I did literally nothing today. Medium grade headache, the air quality has been horrible. I made some new contacts on Facebook and got some more numbers.
I had a date set with Estefania, 2 pops, oral natural, 3 hours, 300 k. I wasn't really feeling into it today, not because of her, just in general, but we had scheduling difficulties like 3 times already so I just said fuck it, I want to check this girl out and I only got 9 days left.
Pollos Mario for lunch which I have probably ordered 5 times now and I really enjoy. They have a few options but I've been going with the rotisserie chicken, potatoes, arepas, rice, beans, plaintain. Estefania shows up 15 minutes late, no problem at all with that and is super cute. Security didn't call me and we assumed they called the wrong apartment so it was weird when she showed up. I would value your opinion and others as I have a flight back to California on the 15th to take care of some business matters, with a return to Medellin on the 19th. I have made arrangements to handle my business matters remotely if necessary, and my concern is two fold, I am concerned that if I leave, there is a chance I might not be able to come back as the news only get's uglier everyday now that the USA is on the radar. The other concern is where would I rather ride out the Storm, in California or Medellin. I have comfortable living arrangements here and there so that is not an issue in the equation. After reading about literally one third of Italy being locked down like what China did, I think it would be horrific if say Los Angeles were quarantined.
I'm also concerned about what things would be like in Medellin if it were to be hit hard like Italy or South Korea and with it being a third world Country it would be ill equipped to deal with things.
My thinking now is to stay in Medellin, and if it starts to get bad, meaning that the Colombia is going to get blackballed, I will just fly somewhere else as I have the resources to do this. So ideally, who wouldn't want to be "stuck" in Medellin, but I'm not sure. The last thing I want to do is get stuck somewhere having no flexibility, and I am very lucky that all options are open for me versus most others. I am curious as to what others think I should do.

In regards to Covid, yea I'm with you 100% I hope it also dies out and goes the way of SARS but that spanned 9 months and only what, 8500 people contracted it? We've surpassed that by 15 x in just 2-3 months and I'd guess FAR more since so many are undiagnosed due to lack of test kits, bla bla we all know the reasons. SARS did have a far higher mortality rate but I think Covid is going to infect WAY more people.
I'm not very concerned for myself, I am young 30's and in good health, but the reality is that I just rather not take the chance. My home is very comfortable and if my worst case scenario is that I stay there for 60-90 days and spare myself a hospital stay, count me in. I generally cook all my own meals, the real only difference is that I will be going to the beach and restaurants less. It's a small price to pay to just avoid the whole thing.
Also recognize Puerto Rico imports over 90% of its food, so stocking up is also because I know how quickly every store sells out of food when people panic. Literally in 2-3 hours. The supply chain is a significant problem there, one that mainlanders will encounter far less.

Only you can really answer that for you. For me, that's in my own home.

Getting high and fucking 5 girls everyday is hard work), I would do it in a heart beat. If the world is going to end, I much rather be in the place I love. I don't have girlfriend / wife / kids and my parents are well off, so it is easy for me to make this call.
In terms of infrastructure, I have seen better infrastructure in Medellin than in California; more places in Medellin have strong LTE signal than California, the laundry service is faster, better and cheaper, rappi puts uberEats to shame, the public transportation is better (there is no real metro in California and no WiFi on the Caltrain). In Medellin you can find bars and clubs open until 6 am everyday, it's fucking last call at 1:40 am in every bar in California, Monday-Sunday. Even el centro is cleaner and better organized than the Tenderloin in San Francisco, I feel a lot safer in centro than in the tenderloin, and I speak zero Spanish (well, I have learned more than 100 words now, so I probably speak 0. 1% Spanish now). I can only imagine a better hospital system in Medellin. Only two things that are lacking in Medellin; one, there is no Apple Store in the city, if you crack your phone's screen, you can't use your AppleCare. Two, almost no one drives a Tesla, don't people care about the environment and indirectly supporting spaceX's mars mission?

I also planned to stay in Medellin, but now I am debating.
I have the following concerns:
1. I think it is much easier to catch it here than in Cali because I am switching girls here almost daily. That doesn't happen back home.
2. And if you catch it here, I don't know how well local healthcare can deal with it.
3. If it spreads here, I am not sure how badly it will affect daily consumables, food supply etc. I think USA supply chain will be affected less.

Real talk: There is no treatment so it doesn't matter where you are if you get it. What does matter is your current health (I. E. Compromised immunity, old age, pre-existing respiratory ailments). Everybody has to decide for themselves. I don't plan to sequester myself indefinitely because I am in good health. Thank goodness.
