Lima

These past few weeks have been filled with several outing's to Tequila's,Cucardas and both R&V's as well as the luncheon this afternoon. Lot's of useful info being shared (names & #'s) ripoff's seem to be on the rise (better going with the tried and true) some new faces have been showing up to the daily briefings and a few guys are about to add two new twists to the Lima scene! Even though it is cold as hell "Lima is heating up".

Tuesday is (Bartini) Wed & Thur(Mama Battata) weekend (Gotica and Aura) You will like Gotica if you are into the rave scene. Sunday is still crazy at Tequilas (La Marina) and Wed Etheria has the crowd you are looking for. Monday is hopeless in Lima with the exception of La Noche in Barranco. (Better off taking a date to the 1/2 price show in the cine bar in Larco Mar.Alot of other bars have been shut down or are not popular right now. The young gringo crowd also parties at "OSO" on Recarraven and "Dragone" in Barranco, but these are not upscale by any means. Definetely "hook up" with the 20's crowd at Cafe Z when you get into town to see whats hot at the moment.

The $100-$150 clock for two hours does not start until you actually are in the bed. In the meantime you can go to a club or dinner or concert and enjoy their company. I am not recommending anyone, just saying this is the case with most girls from high end clubs.

This is also true with some of the girls from "Tequilas" I might add. Arrangements with them can be made for a "date" first and then stay all night for $80-$100.00. A few guys have LT relationships (week or month) at a discount to these prices.

Keep in mind, Average girls make between $2000-$3000 a month, Emmanuelle and Suites girls $3000-$4000. Girls that travel can get $3000-$4000 a week and there are rumors of oriental guy's taking multiple girls out of Suites at $1,000.00 per girl.

That's surprising, Peruvian high end hookers would be doing a lot better than their hermanas in any of the Latin countries except Mexico. Couple weeks ago, I went to Lima, I had one chance to have some fun, So the same night I arrived I went to the Tequila Rock, it was 1:30 am, and I had to be up by 6 am, so I had to go in and out in 20 minutes, and I did, I approach this Peruvian chick (I speak Spanish, since I am from Peru, but I left 20 year ago), she said she was from Colombia, but my ass, that she was from Colombia. So I went straight to the point, after 2 minutes of introduction, she said 300 soles, I said no, 250 I said no, and finally 200 soles, left the place and we took a taxi to an apartment I had rented in miraflores, for 35 dollars a night. Got to the apartment, I ask her to take a shower, she did, and then we started, I made the mistake to take a full blue magic pill. 3 am and we were still doing it, it was so late, that I told her to leave, cause I had to be up in 3 hours, I could not finish, I was so freaking upset. She was good, nothing spectacularly, was very decent, she look better in cloth than without them, big tits (my thing). I give her a 6 but Tequila Rock gets a 10 out 10, the selection was amazing and plenty, all types, ages, sizes.

No pictures, she would not allow me, too bad.

Things seem OK here in my part of Miraflores but I am very worried about friends living in Centro and other areas of Lima. The local news reports it was 7.9, 48 deaths and 350 injured. I can only understand about half of the spanish but the pictures of collapsed buildings, etc. scares the shit out of me when I think of my friends living in those areas.


I've only been able to hear from one of my amigas who lives on the other side of Lima and she is OK. The cell service is still screwed up and I can not get thru to other friends that I'm worried about.


About 7 my apartment started the shimies, I had just sat down at the computer and set a cup of coffee on the table. Being born and raised in California it did not get my attention until the coffee started to splash out of the cup and I could hear things falling and breaking in the apts around me.

So... I decided it might be smart to get out and walked down (11 floors) to the street. Pieces of plaster in the stairway and the overhead lights on 2 levels were out (the fixtures were torn an inch away from the ceiling).

Traffic was stopped and a lot of people milling in the street. I saw no real damage and the buildings all looked OK. I'm sure there is a lot of minor damage and maybe worse in other neighborhoods.

A lot of the locals were really upset - they were talking about this one being stronger than one in 1974 that was a record.

While standing in the street with all the locals I met a chica who had been on the bus. She said when the windows on the bus started to shake and rattle everyone got off! Everyone was trying to call family of friends on their cell so of course the circuits were busy and nobody could get through. When things calmed down I brought the chica up to my apt (elevator was jammed and had to walk back up) to see if we could call her mom on Skype. I got thru to my mom in San Diego but no luck trying local calls in Lima.

Then we got a aftershock and she wanted DOWN and back on the street. So, back down 11 floors and mill around with a bunch of other people who did not want to go back into the buildings.

We walked over to Z and I saw Manuel who was cruising around on a bicycle checking on friends. Alabama, Eli and Lima Busy and Mrs. Busy were at Z.

I put my new friend in a taxi to San Borja to check on her mother and here I am back in my apt. No real damage inside just a few things on the floor and small pieces of plaster on the floor in some areas. My new friend from San Borja was able to call and her house was OK except for things that fell and broke but her mother is not there and she does not know where she is.

I'm in a 15 story building. The building took this real well and swayed back and forth California style. There are horizontal cracks and broken plaster approx. 6" to 18" wide at floor level of all floors. I can look up and down the open area in the middle of the building and it looks like every floor slide around a bit on top of the floor below but I'm sure (I hope!) it was just a bit of flexing. I'll take some pics tomorrow.

OOOps, another aftershock! minor but the 3rd one that I've felt in the last 15 or 20 minutes.

My thanks to all who have expressed concern and I'll report again tomorrow after I've checked out my friends and looked around the area a bit.

I spoke with a bunch of people tonight and know about LB, ScrewedUp, xxxGoat and Alabama. Shaken, not stirred and all OK. D33 is only one I do not know about. Some housing damage in Miraflores. Central and Northern Lima may have been worse hit than Southern Lima (werid) but they are newer buildings. It has now been classed as a 7.9! Watch for the aftershocks! (All the schools will be closed on Thursday.)

Historical note: In 1970, one of the world's deadliest earthquakes killed an estimated 50,000 Peruvians in catastrophic avalanches of ice and mud that buried the [b]city[/b] of Yungay.

goat - the (mobile) text service is ok and not as congested as the other circuits. suggest you do that to make contact.

also, for those overseas, do not speed dial. do the full number entry and you will probably get through.

For your kind words and especially Polvo for your kind offer. Sitting in Zeta now and the aftershocks are rolling thru every few minutes about 300 so far. 337 dead so far is the last official number but we expect it to be alot higher when they get thru the rubble.

The earthquake hit at 6:40 pm, interestingly enough, I was scheduled to go to a seminar at the S.A.E. at 7 pm on earthquake preparedness!
