When I was there last summer, it was hit and miss. One of the newsletters shortly thereafter mentioned upgrades to their water system. Maybe they finally got a handle on it.
Even still, I don't think the water pressure is good enough to fill the Jacuzzi in a decent amount of time.

The marble bath floor get dangerously slippery, and the jacuzzi is essentially a bathtub with jets. Not really much space.
The bathroom has an open skylight, giving an atrium affect, so the door is best kept closed if you like air conditioning.
Okay, I suppose, if you don't have high expectations.

2nd trip to DR in 8 years, expert in Asia (lived there for 10 years and still go 2 to 3 time a year), Tijuana (30 +) and Costa Rica (15+).

Average day at black beards, how many girls?[/QUOTE]In my vast experience (10 trips to BB's so far) about $250 per day there will get you a decent room, 3 chicas per day, 2-3 good meals, I usually just have a huge breakfast and dinner skipping lunch, liver disease drinking, a couple of decent cigars, one of their vitamin V's or C sold at the front desk and a few clinkers for tips. A 10% tip is already included on all bar or meal bills. Obviously this amount doesn't include your flight. The budget minded can get by on $200/ day with just 2 chicas, average room, modest booze consumption. Side trips to Sosua or FOD, etc not included in calculation. FOD is a dump BTW. Here's a few pics from trips past.

Second, $250 a day is a really good estimate. If I stay between $200-$250, I feel like I'm fully enjoying my trip, but not burning my money too extravagantly.
Has BB been sold? Just read it is on the marked. I don't think BB is for me but this trip but not sure jet. As I have not read anything about an owner change I'm not sure if there are any changes in regards to this.

What is the process for selecting the girls? Do they all congregate in the same area? Do you go up to them and say let's go to my room, or are you expected to wine and dine first? I'm going for quantity, so not looking to spend much quality time chatting. Is it possible to schedule appointments through the mamasan?
I've been eying one girl that's been in several of the recent newsletters. She's skinny, young looking girl with long hair and a distinctive beauty mark above her lip. Any intel available on her?

As you walk into the complex, straight to the back to check-in, they will be watching the "fresh meat" arrive.
Once you're checked in, settled in, showered, maybe napped, you'll go down to the main area, the bar / restaurant.
The girls will be scattered around the bar / restaurant, pool area, lobby.
Basically, just pick one you like, give her a little eye contact, and you're off and running.
Would suggest a little time to get acquainted first; it improves the chances of developing some chemistry / rapport.
Practice your Spanish (or learn some). Treat her as you would your date, not a "worthless ho" and it pays off.
Treat them badly, and you will get the minimum required. And they share information on the clientele.
Treat them like nicely, respectfully, and they appreciate it. If you want a GFE, treat her like "your girl. ".
Buy her a beer or whatever if you choose to do so; but its not required. But hell, offer. No need to pinch pennies, but don't be stupid, either.
If you want anything in particular, its best to discuss it before you go up to your room. Avoid misunderstandings that way.
If there are any that have your attention from the newsletter, I suggest printing out their photos, and ask for them once you arrive.
There should be a "manager" or "mama-san" for the girls, to assist you. Show her the pic and ask. Often, they can call a girl to come in if she doesn't happen to be be there that day.

If you see one you like and don't see her, you can ask the mamasan, & she will tell you if or when she is available or can call her in. No worries about picking up girls at BB, they will find you. They're always up for fresh meat. Don't let them con you into happy hour (2 girls at twice the price), unless you want to.
This book does not contain all available chicas. Some chicas have old (1-3 years) photos in the book, sometimes it's hard to recognize chica from the book in real life. Newsletter will give you recent looks.

Since you sound new to this, on the subject of Happy Hours (3-somes) it is a good place to try one, if you haven't yet.
On my first visit to BB, my very first "date" was a Happy Hour.
To maximize your experience, talk to the "mama-san" and ask about which ones are bisexual.
If you find one that appeals to you, ask her to recommend a second girl.
This way, you are sure of two girls that have good chemistry between them, not an awkward one, where one chick is uncomfortable, or doesn't like the other girl.
This way, they will be a lot more enthusiastic, and you get a better time.
Negotiate everything in advance. Of course, you ARE paying for two girls, but I would also say you get a session that's twice as long.

Enjoy.[/QUOTE]Never liked the Happy Hour thing. First you only really get one shot. At least that's what the girls think. So you need to make perfectly clear that you expect 2 x since you pay 2 x. Makes sense.
Mostly you have one girl who leads and the other sits back. I usually start of in the Jacuzzi when I am not sure and go for a test drive. If you don't take a girl after the Jacuzzi you still have to pay her (and you should) but at least you get a good feel for what she would be like in the bed room.
