Allow me to add this even though I know you touched on it; understanding the cultural context is another key.

Young chick with the older guy is much more common in LA than elsewhere. It's the mindset that understands the older guy is established, comfortable, mature & not cheap. He can afford to take you out to dinner & dancing without flinching or the spoiled, immature attitude of a local rich kid her own age.

I've seen & heard girls in LA reject guys in their 20's because they were just "chicos" and then go on to say: "Where are the "hombres" de 40 or 50 años. " (Besides me of course, LOL.

Can you post additional info about your bus ride from Cali? How much & how long? How often do they run? Are you returning to Cali for your flight back home? I have been meaning to check if it is possible to fly into Medellin and fly out from Cali. That way you only need a one-way bus ticket.

As you guys already know from previous reports, I sold my house in Envigado and purchased a home in Tampa, FL. So when I´m in town, My Place is now my home. Moved all my furniture from my Envigado house and made My Place look more homely. Love it here, never boring. Can go down the stairs and purchase $3US full meals, Metro near, supermarkets near, banks near, Mangos near and so on. I even walked from Palmahia this morning at 6:30 AM and window shopped the Mayorista girls, after putting my friend Kelly and her cousin in a Taxi. I thought I was going to miss Envigado, not a chance. Partied with my neighbors here at My Place all night on New Years and with my friend Kelly and cuz. When I´m here it´s good, and if I´m away in Tampa, I live behind a good administrator. Booked solid from Jan. 25-Feb. 7 with some of my regulars, ok after that.

My first impression is that people here are very arrogant (they think they are the best but most have never traveled anywhere else) and they are not as friendly towards foreigners as in Bogotá. They also are not as polite and educated in my opinion.

I don't agree that girls here are more beautiful, they are just more European. They look more European, they (try to) act European (cold and hard to get) and they like electronic music and rock. To each their own.

I've had the same problem as him so far: girls give me their numbers and kiss very easily but then they don't show up at dates. They flake, again and again, without warning you and then they don't answer their phones. I could believe it only happens to me but it does not seem so. And I am quite surprised nobody talks about that here.

Of course I've also had some good experiences (as I do anywhere) but all in all, for non-pros this town is not so great to me (when compared to Bogotá for example).

Medellin is great for cheap prostitutes in the day time casas (if that's your thing) and its good climate although it can be quite chilly at night.

I was checking my emails today when I noticed one from a guy I know only through email. He had contacted me a couple of years ago about going to Medellin for the first time but did not like the Mansion/Castillo scene and instead wanted to know of a good hotel. So I gave him a few suggestions and he did in fact use one I recommended when he made his first visit two years ago.

Like I said I only know this fella (who by the way gave me the name Diego but said it was not his real name) through email and have never met him in person. We had a couple of chances to meet when he and I were in Medellin at the same time but our schedules conflicted since his type of mongering and mine were completely different.

You see Diego was COMPLETELY interested in only NON-PRO's. He was so complete that he didn't even want to be seen around regular mongers like you and I for fear that his companions would think he too was a monger.

A little about Diego: Early on he told me he was 23, had inherited a good portion of a successful family business that made good money and was going to allow him to travel for long periods of time. Diego also said that he was (in his own words) above average looking so he knew he could strive for more of the "creme de la creme". He was of Hispanic decent and was 100% fluent in Spanish. He was not however interested in the women of his homeland however (he never said why). Diego said he had used the internet to research South America and Medellin kept popping up as being a place with the type of look and level of women he thought he would like. Along the way he came across this website ISG and WSA and had a friend purchase a membership for him on both and read many of the posts that I and others had written and enjoyed the pictures I and others had posted. It was on WSA that he got my e-mail address.

Diego's first contact with me as I remember was a bit insulting. He said that the girls that I photographed were less than the quality he was seeking and said that he was confident that with just a few visits he could establish himself in the Paisa world he wanted to be in. I provided him with a few good hotels including the Dann Carlton and Poblado Plaza (both places I'd rather not stay at) and I wished him the best of luck.

So for the past 2 years I have only heard from Diego a few times and it was always with a question: Did I know this person or have I ever been to this place or (even one time) did I know of a certain girls background (which was particularly odd because he sent me a picture of the girl with her face blocked out?).

So back to today, I get this email (he wrote it without paragraphs so I broke it up and corrected some misspelled words):

Hi how are you? I am not so well. I fucked up big time and I think I will not ever return to Colombia or at least for sure never to Medellin.

I had a (Colombian) friend there that I met that I met last July that has a beautiful sister. Just like the movie Scar Face, she was suppose to be off limits to me by her brother. I had lots of beautiful girls in and out of my bed in Medellin but maybe because I couldn't have this beautiful girl it was driving me mad.

Her brother said although he liked me he knew I was not going be able to get with her because he knew I would not be one to marry her but only to conquer in bed. On top of this she was a VIRGIN! I wanted her so bad that I just became stupid.

So I was in Medellin for Christmas and had a big party at my apartment. My friend and his sister and many others were invited. I kept him and his sister there the latest then when only us three were there, I got both of them real drunk with an Aguardiente drinking game. My friend passed out and it was just me and his sister.

Well you can guess what I did in the bedroom with is virgin sister (a virgin no more) so I will not say. When I got up my friend was up but would not talk to me. He told his sister to get ready to go and left as soon as she was ready.

I did not hear from him or his sister and I was afraid to call either one.

My friend called me on Wednesday and asked if I wanted to go out for New Years and I said sure and he said he was ok with what happened at the party. So I accepted. So he picked me up but only him and two other friends but not his sister. He said she was doing something else with her other friends. So we met up with some other people we know and had a great time.

BUT at about 4 am or so my friend was driving me home and he pulled into a dark place and pulled over and he and the other two guys got out and he opened my door and dragged me out. They threw me to the ground and kicked me and beat me at times with their fists. I was asking why why why? And all my friend kept saying was I was a piece of shit and I was going to die. I was crying in pain but they kept kicking me in the back and in the stomach and pounding me on the head and face.

Finally they stopped and my friend told the two guys to get in the car. Before he left he told me to get out of Colombia because I had no respect for his family and was lucky that I only got my ass kicked.

They left me and I lay there for what seemed like half an hour. I can barely remember how I did it but I found a taxi and managed to get home. The next day I get a call from my friend and he says he wanted me to know that he was serious and not only talking drunk that if I did not leave immediately I would be dead.

So I was able to leave the country on Saturday and I am home today and I look like shit I told the immigration there and here that I was mugged on New Years. I have three loose teeth and a black eye and a swollen lip. My body aches all over too.

Please, I am sorry but I am writing you to ask: (And this is where he asks for some advise on getting an attorney to proxy for his apartment lease and shipping or selling his furniture and close his bank accounts etc. Which I have referred him to someone I think can help.)

I must say this is a first and I never actually thought about this because it's not my cup of tea but I have to ask:

Those guys who get with the "IN" crowd and hunt the "higher end" non-pros, how long do you suppose you can do that with out running into a problem? I don't mean like an extreme like this guy Diego but just losing friends because of the fact that you are using them in your conquests? After all those non-pros are somebody's daughter, sister, cousin, niece etc. Right?

About 40k peso(I recommend Arauca) one way and takes about 8hrs. I returned home just before Christmas. My trip report is bit delayed due to Christmas and New Year party partay! Hehe I am sure you can arrange that with your airline but I recommend flying instead of bus. Very curvy mountain road. If you plan on taking night bus, (leaves 10-11pm, arrive 6-7am) make sure you take a jacket with you, mountain gets cold at night!

The first week in January is usually a difficult time to find girls available, but the better casas had a decent selection, especially NEW LIFE and SEXY.

NEWLIFE as always had the best selection. There were at least a dozen, maybe more, and a good selection at that.

We started out at SEXY, and there were about ten available.

Zandaly was closed, and the one next door was closed as well.

We went to Latina´s there were four.

Aiife, which a week ago had allporkers, but a friend of mine said he recently went and found a real nice one.

We tried to hit Angeles in Prado, but it was closed.

I finally realized the reason that it is confusing concerning the address of Sexy.

It isn´t that there is an old and a new address at all; it is that there are two of them.

They are on two different streets, a block away from each other.

I asked what the deal was. The answer that I got is that they are friends.

The selection is better ( more) at the one on Cra 45D #57-67.

Either way, we got serviced at Sexy first.

No problem finding two good ones there.

Ended up walking around to check the selection first at New Life, and a few others before going to lunch and discussing our next move.

We had lunch at an awesome place on Walkway Junin, then returned to New Life.

They had a few different ones available, I had one of the better sessions than I can remember.

The other guy picked out something that looked like she came from Dominica.

They both fucked each other to death.

After eating pizza back in my hood, he needed a Redbull for tonight´s activity.

We will be doing something simlar tomorrow, I will post more details tomorrow with updated addresess, exact numbers, etc.

I sent my guest out last night with a wing to the strip clubs.

They went to Fase, San Diego, and the three on 53rd.

He loved Fase, and said that it was well worth the money, got one for my friend (his wing), and laughed about all the stupid comments guys make about being expensive.
