Am thinking of taking a Superferry MLA to Cebu. Prices seem excellent for a 'suite' - 2 pax for less than $100 incl meals. Anyone had experience with this form of travel? Thanks.

Time is also money you can get a round trip flight from Manila to Cebu for about 120 usd with cebu air if you book ahead online, why waste all that time on a ferry it take over 18 hr unless you have alot of time, ferry is for poor pinoy that have no money with alot of time.

For an extra $50 you can get there quicker and save loads of time. Besides I been on ferry once and it was super crowded and took forever to get to Cebu. Extra $50 to fly is well worth it.
Actually the price for Manila to Cebu is about 3300 pesos or about $65.00 RT. They have been running an ongoing promo for 568 pesos. Add tax and comes to roughly 1600 pesos each way.
Fast Eddie, you didn't answer his question. Try to pay attention.
I've never tried this, but been thinking about it.
This option would mean you wouldn't pay one night for a hotel room, so it seems like an interesting, and reasonably priced diversion for someone who may have some extra time.
I think it would be more interesting to go alone and then invite someone from steerage up for a look at something more comfortable. I wonder how that would play out with the staff?
Is the room strictly for two? If you have to pay for two, I guess they shouldn't complain if you upgrade one of the steerage passengers.
BTW, I've ridden some of the Med's best minstrals, and never got seasick. I suppose that is another consideration. If you love the sea, but the sea don't love you....take a plane.
Just planing my first trip to Manila and AC for 7 nights, (oct) 4 night in Manila and 3 in AC, or maybe 3 nights in Manila and 4 nights in AC. Is there is anything to do and see in daytime, beside the nightlife? (photo opportunity)
Any advice please?
You know I always see this same question what is there to do in ac durring the day. Well if you end up going to bed at around 2-3pm you sleep most of the day and get up around 1-2pm, have some breakfast and before you know it its almost time to start hitting the bars again early evening!
If you score early then kick her out after the morning fuck, then I usually go and play billiards I love the game, or go to sm mall, or swim at the hotel pool and generally chill out with the other guests as we go through each others conquests from the night before.
Thanks for your input guys. Completely agree that flying is much quicker and probably cheaper. Although I don't have alot of time I'm interested in the experience of the journey.
I'm thinking of Stateroom or Suite style accommodation, rather than tourist class where I agree with Fast Eddy that it may be crowded and uncomfortable. Stateroom/suites have their own facilities, queen size bed, ref, tv, etc, etc - www.wgasuperferry.com.ph. These ships even have discos, bars, pools.
X Man - website says room prices are for 2. I was thinking of taking a girl from somewhere like G-Point, but might try your suggestion. I'll stock up on sickness tabs!
I'm looking at early/mid-August, so will report back. Thanks.
Wow, A hole. Either you wake up before you go to sleep or you sleep for 20+ hours.
Rent a car and go out to the mountains. You can hike, take pictures, etc. I haven't done it, but I know you can.
I rented a tricycle, me and two ladies, and rode out to a shrine / cave above the "lahar" river. There was a shrine for the Japanese there, as well as a Christian site. I think this is in the direction of Dau. If I didn it again, I wouldn't take a tricycle.

I meant, go to bed at 2-3 (am) not (pm)!
Hi all,
I'll be in Manila in late July for a few days if anyone would like to meet up.
I will be in Ac during this period if anyone would like to hook up for a beer and discuss "shooting fish in a barrel!"

No, don't apologize for choosing a different way, just do a report on it. I was going to do that last year, but I had to "see a guy about a girl" and my plans changed..
