and only 2 other customers. As has been discussed here before, they lined up the girls when I asked them to and I chose one to sit and talk with me. Unfortunately she didn't know that much English at all and we didn't end up clicking, but I did check on the price. I was quoted at 1. 3mil for the girl + 600k for the barfine + 300k for the hotel. So 2. 2mil up front and then I'm sure the girl would've asked for a tip at the end. I thought that was on the higher side and they wouldn't budge on the pricing (at this point we had each had only one drink) and I didn't really hit it off with the girl so I just gave her a small tip, paid my bill and left. The mototaxi guys out front got me and brought over some girls. Definitely young girls and as far as I was concerned, essentially the same quality as the girls in 91. They chose the hotel. Which was just a few doors down from 91. And in the end I ended up paying 1. 1mil for the girl+tip+hotel.
On a different day I also went to Ben Ny's and, as reported, it was very easy to find. I just found a mototaxi and told him to go to Dien Bien Phu in the Bihn Thanh district. From PNL street in District 1, he quoted me at 80k one way and 150k round trip. Just walked into Ben Ny's laid 120k on the table and kept walking to where the girls are. The first girl grabbed me but she looked pretty good, so I was fine with her. The rest is essentially as described in earlier posts, but there wasn't a massage it was just straight back to the small rooms where she pulled down my pants, cleaned me up and went to business. 150k tip at the end, so for $16 it really can't be beat.
Place is a dump. Decent selection of girls. Mostly 6 to 8. No stunners. Some very annoying / pushy girls. To the point of wanting to leave.

Upstairs with the girl. 1M to the bartender (or $50. 00 USD) ; this amount is split between the bar and girl.

Actually not exactly disagreeing because we come to about the same conclusion (not recommended) but to say there are 8's there might be misleading. I realize the scale is subjective, but I don't' think there's many guys who would think there are any in that place that qualify as an 8, and maybe not even as a 6. And especially after visiting other bars in the area. I can say with certainty, there's not one girl in 29 who is more attractive than the worst girl in 91. That is a place that has 7s to 9s with occasional 10s. And using that scale, 29 probably tops at about a 4.
I don't think 29 has gotten any new girls in about 5 years, it looks like a lineup that's mostly over 30, some real hardened ones who are staying in this line of work much too long.
You didn't specify what service you got upstairs, though you dropped one strong clue that it was FS.
For looks, 91 is the clear class of the lot, 51 and 49 probably come in 2nd with 35 HBT and Bin Bin on Le Thanh Ton after that. In most of the other bars you'll be lucky to find even one that's as cute as most of them are at 91.
If you like cute ones, I'd say just don't bother with 29, or Thien Loc on HBT, or 49 Dong Khoi, and probably a few more. What I need help with is a hotel recommendation. I stayed at Elios last time, it was a nice hotel but I had the common problem of not being able to bring a girl back to my room. I plan to go back to Saigon in about 2 months and was wondering if there was any hotel in District 1, 3 star preferably, that lets that slide. I ended up getting a hotel room each night of the strip, for about 10$ a night, but would rather have a place where I feel comfortable and not have to get new rooms all the time. Went around HCM to check out the scene. Stayed in District 1 and found plenty to keep busy with there.
The main drag there has at least 15 girlie type bars and if they are all similar to the one I went to (which I suspect) then they all offer take-out service.
