Sometimes I wonder if the online girls are worth the hassle. Well, nice to have such troubles. Have you done this before? Well, I'm certainly no expert, but....here's what I've learned.

My experience is they will almost always show up with one or more chaperones. Often one of the chaperones looks better than the original target. Getting laid the first night is probably about 20% or less...depending on how charming you are and how naughty the chaperones might be. One lady showed up with an older chaperone -- a single mom. She slept in the next bed while I banged her friend. :-) Months later, we crossed paths in the chat rooms and she (the chaperone) told me how much SHE wanted to meet me.

Often they will invite you to their homes...where they'll show you off to they're friends and family. If you do this, your chances go up considerably -- but at a later time obviously. Depends on how much time you want to invest. Even if things don't pan out, these trips to local areas can be quite interesting.

You want to weed out the virgins and innocents right away. I do that by mentioning the beach. Then joke with them , "Please send me a bikini picture." If they seem offended....that's a bad sign. Of course, if she already has a child, you can be pretty sure she'll put out.

Generally, I play the nice guy, but lay down some hints as I have described above. Like you, I prefer to be honest. I say something like, "I'm just looking for friends, but if something clicks...."

And my favorite "joke" is copyright protected so you owe me a beer every time you use it. "Please don't send me any nudes, I'm shy."

BTW, I found that CB tends to have a lot of Mindanao ladies. How's FilH? Many at CB definitely seem be wary of guys coming over for fun, but not a committment. Too bad.

And GE, I'd like a copy of that list too if you get it compiled.

Guys,

My suggestion regarding the online chicks is to let them know you'll be in a nearby area (perhaps a neighboring town) and see if they are willing to travel to meet you. I think it is much less likely that you will have problems if it is clear to them that they will be expected to travel to the location where you are staying and spend the night. It would be easier to duck out before the evening is over if you were in the same town where she lived.

They won't always have the money to travel far, but perhaps you can arrange your stay so that you will be within a short bus ride and yet get them out of their environs.

Full tilt has some good advice about getting them out of their "environs". I've never made any special effort to travel to their place for the FIRST meeting, although I've had many ask me if I wanted to go back to their place shortly after the first meeting. By "back to their place" I mean they wanted me to meet their firends and family.

Having them come to you is fine, but like I said already....they'll usually show up with chaperone(s). Show the chaperone what a nice guy you are....that's one way to get off on the right foot.

CA Traveler - I have had quite a few who asked for money - what I do is to turn around and tell them to send me nude pics, that will end it right then and there. There was one who sent me pics from a magazine (of a white girl) and claimed it was her. It was kind of funny actually. I also don't chat or e-mail anyone who don't send me her pics...So, I hope that will weed out the 50 y.o. imposters.

I think I would prefer to have them bring female cheperone instead of male ones. One has asked me if she could bring her brother with her. I'm kind of scratching my head - don't these guys and gals have any clue what we're after? What's the point of bringing a cheperone if you know that you're gonna have to put out eventually (hopefully sooner than later). And the male chaperone, if they have half a brain, they'll know what we're after, right? So, being a chaperone is almost like being a pimp, but in a nice way. Sorry if I offend anyone with my comments/thoughts. May be I'm missing some cultural stuff here.

When I first visited PI many years ago I seem to remember taking a woman to a movie had sexual connotations. I guess it's dark inside and the Fil boys would get a feel. Is this still true? Has anyone heard anything like this before. I bring it up because you might ask a girl out to a movie...if she's willing, you're on first base.

I've attached a picture taken on the moutain above Cebu city. Online friend and two chaperones....OOPS, maybe not. Apparently I've already uploaded this picture in the Cebu file and WSG won't let me upload it again.

d69... you'd better be thankful that she didn't want to bring her dad along! So far, I have had much better results writing the Fil girls than I have writing the Russian/Ukrainian girls. So far, no one has suggested bringing along a chaperone. Although most have asked me to send money for their travel to Cebu.

However, from what I read, I am a little worried that it may be very hard to get rid of one of these girls once you've actually hooked up with her. This can happen in Russia, but it is a pretty common practice to balance out your first dates with a second date later in the evening where you are virtually assured that before the night is over you will have had a chance to lose your PBF... Precious Bodily Fluids... If that fails there are still several other options that are available for most of the night to relieve the symptoms of the late-night blue balls... I hate when that happens!

So, I continue pounding out responses to the Fil girls, not really knowing if I would be better off just waiting until I arrive and then head out prospecting on my own anyway... I guess time will tell which is the best approach.

Right now, I am on my way to Odessa in the Ukraine to study Russian in the day and party at the beach bars all night... Should be an interesting month!

Don't worry... you will be able to read all about Odessa in July/August and Cebu and Thailand in September with photos with any luck!

I am always more encouraged when they want to bring a sister or a cousin, but one actually mentioned bringing sister AND brother when I mentioned going to a resort. Why pass up a goo ddeal when someone is picking up the bill. You can guess my response to that request. At least with a sister or a female cousin, there's always a possibility of scoring both the subject and her chaperone - nothing better than a good tag team :-)

As for whether all the effort is worth it, I guess you will have to let us know at the end of your trip. I guess the primate in us still live for the hunt!
