They are very scared about being fined and / or jailed.[/QUOTE]The difference is like night and day how Colombia has handled the situation thus far like quarantining in just six days and airport closings in 13 days where as other Countries took up to forty days, the liquor factory is manufacturing millions of liters of ethyl alcohol, the University of Antioquia along with another company has created a respirator that works based on testing which is going into production next week, along with all sorts of other things. And with your Chicas being afraid to come see you, just another example of how diligent the Colombian Government is being isolating and trying to stop the spread of the disease.

So much to be said for the US short of getting into a political shouting match with other members on this topic. I thought long and hard about staying, and maybe I should of stayed in Colombia versus leaving. But will time will tell, and hopefully I will be able to come back sometime by the end of the year but I'm not holding my breath.

You probably watched Duque's cabinet address tonight. They went over the rules again. The loophole is the girl has to be out to buy food or medicine. If stopped she just needs to say she is headed to pick up a cash loan to buy food or medicine. If she is alone and dressed modestly the police won't bother her. Give it a day or two, when the food and money really gets low I think you will find they become more adventurous.

I am also surprised by US lack of organization and absence of nationwide quarantine.

Things are different in Colombia. Quarantine is in effect. I am having a hard time convincing girls to visit me. They are scared of being fined and even jailed.

The police were only dispersing the night crawlers and leaving civilians alone. The D1 in the Nutibara was open and I saw a few people on Maracaibo with Exito bags so that was probably open too.

Anyway, I found a lady of my liking. She asked for 30 K, I countered 20 K and off we went. 15 K for the room (Boulevard Botero) and it was a very nice session. I gave her 30 because it is slim pickings for her and her friends today. I have a couple of dates from my phone book lined up tomorrow. Some independent, official sources for the rise in living expenses would be nice, as "more than doubled" over 15 years sounds rather drastic. The people in Medellin are the kindest and most dignified people I have ever met in my life. Most of the girls I know in Medellin have been through a tremendous amount of suffering, and yet they found reasons for enormous pride for who they are, where they live, and what they have endured. If I had it to do over I would have saved my money and time, it was wasted. Prices 50-100% higher than P. I. Mainly due to the lack of freelancers (selection was poor on Beach Rd. And way over priced, imo). Bar girls could not be separated from the obligatory bar fines. IMO only a dummy pays in advance for what he MIGHT or MIGHT NOT get, especially in places like that. If you're a drinker, prices of drinks at the bars is high and that's what they all want-for you to blow your money on drinks. Maybe because it is a tourist trap I found the Thais often to be rude and easily angered. Public transport is poor and taxis are way high. Baht buses don't go where you want often unless you over pay them and even then they cannot find the place often. Motorbikes are way to dangerous and also expensive compared to P. I. Transport. The women there do often have enhanced breasts unlike all the flat chested ladies in the P. I. Yeah you can have fun there but it's not worth it IMO. One thing they do have is superior convenience stores, well stocked with good selection-you don't have to eat at restaurants all the time. Judging from all the recent posts on Pattaya, many agree with my assessment and are not going there any longer. And we have had multiple posts from foreigners wanting info on the P. I. because they want to get out of Thailand.
