With the whole coronavirus scare, I think it'd be best if I pulled the trigger and visited Medellin for the first time before the inevitable travel bans, policies, and whatever. I have a few questions after RTFF, and I'd love and appreciate a response:

- Do I have to watch out for AirBnbs if I get an apartment? I read somewhere that they check for girls and will ask for a girl fee if the building is managed?

- Is it better to stay a little more south in Medellin, like by the modern art museum?

- I'm not fluent in Spanish at all (Asian dude here), should I try to find places that cater more towards English speakers, or pray for Google Translate to work?

Met up with Junior11 this morning in Laureles to walk around and see more of that area. El Centro Street Action.

So this was where I would normally start off my days after breakfast. I would usually get to el centro around 1130 am. My daily routine was doing a few laps around plaza Botero, Veracruz and the raudal area before going for a casa visit. Let's start off with plaza Botero.

Plaza Botero.

So this is usually where I would start things off. There are plenty of girls hanging about in this area. Unfortunately I never saw any girls here to my liking. It's one block of street action on both sides of the street. When you get to calle 51 make a left turn. Calle 51 has some street action, it's also where most of the trans hangout. From calle 51 once you past the white church make a left turn and that will lead you back to plaza Botero.

You will find most girls hanging out in front of the short time motels. Some will be outside with a few hanging out in the staircases leading up to the short time rooms. You'll also see some girls hanging out in the bars and the small slot machine casinos along this area.

I would walk this area at different times throughout the day. Except for calle 51 at night, it was just too dimly lit and I wouldn't recommend walking down that path after dark. The latest I strolled through this area was no later than 10 pm. At night on avenida Cundinamarca there was always a big police presence on both sides of the block.
