I read with interest your "fun" in Thailand recently. I agree Pattaya and Bangkok are biased "friendly" towards the white man and Japanese guys. I have gone through some similar experiences of very unfriendly attitudes towards darker skinned visitors.

But bro, I have also had excellent experiences and service in Phuket, Hadyai, Dannok, Betong and Chiang Mai in Thailand. Beautiful girls and excellent service!!! Anyway that's just my comment to a fellow Indian (I am a Malaysian Indian).

In Malaysia I believe 90% of the Spas (where you get most of the WL's action in Malaysia) will accept Indians without any complaints (except Armada Hotel, PJ!!!). It would be quite difficult to pick up Malaysian chicks at Pubs though (equally difficult for any race Malaysians!!!).

You could also check out the Filipinas and Thai FL's in KL at pubs and discos in areas such as Concorde Hotel (Hard Rock), Thai Club and Beach Club (to name a few).

Karaokes are also another source of WL's but with a bigger investment (also quite friendly to Indians...they will send you only the girls who like darker guys...Indians etc).

Generally in Malaysia as long as you have the money to spend you should get what you are looking for without too much of a fuss.

Hi Bay Area Pundit; sorry to hear bout your exp in those area. That's why u should come to Malaysia/KL-we are equal opportunity mongers!! There are some hotels & pubs/drinking bars that are even Indian run, but are a friendly place to all. Try Ritz Garden Hotel in KL- its as Indian as it gets. Try a few pubs in Taman Tun or USJ/Subang Jaya-they are all friendly Indian pubs. In fact have a few drink and then start telling them you are an Indian living in Cal (with an American accent), the guys will wanna talk to you more and some chicks may even wanna get close!!!. Stay in Golden Triangle area (Bukit Bintang). The priod of stay is up to you. Everyday is a different experience here in KL.

As been said before, should be no prob for you in Malaysia. My advice if you have that much time to spend. DO take the trip over to Jakarta too. It is only a short flight a way but so much fun to have. I would recommend the combination.

Malaysia is a bit more covert, while Jakarta is more openly wild.

You will not have the same problems as you had in Thailand here in Malaysia from racial point of view. But as other ppl have suggested, you may consider going to Jakarta too, which also has less racial bias than Thailand. You will cover the scene in KL fairly quick, 3-5 days should be enough. If it's a business visit then of course you have no other choice than to stay here longer. But if it is mainly a holiday, I suggest you go to Jakarta as well. Kota Kinabalu is not too bad either for holiday. The scene in KL is very different from Thailand, and to generalise a bit you have 2 main choices as a short term visitor, either massage parlours or freelance bars such as Beach Club. If you are a first time visitor to Malaysia, you are definitely best off in KL rather than going to any other cities (except maybe KK).
