Actually, I came to LOS this time after the Zika Virus stuff hit Brazil, and concerns about its spread in Colombia, Central America and the Caribbean later this year (by the CDC). I've been following this stuff very closely as I also invest in the pharma sector and love to get into the science of viruses and their mutation (but that's another story about 'life' broadly defined I. E, biological life).

Actually, there has been 1 case. At least. Even in frickin Maui, Hi, where I will be in July. And, I had promised many chicas to be back in the DR because it's low season then in Oct and I get great deals in the all inclusive resorts, where I often take different chicas for a few nights. And rotate around.

But due to Zika, instead of going somewhere in Latin America, as I probably would have, in January, I plan to leave for LOS on Jan 3rd for 4-5 weeks. I think this past LOS trip, for me, can be partly, or even largely, chalked down to getting some experience in Pattaya. I hope to use and build on that during the next trip. So, if you happen to be back around then, I think we can jointly take over from Mr ENT who now seems to only want to bowl at 3 pm and go to ' asleep' by 8 pm. LOL. Somebody has to help the Pattaya girls, right?

Cambodia in the late 90's springs to mind. Also places that are experiencing strife. I would imagine Venezuela would be quite good at the moment considering their current economic meltdown. If there is a Zika scare all over Latin America, then that would be the time for me to head there. But alas, it is a bit too far from LOS.

But I bet the dudes that braved it were rewarded with some excellent P4 P with great looking gals at very low prices. [/QUOTE]I don't get it. Why be concerned so much about Zika? You might get struck by lightning in Thailand, or eaten by crododile, hit by truck, or get HIV. I have never been too concerned about SARS, Bird Flue, and many other health scares, because the actual risks are not that significant (relatively speaking).

I was not that concerned about SARS or Bird Flu either. And, I am NOT a scientist but love getting into the details of science shit.

This specific mutation in a specific type of mosquito has many super virus scientists stumped. First, it has figured out a way to penetrate the blood- brain barrier, and even in the womb of a pregnant woman it has even managed to get into the umbilical cord and the placenta (CDC have discovered this through specific testing) from there into the brain of the fetus. Not always resulting ONLY in the extremely smaller brain of the baby problem BUT also microencephaly (more so in Colombia).

And, in men, much to everyone's surprise once the virus has cleared the rest of the body in about 2-3 weeks max, they are finding cases in men where it has been able to cleverly hide in testicles for months, where ones immune system is usually not that effective. And, it is also spread sometimes through sex. Another unusual thing...plus via the saliva (but not fully understood). Even more unusual.

So, it's one of the most clever mutations and is spread by version of the Aegyptes mosquito. Its the incredible cleverness that has me concerned. So, easier to spread and difficult to kill all such mosquitoes. In summary, it has many unique mutational characteristics that has scientists stumped. It will be another 2 years before a very effective vaccine can be found and made generally available. For me, it's the breaching the blood- brain barrier and the testicles thing that has me worried because this one is sooo clever. And, there is much we still don't know about these 2 things. However, statistically it still is a long shot, I agree.

Staying indoors in an AC area (many P4 P places in Colombia, Peru and Brazil don't have AC). Around dusk and during and after rains and avoiding areas with standing water should further mitigate risk very substantially. So, just go in an AC taxi from AC hotel to a dance club, return same way with a chica and stay in an AC room and one can mitigate stats further. Most girls though in the DR, Peru, Brazil (Rio in particular) don't live in apartments with AC and also live in areas with standing water.

I had been told by a FL that Thursday night was ladies night at KuDeta but when I looked up the name on the web to confirm this information, a web report noted that Ladies night is actually Wednesday (free sparkling wine for the ladies) and that name of the club has been changed to Cest La Vi. I guess if one is planning on having kids or is married then Zika would be a concern. To me it's simply meh.

This is one of the reasons over 100 scientists and doctors wrote to the WHO, just yesterday, asking that the Rio Olympics either be postponed, or relocated, from Rio de Janeiro. You can google it, if you want.

If you are not having kids, it is really not a worry.

It seems although the virus clears most of the body rather quickly, it remains in men's testicles for a fairly long period of time. At least that is what CNN reported a few months ago. Moreover, there is at least some evidence it can occasionally lead to Guillain Barre Syndrome, which can be a very serious disease. I have been absent from BBeat for the last few nights busy with either checking out Mixx Club or resting between escapades.

I stopped in to BB around 11 pm and initially observed the usual crew of FL's and waited for patiently for some new girls to come in. Eventfully, I was rewarded when I spotted two girls dancing wildly with each other. One wore a tight white t-shirt and had an absolutely great rack and ass and appeared to be older than the other who had more of the traditional Thai figure of small tits and flat ass though both were disguised by a loose flowing dress. They were doing the dirty dancing thing with each other that I have observed several times here and other clubs though not sure if that is an attempt to entice guys or they are genuinely doing this provocative behavoir for their own amusement.

What I noticed most were they both were steadfastly ignoring me despite the fact I had sat down at a standing table right in front of them. I figured the girl in white would not last long so wanted to be well positioned if the opportunity presented itself. For several minutes while I observed, I thought they could even be lesbians. Finally, after 15 minutes she noticed me and both started a chat along with her girl friend. Five minutes later, they invited me to join them at Levels Club on Soi 11 so we hopped in a cab. However, on the way over I remembered that I was wearing open sandals, which is a no-no at Levels. The girls quickly changed the venue to Climax. I hate that club, even though I have only been once but did not want to appear to be a twink so relented. They asked that I pay their entry fee, which includes a free drink and I agreed.

After we arrived, my new girl was already hanging all over me and there was little doubt where we would end up at the end of the evening. However, she first brought me over to a table near the bathrooms where she introduced me to several girl friends all clearly working girls but all considerably younger. Then she first attempted to ask me if I wanted any of her younger friends because she said I am older and my friends are really hot and I want you to be happy. WTF? She spoke very good English and on one occasion pointed out the other girl we came with and said I could take her home instead for 3000 bt for the nignt and she would be cool with it. However, I really wanted to see this girl naked and kept telling her that I only wanted her. Her body was that amazing.

Here is where it got interesting, as all of a sudden I felt that I was readily accepted within this covy of girls -- a co-conspirator as it were. Her friends were all laughing quite a bit when we arrived because some moron had paid (earlier in the evening) one of the girls 4000 bt for short term and they were quite amused that the girl got her ask price without negotiation. My girl was translating into English what occurred. As it turned out, I found out a bit later that this girl and another girl had both received 4000 for an under one hour threesome. The first girl, in fact, was quite upset with the other girl because she was providing really bad service during the threesome and was being difficult to the point the guy almost changed his mind about carrying on, but ended up giving both girls the money after some argument. She was upset with the other girl for providing bad service, though in the end he paid 8000 bt total for under one hour of apparently quite bad service. Also, I have to add that there were tons of attractive and young FL's in there. It would have been pathetically easy to find a nice one for I would think 2000 short term or 3000 long term, or even less if you tap the right right one, so not sure what planet this guy was on.

I really liked the maturity of my girl as she declined another drink and said to me, 'I am ready when your ready. ' So I quickly quaffed my beer and we returned to my apartment. I will spare you the sexy details but in the words of Teri Hatcher, the actress in that famous Seinfeld episode, who said to Jerry after he blew his chance with her, that 'they are real and they are spectacular'. They certainly were and the best rack I have seen all winter.

She stayed to noon today and I had multiple pops and a very passionate night. This girl must have been the oldest girl of my Bangkok stay as she is 40 yo but for a 67 yo guy (still young enough to be my daughter 555), it was nice change of pace to be with someone who was mature, spoke good English, and was an accomplished lover.

It's been a few years since I was there last, but when I did go, I usually had a great time. I find the wait staff too pushy, there is too much smoke, and the band is loud and very middling, but I always find someone to my liking. Have you changed your mind at all about Climax since this event?

It's fabulous to sample from the youth tray, but sometimes, you want someone with the sense that comes only with a few extra years. Those years usually come with 10 extra pounds and a few extra crow's feet, but if you can handle that, it's worth it once in a while.

Last Tuesday I came to BK for the first of three evenings in the land of smiles. I had made arrangements with Breadman's recommended friend, whose name is Jay to meet me and help me with any needed translations, etc. I have used a similar tact in China and Columbia in the past with good results. Let me say that Jay is a good guy and was worth the money I gave him. My personal choices of venues did hamper his efforts, but that was my call not his. I am not much into gogo's as I rarely find a girl that I really want to take out. I tend to like FL's more and the whole gogo scene just doesn't do it for me. As a rule. I had a beer at The Den while waiting for Jay to make his way into town and for a first visit was pretty pleased. If not for it being my first stop on the first night there were a couple of gals that would have gotten an offer.

After dinner, I explained that I really wasn't going to be out late, due to early commitments the next morning. And yes this is a recurring theme. My research here indicated that places like Spasso's got started a little early, so we went there about 9:30 pm. They were still serving dinner and even though the sign said the band started at 9:00 there was only one lady there. We decided to head to Climax to see what we could find. Well Climax has a deal for a half price bottle before 11:00 pm, but the catch is you cannot save it for another day. I decided to pay regular price (they don't accept credit cards FYI) so that I could have the save option. Also you get four mixers, but not including cranberry juice, only allowed one cranberrry juice included in the price. We walked in and I am not kidding. There was not a single lady in the place that was not staff. I almost laughed out loud. Almost.

We had one round of drinks, and decided to head back to Spasso's. When we walked in there were more than a few of very pretty and sexy girls, all dressed up, nails, hair. The whole thing. To my surprise there were also a few rather rotund ladies, that I have to give credit for even trying. To my eye they stood an equal chance to getting a client as a snowball in Hades, but what do I know.

I read the forum about this place and was prepared for a bit of sticker shock. Spasso's is in the Hyatt and much like Brix in Singapore runs on the expensive side. I didn't know how expensive, but I was about to find out. Ordered two house brand vodka cocktails, and got the bill. It was the most I have ever paid for a non-call brand cocktail. Anywhere. I paid more that 1400 baht. There were three different taxes or charges that added about 400 baht to the bill, including an "E-tax", which I found out is an entertainment tax to pay for the live band.

After restarting my heart, chatted up a couple of lookers, and Jay got us started with a few really pretty girls. Found one gal back in the corner with a bit of a "school teacher" look, glasses, nice dress, red heels. And best of all a nice smile. I thought she had a really cute figure and gave me the "I'll go the extra mile to make you happy vibe". Chatted for a few minutes and asked her if she did short time. She replied yes, and my fee is 6000 baht. I was amazed, I thought she had misunderstood I only wanted short time. I didn't misunderstand at all, she meant 6 K for short time.

I countered with 2 K which I knew was not going to happen, but would have been curious if she would have agreed to 2500, but her "best price because I like you" price was 5 K. I smiled and walked away. I did talk to a couple of extraordinarily pretty girls, but quickly realised that the price of fun in Spasso's exceeded my interest.

Taxied back to Climax, reopened the bottle and now this place was also rocking. Obviously the talent level was much lower, but found a few interesting options. Jay was quick to "bird dog" a couple of gals I was interested in meeting and finally I settled on a nicely formed lass of about 30 and she was happy to accompany me for the tidy sum of 1500 baht for short time. The service was good, but she really meant short time. Ha ha. Any effort to extend the session was met with resistance and finally I relinquished. A few fun positions, enough BJ to set the mood, a nice doggie finish and she was heading back to the club I'm sure less than 30 minutes after crossing my doorstep. No tip was given and when I was asked why, I told her that 30 minutes didn't deserve a tip. She kissed me on the cheek, smiled that "I had to ask" smile and off she went.

Education can be expensive, and in someways this night was, but I wanted to see what the "high end" market was like. I admit that some of the Spasso's ladies were spectacular and I would have enjoyed a romp with them. I suspect the ones that don't get picked wind up at another club later, but I didn't have the time.

I was happy with the way the evening turned out, even if not all that happy with the route to get there. How can you complain about having a lot of pretty ladies all wanting your attentions. Even if it is for a fee!
