This is a veeerrrryyyy long and overdue report. I had a decent time in Pattaya before I headed to BK. It was a Friday night and I started out on Soi Cowboy, only because I didn't get a good feel the last time I was here. I started in Baccara because I assumed it would be just as good as the one in Pattaya. However, I was dead wrong. This place was packed to the brim with both customers and girls. They wouldn't even let you in unless you bought a drink, which is complete garbage. The stage had so many girls that it just looked like a crowded nightclub on stage. They were all shy and I couldn't tell them apart, none were particularly attractive. There wasn't a single seat in the place. I did a big loop around and got the hell out of there. There were some hot girls standing outside to bait / lure the people in, it's the opposite strategy than pattaya (best girls inside, worst girls advertise outside). I headed out and went to suzie wong's. Not as packed, but the talent here wasn't any good either. I stayed for a bit and waited for the next rotation. Nothing good enough to convince me to stay. I wanted to try one more place, and that was Lighthouse. Pretty much the same thing. One of the punters says to me: "did you come for the girls, or do the girls come for you?" Suggesting that either the talent isn't on par for me, or that I'm too handsome haha.
Soi cowboy ended up being a pretty big disappointment, the entire place is now a touristing zoo, with East Asians coming (and bringing their families for God's sake!) to gawk at the entire spectacle.
So I head over to nana plaza, where I had great luck last time. I head into angel witch, and the mamasan remembers me from last year. I asked if the same girl from last year still worked here, surprising she did but wasn't working this night. Too bad. I go to r & b bar, used to be known as Rainbow 4. Same thing as last time, huge selection, a handful are within my parameters. But no one really sticks out for me. I head over to Rainbow 3, nothing much here and move on. It was getting late, and all of the prime girls were getting snatched up. I started to head over to erotica, but right when I was about to walk in, I saw a ladyboy working in there (not the good kind, the really butch ones that haven't gone through any surgery yet), but due to a potential "incident" (you can read about this in my previous posts) with me in pattaya, I didn't want to take any chances and asked the doorman if they have ladyboys working the stage. He says no, I point to the waitstaff, who then gets mad because (s) he heard me, and yells back angrily: "AM I DANCING ON STAGE?" the door man holds the person back and I walk away. I head over to suckers, it's super late, the entire plaza is getting quiet and empty. The mamasan and papasan remembers me from last time and gives me attention. Most of the girls in the place take notice, try to get my attention, and flirt with me from a distance. There were 3 pretty good looking girls in the place, and now I'm starting to think with my head. Then this gorgeous girl gets on stage and shows me her assets. The out front of Baccara are not doing it for me at all. They are not that specially pretty. A bit old if anything. I have looked over them only many times recently, without going inside. In fact there are only a very very few stunning front of house girls on the whole street. Recent very pretty girls that drew my gaze were in front of Sahara and Toy Bar, one other bar, one each. Probably just bait though.
It is normal for lady boys to have normal jobs. You don't need to cause a stir just because you detected one in the non dancing staff. That is real common. Crazy House is full of LB waitresses. How do our tastes differ so much? I did mention that many times there wasn't a great selection at most of the places I went to right? Do keep in mind, this is an old report, I went at peak tourist season (especially for east asians in February), so the selection should be better.

Of course this was because most were on fat expat packages or had quite a bit to retire early. Discos playing horrid music filled with Western YUDs (see above) and Middle Easterners who puff up and bump into you, and sadly gals who are attracted to such. Soi 6 has turned into a street of loud obnoxious bars as opposed to the nice quite brothels that used to be the rule of the day. Red Point seems to be the only establishment that stays with the old formula. The only saving grace was Kinnaree, which I must say has to be one of the best spots I have every been in. A true brothel, with decent prices on alcohol and women. What a wonderful formula and at the right price. We have The Den in BKK but it is double the price. If we had a Kinnaree here, they would have my business.
All in all though the development has ruined Pattaya for me. What was once solely the domain of mongers and P4 P gals has become a really cheap beach holiday destination for some of the most undesirable demographic elements on the planet.
So no, it ain't us. It's just changed.

We seem to enjoy the same places. Red Point is my favorite Soi 6 bar and I enjoy Kinnaree a lot since it's akin to the Germany FKK clubs. Even at twice the price I will definitely check out The Den in BKK. Are the girls as pretty as Kinnaree?
