Any reasons why in Carnival time, lack of customers, when I thought they had to be much more busy ?

It is a lack of cumstomers only at luomo or in every termas ?

I´ve been here in Rio for about a week now, I´ll be parading with Beija-Flor tomorrow(sunday) at sambodromo. I speak portuguese and dance samba as well. I´ve been so busy with regular beautiful non-pros I haven´t had too much time for mongering.

I´m american and I too am tired of hearing this same old BS. There are alot of toursits (European and American)here who beleive that because they know many locations to go mongering feel themselves to be psuedo-brasileiros because they have been coming here for quite some time and feel at home.

I´m happy for them that they feel at home, however there is quite a difference here in Rio between estranjeiros(foreigners) being tolerated and being accepted as a brasileiro.

If after many trips you still cannot carry on a fluid conversation in portuguese and you can´t really dance Samba no Pe ,you are being tolerated.

I get referred to as a brasileiro everyday without fail and to me it is one of the highest compliment I can think of.

All this ethnocentric one-upman-ship talk is just idle chatter without the aforementioned capabilities...

As I see it don't bother about this people, I can aggre with you that some behave quit bad. And another thing what is that makes its so "cool" being taken for a "brasileiro" many here talk about it like it was something very special. Why not just be yourself and act as you do home, I mean to be friendly and polite works in all country and I have spent some years in different countrys, from China to Brasil and those between.

I have lived/worked here in Rio for 5 month until now and I have a couple of friends here that are brasilians and even dated a girl for a while (non pro). All this by just being my self, can you imagen.

So as I see it its nothing bad by just come here for relaxing, party and do some girls, and be polite to people.

I was in Monte Carlo tonight to see a favorite of mine and some of the L'uomo girls are now working there. As I was leaving I spied a super hot blond and just had time to say hello. I am thinking of returning a little later tonight just to check her out (she was that hot). They were starting to get busy as I was leaving but still nothing like in years past.

I think there will be a little increase in business after Carnaval when air fares and lodging go down in price, but after that, I think Rio is going to be hurting. The tourists I am seeing are mostly from other SA countries. I talked with a girl today who just got in from Lima and she said her fare was only $250.

Can someone in Rio post going rates on the main 4 termas. Room/girl and entrance fee. 4x4, centsuckass (which I don't go), solarium, and montecralo. No need to break it down. Just total up the 3 costs.

They are at Help. Last night in front of Help was packed with as many (or more) guys than girls. Outside of Help it seemed most guys were just hanging. Girls did not seem to be asking outrageous prices. I was quoted R$150 - R250 without any bargaining. In the termas, I have encountered a lot of first timers and at MC there must have been 10 guys who were brought in by a street tout for a tour.

In front of Help (I did not go inside) there were a lot of guys who visit Rio often. A few termas girls showed up, decided not to pay the R$60 entrance, and left. Unfortunately, I saw very few girls with fantasy outfits entering.

My best guess would be that "NOG" stands for "Nogeira"(?), a restaurant across the street from Barbarella.

Here is HELP Juliana I first meet her back in July 2004 at MP I recall at the time she said she didn't like HELP now she is a fixture but didn't anyone else know she was almost famous?

I remember juliana. She has been in help a long time. She is the one that stands there like a lump and never really says anything. Not much of a personality. I never took her.
