Lot of Madurese in Dolly, Surabaya. Never heard of anyone going to Madura itself but I guess guys do ..

I'm not trying to be smarty bro, but empot empot ayam refers to the ability of the Madurese (and also Sundanese women) to contract the muscles in their vagina so it feel's like they are milking your penis.

Menteng, thanks for the clarification ... actually it is my understanding that Empot Ayam refers to the womens ability to "milk the penis". Empot Empot Ayam is the jamu that theoretically enhances that ability. No one including myself , with the exception of the Jamu makers would suggest that any of these jamu's do as they are claimed... but to pick up on your point about drying the vagina, many Indonesian men prefer a drier snatch so the myths about certain fruits is certainly alive and well. But woman whom seriously want to dry it up tend to buy the "Madura Roll" or Tongkat Madura, a chalk type substance shaped like a cigar to be inserted.

I've been here a good long while now and it's my experience that the fishbowl is rarely found in Indonesia beyond establishments which cater largely to foreigners.

Much more common is the photo album full of soft-focus images of carefully made-up heifers in poses designed to minimise podgy bodies.

As to "penampungan" I can't comment on its meaning in the central javanese dialect used in Solo, but I somehow doubt you will get what you are looking for if you use it elsewhere in Indonesia.

In my experience it's used to describe a tank to collect rainwater, or a place where people are shifted to and housed temporarily because of a flood or earthquake.

But give it a go, never know your luck in Indonesia!
