Make Medellin Great Again: Trip Report, March 2020
This first leg of my recent trip to Colombia was my third visit to Medellin; please see my separate posts for an overview of my whole trip (which I have already posted on the General Thread) and a more detailed report on Cali (which is forthcoming on the Cali thread). I planned and executed the Medellin leg of my trip differently from before in two key ways, both which yielded more favorable net results than my last trip and renewed my interest in Medellin. I now feel like I have experienced Medellin in the way that most other posters have described. I hope to come back once travel conditions return to some semblance of normalcy.
The first key change was to cut the cord from the sheltered environment of the Mansion, where I stayed on my two previous trips. I had limited myself to the Mansion for security and logistical reasons, the on-site talent pool, and intel sharing with other mongers. In retrospect, this self-imposed restriction was a huge hindrance, if only for the fact that the Mansion's finite number of rooms require one to book well in advance, whereas chica-friendly apartment rentals are generally available on shorter notice. Recent changes at the Mansion, including the separation of La Cueva bar from the hotel proper and the admission of outside guests into that bar for a cover charge, made it a less desirable lodging option for access to its on-site talent pool. The quality of accommodations at the Mansion are poor value for the money by local standards, including the reliability and speed of the Wi-Fi, which was critical to enable me to work remotely and thus avoid using vacation time. I also came to accept the limitations of intel sharing with other mongers and the unpredictability of many paisas, and I concluded that the online resources at my disposal (including this one) would be sufficient for my intel sharing purposes. More generally, I had been around Colombia enough, including two subsequent trips to the (in) famous Santa Fe red light district in Bogota, to feel confident enough branching out on my own in Medellin.
I decided to stay in a unit belonging to Poblado Rentals, a reputable and long-standing source of chica-friendly apartment rentals. Since this trip was my first time staying outside the Mansion, it made sense to be conservative and go with a well-known company catering to mongers, rather than some random AirBnB host. I also thought that it would make sense to stay in the familiar neighborhood of Poblado again, albeit in a different part of it. I stayed in one of their buildings close to Parque Poblado and within walking distance of Parque Lleras. I was happy with the unit and the staff and would be happy to stay in one of their units again. If nothing else, having an actual living room with a couch helped me to get to know the girls a bit before getting down to business, as I might have done at the Mansion, and the jacuzzi was useful too. Nonetheless, I might stay in Laureles on my next trip, if only for the sake of variety and in order to be in a location more convenient for the girls to reach me more easily. The gringo / hipster scene around Parque Lleras got old quickly, although I liked the Medellin Beer Factory.
The second key change was in the talent pool from which I drew. On my first trip, I sessioned almost exclusively with girls I met on-site at the Mansion. On my second trip, I focused on well-known Facebook girls, with a handful of girls that I met on-site at the Mansion as backups. I planned to branch out further on this trip to include well-known Facebook girls, Facebook girls on whom I had some intel from online resources, and Facebook girls on whom I had no intel at all from any source. I had long been skeptical of Internet pipelines and strongly preferred in-person venues, if only for the opportunity to vet the girls physically and socially, assess chemistry, and "kick the tires," so to speak. I only accepted Internet pipelines in Colombia reluctantly because I liked Colombians so much, and I still wanted reviews and intel from other mongers to compensate for the inability to check them out in person before they show up at my door. I finally came to accept that paisas are simply too unpredictable to let the presence or absence of intel on them have such a huge impact on my selections, and I felt that I was comfortable enough vetting them online myself to forego intel on them. More importantly, I found that it was often prohibitively difficult to schedule an appointment with any particular well-known girl at any one time. I just went with whichever one of my candidates was available when I had a free time slot, although I did give preference to the more reputable ones.
In retrospect, this revised approach was one of the soundest decisions I made and put me on a course to be even more accepting of the inherently unpredictable and chaotic nature of this hobby. Indeed, my worst session this week was with a very well-known Facebook girl with a very positive reputation, and many of my best sessions were with girls that had no previous track record that I could find in any online mongering resources. I have read many complaints here about so many mongers fucking the same small talent pool of the same well-known Facebook girls over and over again. I never saw that tendency as a problem until now, as I have discovered the virtue of finding my own talent, and I have come to accept that trying to predict the unpredictable is often self-defeating. I developed my own online vetting techniques, but I found that even those had their own limitations as well. One of the new girls in whom I had the highest hopes turned out to be a total flake, and one of the girls about whom I had some serious doubts turned out to be one of my best finds ever. Go figure.
Scheduling and timing turned out to be the biggest problem on this trip. I had my taste of the paisas' infamous tardiness on my last trip, when well-known Facebook girls might be as much as 30-45 minutes late for citas at the Mansion, but that was about as bad it as it got. Scheduling girls and getting them to show up on time – not late, and not early either – was a much bigger headache this time. The difference was so pronounced that there must have been a reason for it, and I wonder if it had anything to do with staying outside the Mansion or picking less-known or unknown girls. Ironically, though, my most egregious case, a girl who did not show up at all and did not even bother to try to explain herself until 48 hours later, was a girl that I had seen before and had a quite positive track record. I thought that repeats were supposed to be more reliable, but I guess not. My second-most egregious case was a girl who showed up more than three hours late on a Monday night, citing heavy traffic. In that three hours, I had already contacted one of my alternate girls, and she got to my apartment from the same barrio as my original choice within one hour of my request, fucked me, and left by the time that my original girl arrived. What I did not expect was that many girls were very early – not 5-10 minutes early, but 30-40 minutes early. I had heard of early arrivals before, but I had no idea that they would be both so early and so frequent. I thus made a point of showering and grooming myself 1 hour before the time of the cita, just in case the girl was as much as half an hour early.
I also learned the hard way that planning too far in advance, in the hopes of ensuring access to a particular girl, is often an exercise in futility. I found that the further in advance once schedules a cita, the less likely it is to happen as planned, as there are so many things that can happen in between the time that one schedules it and the time it is supposed to occur. In contrast, last-minute scheduling of a cita is most likely to succeed, as there are fewer obstacles that can crop up between the time that you schedule the cita and the time that the girl is supposed to arrive. The problem with this approach is that it often encourages one to write to multiple girls at once – so which one do you choose, if more than one of your prospects is available? The one that answers first? Or do you wait around for the one that you like more to write back – but if you do wait, for how long? Whichever one you choose, how do you explain to the other ones that you are actually busy now, after you just asked for an immediate cita half an hour ago? Do the girls even care if you come off as flaky, or do they consider that normal?
Now for the bottom line – on average, I would rate the girls' performance as higher than that of my selection of well-known Facebook girls on my last trip, albeit with more fluctuation and variation. On both of my previous stays at the Mansion, I found that the service was consistently at least satisfactory or OK; it was rare for a girl to distinguish herself or really knock it out of the park, but I never had any duds either. This time there were several girls that really distinguished themselves and knocked it out of the park, but there were also a few duds. I was comfortable with this trade-off, as I think it yielded better results overall. It may have also validated my decision to rely less on online intel from other mongers, as one of my duds was well-known and had a positive reputation, and some of my best performers were little known or totally unknown in my various online resources.
One area in which I have found Colombians are often weaker performers is blowjobs, which are probably more important to me than they are to many other mongers. Indeed, the weak or half-assed head game of many Colombians has been a significant factor in keeping me from returning to Colombia more frequently than I might have otherwise. On this Medellin leg of my trip, however, the weak or half-assed head game seemed to have disappeared; on average, the head game was much better than on my last trip, when I used reviews and intel from other mongers online to find the girls with the best head game. I fared much better this time just rolling the dice, but the difference was so pronounced that I have a hard time believing that it was a coincidence and not a product of some factors that I cannot identify. Perhaps the simple answer is that my revised approach yielded better performers and performances in general, including better head game, but the improvement in their head game was more pronounced than in other areas or overall. I am curious to hear anyone else's explanation.

1 The beauty of the girls working the streets in El Centro isn't all that great, however there are a few diamonds in the rough, but you have to spend a lot of time there to find them. A lot of guys want women with beautiful faces, that is their first criteria, so El Centro is not going to work for them. For guys like me, the women's bodies are more important followed by their facial features, but at the end of the day, their attitudes trump everything. Most guys wouldn't go with the girls I go with, not pretty enough, etc. I am not there to fuck their faces, but to be with girls that are totally into it. You mentioned 30 K girls in El Centro, just about every single one of them will go for 30 k, if not for less than that, especially the Venezuelans. But in my case, I pay my regulars between 40 -60 K, and that will be for a couple of hours, and I get the full "Monty" for that. For a guy showing up for a week, he will be hard pressed to develop a stable that quickly of regulars.
2. Spanish speaking skills a must or your going to have a difficult time. There are guys here that have declared it not necessary, but it is. I struggle myself at times with my Spanish, but it makes a huge difference.
3. Experience dealing with SW's, guys with not a lot of SW experience are going to go thru a learning curve. In other words, it's not like going to a Casa where the drill is pretty much set or a bar, etc. Your dealing with total freelancers and you need to learn how to interview them, at least I do, which takes Spanish speaking skills, and know "red flags" to look for when going with new girls.
4. It's sleazy and dirty in El Centro, some guys are not cut out for that.
I'm not trying to scare you off from El Centro, I am just trying to give you some things to consider. There are members on this board like myself who thrive on the place, where as others that stick with either FayBoo Chicas, casa's, or clubs.

The statement " just rolling the dice" or the luck of the draw. I don't think you can characterize Colombians as being weak performers of blowjobs versus others providers in other Countries. Of all the Countries I have been too I cannot make a distinction that one Country's women are better at giving head than others. Interesting question on your part as I have never seen someone ask a question like this. It will be interesting to hear others take on this.

Many mongers avoid Centro because 1. They are afraid of the environment. 2. They try and justify the over spending on girls that they think are worth it. Honestly, sex is sex, I have had more friends catch a bug in Poblado than my friends in Centro. But have at it, make yourself believe that the girls who dress up and put on lipstick are cleaner and more wholesome than the girls in Centro. Only difference truly is the amount that you are willing to pay them in Poblado. Pollo Negro is out!
