I'll take your tour in Laureles, or take you on one to some sections of El Centro. But then let me give you a tour of a US city, or worse, a US small town. Let me show you the houses surrounded by so much junk and garbage you can't see the house. Let me show you yards full of broken down cars, old TVs and rotting furniture. Let me show you the garbage strewn along the streets and highways, the vacant buildings and abandoned houses. Then we'll sit down in Flint for a glass of tap water.

Check out the parks in Medellin, or Bogota. First thing in the morning you'll see people out cleaning park benches, picking up trash, raking leaves. Or just walk down the street. Chances are you'll see a city employee tending landscaping, gathering trash or doing something to keep the city looking good.

Check out the streets themselves. Other than in much of El Centro, you'll find tree-lined avenues, with flowers and native plants. Avenida Poblado is gorgeous.

Check out the public transportation while you're at it. I looked into using public transportation in Indianapolis several years ago. To get from home to work required 6 different buses and nearly 4 hours, plus a 20 minute walk. In Medellin I'm rarely more than 30 minutes away from anywhere and the cost is under $1.

Medellin certainly has its share of problems, but in many ways it could teach the US a thing or two.

I know a few places in Poblado that do repair, but they don't accept AppleCare, I ended up paying 300 dollars to repair my screen for a phone that is under AppleCare.

Good to know that regarding Poblado. I don't spend much time in Poblado and didn't live there. 90% of my experience in Medellin is based on Laureles.

With her I'll specify how long I want her there. When she knows I won't let her do that, she's a solid performer. Otherwise, I only make an issue if the girl says 1 hour. Tell her it wouldn't be fair to her to spend so much time and only get to have fun for 1 hour. Then offer another day when she can spend 2 or 3 hours. My advice is to be direct. If they're not interested in coming over for sex, move on.

In most of Poblado you'll probably be okay walking after dark. Same with Laureles. Stay with the crowds. Avoid the deserted streets. If there aren't any people there, there's nothing for you to see.

You can find gringos throughout Parque Lleras. Patrick's Irish Pub and Juan Valdez are common Hangouts.

There is no real bar girl equivalent. Here are some options:

Gusto and other Parque Lleras clubs. You'll find working girls in most of them. They tend to be expensive.

Strip clubs. They run from cheap to expensive. Mostly it's on-site service.

The bar at the Mansion. It's a 50 k cover charge to get in. All the girls are working. Prices will be around 200 k. You'll have to take them off-site.

The El Centro bars. There's an area with dozens of bars, stocked with girls. Most of the girls are just there to get you to buy them overpriced drinks. However, some are available and others will consider coming to see you.

I've been more clear with what I want upfront because they are clear that it is only 1 pop for their asking price. The reality is I know I am going to want two. There has only been one time I didn't want it and I offered her less to leave early and she accepted and it wasnt a big deal. She hit me up this morning to hang out again so no hard feelings I guess.

All the other FB chicas have been two pops and enthusiastic performers for both rounds. Actually, the second round has been even better than the first, we've had another drink, we've had some food which has been appreciated universally, or I cooked for them which really took things up a notch. Noticeable increase in performance. Last night was the first time a chica tried to duck out early without honoring the second round, and between her personality and tussi usage (forgot to mention that in my report), I was good with it ending early, so I ate 50-75 k, not a life changer.

Some are going to be like striking gold, most won't be. As this is my first trip here, I'm willing to invest a little more to get more time with these chicas to find the ones I want to see again. As I mentioned, they are hitting me up and offering to come for less now, so I think the initial investment was worth it. I'm not positive on that yet though but it looks that way.

While its a poor comparison, even at 2 hours for 300 k, let alone the 4-5 hour chicas for 300 k, its insane value. I'd be paying $150-200/ HR where I live or $300/ HR mainland. This whole trip being frivolous is costing me less than half of what I expected!

I had no idea local economy depended so much on oil. It probably depends significantly on tourism too.

I'm with you. I can't be bothered. One of the advantages of Medellin is if you want another pop or more time, just go get another girl.

For much less than $300 you could have shipped the phone to be repaired and then back to you. Yes, you should have a spare to use in case of loss, theft, or damage.
