Anyway, I didn't feel particularly threatened or unsafe. If you are OK with rough areas of us cities, you should be OK. Have situational awareness, don't be inebriated, don't carry stuff you don't care to lose, and don't be conspicuous. Common sense stuff.

Some earlier posts had mentioned a bridge near the church. I couldn't find it, but there is a sort of street, with glass top, and you can see pipes and things below it, and you can walk on it. Is that what is referred to as the bridge?

I went into the shopping center across the church, and had meal in a small Restaurant for 10 mil, browsed the stores. Then wandered aimlessly around the area checking out the stores and street vendors, till got tired, and then left.

Hope this information is helpful to someone who might want to check or get into the centro scene.
