Had 12 days here recently. Second trip here for me. This time was much better. Last trip was pre covid. A good tip for punters going here – download the Discord app. Doesn't work on apple devices – only android / google. Apple has some content restriction nonsense so annoyingly I couldn't open the app after downloading it onto my ipad. So had to use a windows PC – but the info is excellent and even shows photos of the current line up of girls working in each agogo / club / bar / gentleman's clubs. The guys on there also share great info of all sorts of things not just girls but on restaurants / taxis – literally everything. So to Trev who runs Discord – if you are reading this – thank you for your brilliant videos and informative app which really helped me and should be used for anyone going to Pattay. Tree Town.

For me the best area overall. Lively, lots going on. Some great beer bars with fabulous live music.

One or two good karaoke bars if that's your thing. Tried Escape (set up by the Buzzin Pattaya crew) but didn't much like it. It tries to be a bit of everything and I'm not sure it works. Tree Town has the usual large offering of massage parlours and I tried several which were excellent and good value.

Several ladyboy bars. Not my bag but to each their own and I was definitely fooled several times. I learned this trip that the ladyboys are not at all offended if you ask outright if they are a ladyboy. But I did proposition girls on two occasions who I would never have believed were ladyboys – stunning, fabulous thin bodies and without the tell-tale signs of large hands / Adam's apple / low voice. Each time they whispered in my ear that they were LBs and I politely declined.

Soi 6 hasn't changed at all in my view from several years ago. It still buzzes with hundreds of girls, many of them great options from mid afternoon until late. I had several sessions having just literally picked a girl from her looks on the street, straight inside, drink for her and me and off to the room upstairs. All good sessions. Prices were 1000 baht for the girl and 400 or sometimes 500 for the room. I didn't haggle. These prices compared to mongering in other parts of the world are unbelievably cheap. I try to respect that paying over the top increases the price for locals, so I did reject a couple of girls who tried it on with requests for 1500 bhat – and stayed firm on "I will go to the room right now if we agree 1000 baht but that's the price". On each such occasion the girl immediately conceded and off we went. On two occasions I gave a 250 baht tip after the event for great service.

Soi 7 is more relaxed that Soi 6 with some good options. A number of beer / pool bars, one in the middle of the street (Chor Leera) with a stunning little girl called Bee – she has a tattoo of her name on her arm. I insisted upon seeing her ID before I took her as she looks very young – but to my surprise she is 19. Body to die for but her service is "inexperienced" and I didn't repeat.

Decided out of no more than curiosity to visit The Castle – third road, almost on its own, which is a fetish club. You knock on the door and a pretty girl appears at the hatch to tell you it is 1000 baht just to enter – which will buy you one drink! Wow – expensive. So first time I politely declined and jumped on a bike back to Soi Lenkee – which also has some decent options. But my curiosity got the better of me and the next night I returned waving a 1000 baht note as the hatch was opened. You go inside to be greeted by about 10 girls all in sexy lingerie and you meet the Mistress – tall blonde Thai lady who is clearly not to be messed with. You get your drink and they position you on a seat for the start of the immediate personal show! Had not realised that was included in the price. They start tying a young pretty naked girl up in ropes and there are whips, canes, paddles and all sorts of equipment close by. Clearly inexperienced in the genre I tried to protest "please don't hurt that girl for me – I only wanted to come to see what this was all about". Not a good idea! Blonde Mistress orders all of the girls to their knees – by now 6 of them are topless. She turns to me and says "You are in my club. I am in charge now. Don't interrupt – just watch. " I lamely try to say this was meant to just be a bit of fun for me and can't we just have a drink and she howls laughing. 4 slaves are chosen by Mistress to remain kneeling but bend putting their asses in the air. She blasts out verbal orders and they all in unison scream "yes mistress". Whilst I was enjoying the sight of the four naked butts in front of me, I really wanted to halt the performance but realised that was not going to happen. Mistress proceeds to whip the asses of the four kneeling slaves and the breasts of the one tied up in ropes. Happily for me, she is pretty tame and it is clear this performance is not going to involve the girls suffering much pain. I was relieved at that, and when it was over.

I then got the guided tour of the place. There is every kind of implement, restraint, etc you can imagine. We get to the back of the club and to my surprise there is a naked guy tied up on a bench with his ass in the air. He was there all along without me noticing. As we approach the area where he was I tried to stop my host (the Mistress) saying I didn't want to intrude. Clearly not understanding the psyche of all of this she tells me he would not want me to miss out. She barks at him to request pain. He duly obliges and she selects a long bendy bamboo cane and must have cracked his ass with it no less than 20 times (I didn't count). Unlike with her female slaves there was no lack of effort this time and his ass was a mass of stripes quickly. I dared not attempt to intervene – she was not someone to pick an argument with – and in any event he appeared to be enjoying it!

Mistress takes to the bar, offers me another drink and asks whether I am sub or dom but suspects I am sub because I didn't want her slaves to be hurt. I know enough to know what this means but tell her that I really am not all that bothered about it and just was curious. This is clearly a disappointment to her. I think she quite fancied another bound guy to beat. She tells me that she thinks I would be more comfortable coming to the party on a Friday night. 1500 entry instead of 1000 but as many drinks as I want all night for free (not a bad deal) and shows every 30 minutes. She explains there will be at least 4 mistresses and one male Master. Wonderful (not! She said the club was busy with a lot of people – men and women on Fridays. I lied to her that this sounded a lot better for me as I would prefer to watch, and that I'll be back on Friday. I had no intention of returning but thought this was a polite way out until she asks me for a 500 deposit! I tell her that alas I need to check with pals if they will come to before I commit and I left. All very interesting and if domination / submission is your thing this is a very professional place where they are experts.

Back to the "normal" world. My main objective on this trip was to sample the Gentleman's clubs. I did a lot of research on them all from several of the excellent YouTube channels about them.

I won't report on every one of them – it would take a long time. But I tried M Club, Babylon, High Rollers, Maggie Mays, Camel Toe, Den, Purple Bar, The Cave and I suspect others I cannot remember. Without being unkind to any of them (I found Maggie Mays for example to be far too small), there is an absolute stand out club – High Rollers. It is slightly more expensive (drinks) than the other clubs but it was fabulous. You enter to gold pillars and surroundings – all very over the top but the quality of the girls in this place was, for me, better than in any of its rivals and moreover, better than most of the agogos on Walking Street. Two great pool tables – one downstairs the other upstairs, staff are mega friendly (though that was true everywhere). Some of the girls in HRs are 9's and 10/10's. Fom – stunningly beautiful with a knockout body – at only 1000 baht for upstairs and 500 for the room, she was too good to resist and I had several excellent sessions with her. But then I did so with a lot of girls in there. Highlight of my trip was my last visit – arrived early afternoon and had no less than 8 rooms before I left that night – one threesome and my final room with my favourite 4 ladies (a first for me). I am too old to be popping more than once or twice a day but that didn't matter to me and I had sufficiently recovered from my afternoon pop to enjoy my final group session – not cheap but my farewell to Pattaya this trip in easily my favourite bar / gentleman's club.

Walking Street – not a lot has changed. Tried several of the agogo bars, some pretty girls. Actually did not consider (as has been reported) that Pin Up had the best talent. For me, one girl in Palace stood out and I BFd her. But as others have reported, I didn't like that a lot of people walk along WS with phones lifted up videoing all that was going on. I restricted myself to two visits mainly because I much preferred LK Metro and Tree Town or Buakhao / Pothole and even Lenkee.

Tried all three of the Honey soapies. For me, best of the three is Honey 2 which is North Pattaya next door to Siam hotel and not far from Terminal 21 mall. Great choices though far more expensive than in the above venues. Pricing system in colours. Red tag girls cheapest (from memory 2000 baht) up to the black tags (4000). So x4 prices of the other bars etc but still a great experience and I actually returned twice for Blue tag M155 who looked like Kim Kardashian without the huge butt and was truly 10/10 service.

Another fabulous trip to Pattaya. Whilst it is run down in many parts, and the beach is not that great, the options for mongering are truly unrivalled across the globe. Dubai is fantastic but x10 more expensive. On a value for money basis Pattaya is fantastic. I loved the Gentleman's clubs far more than I expected. Many reports say the girls are older and not so attractive so that when a really pretty girl stops getting picked in the agogos they move on to the gents clubs. That was not my experience at all. Maggie Mays and Camel Toe did have older and less pretty girls, but I found really pretty young girls in most of the clubs and High Rollers particularly so. The soapies are really good – not as good as the opulent ones in Bangkok but still good. The areas around LK Metro and Tree Town are great for a night out. For food, and live music try Malibrew – food was incredible and the artists very talented. Excellent. A bit out of it up in North Pattaya again but worth the inexpensive cab there and back into town. Or the Don Pepe Spanish tapas in town.

In Aug I walked up and down Soi 6 about 5 time,. Couldn't even spot a 5.

At mrInternational I 100% agree with you. I did 3 months remote working and booked to come back in 2 weeks but might swerve Pattaya. It's too cutthroat and pressure cooker for me now. Cleaners and bouncers even ask for drinks. What have you been using for the semi pro scene? I did ok with Thai friendly.

Pattaya has always had too many bars. But 10 years ago, the rents were lower. Today higher rents and fewer customers have killed all those little places run by older falangs as a hobby. They know very well that Pattaya is less of a punter playground now. It's teetering on the brink of becoming a place where the girls tease but don't deliver. Guys who seek out play-for-pay are acutely sensitive to this, because every single one has paid good money for a bad experience, or even worse gotten ripped off. The moment they perceive Pattaya venues as clip joints, they will abandon that destination most ricky-tick.

GO GO CLUBS ARE POOR VALUE FOR MONEY: "We are talking about prices that are starting to match Europe. You are going to be paying through the nose or waste time hunting for that gem that pops up from time to time -- 8 k-10 k all up. Add the hotel cost, food, flights and other expenses. If the go go clubs were full of women that could match any half decent FKK, Spanish bordello or Brazilian club I would say fine. But it's not at that level."

Over the past 36 months I've read dozens upon dozens of reports to this effect. I think it's fair to say this is the consensus view. For me, the most worrisome finding is that hot girls are not available at any price. The Naughty Boy planning a holiday can't help but be concerned, especially if lives far from Thailand.

GREEDY BAR OWNERS PRIORITIZE ALCOHOL SALES OVER EVERYTHING ELSE: "The pressure to sell drinks in some venues is fucking insane and it puts you off going into these venues. Its relentless, to the point where cleaning staff are hammering you. I know the owners need to start turning a buck, but this is not the way. I have not been back to walking street in two weeks, and even LK Metro it is out of control with it."

The bars sell two things: Alcohol and "companionship. " So long as the girls remain back in the village, it's the equivalent of all those Chinese factories closed by COVID, or those container ships anchored near harbors full of goods that aren't on store shelves. So the bars try to sell alcohol. But selling alcohol, especially at premium prices, requires some X Factor to attract patrons. Seriously, without the chance to get laid by a hottie for a cheap price is there ANY attraction to one of the many Nightwish bars on Soi Six? To a go go club blasting EDM and charging 150 or more for a bottle of Chang?

MORE AND MORE GIRLS WON'T BUDGE FROM THEIR BARSTOOLS: "Never thought I would see the day, but some girls in GC's and bars even on Soi 6 are drinks only. No idea why owners and managers think their customers are coming to speak broken English to bar girls who won't go ST or LT but this is becoming more and more frequent. LODGING & FOOD BARGAINS: Accommodation, food and gyms, etc are all great and cheap as hell. And I always loved the people here. Beyond the sex industry Thailand has a lot to offer and still does, so I have enjoyed my time here immensely. It's tough not to just stick around if you can work remotely.

All true. But as Mr. Roberts explained, it's the Two Week Millionaires who support the naughty boy scene in Pattaya. If the only visitors are Digital Nomads and Thrifty Ex-Pats, the local economy will collapse.

LONG TERM VISITORS ARE HOOKING UP WITH A DIFFERENT TYPE OF GIRL: "I have been getting stuck into the semi pros and less active freelancers. For the past 50 years or so the worldwide economy has ruthlessly eliminated middlemen who don't add value. Who needs a regional sales manager? We can eliminate the manufacturer rep and sell direct! Sounds like the girls are doing the same.

Two problems, it seems to me: (1) Going out to the club or the bar and seeing the girl in the flesh is part of the fun for most naughty boys. Just my opinion, but sitting in my room and scrolling on my phone seems a little sad. Of course YMMV. (2) Choosing a girl online increases the risk of a bad experience. The USA Dollar is trading at about 38 to the Baht, which is the strongest Dollar in years. Compared to, say, 30/$ that's 27% more Baht to the dollar. Might the American Punter be the naughty boy who saves Pattaya?

I'm still on ground two months in an I'll tell you that the other members are correct in saying that the pricing has matched and even surpassed the equivalent quality of girl that can be had in Colombia, Peurto Rico, Dominican Rep, Mexico, or Brazil which all offer MUCH shorter flights, cheaper flights, and friendlier time zone shift for digital nomads to work remotely.

Nobody from the usa will want to continue to fly 22-34 expensive hours just to shift 11 hours time zone for mediocre pussy at above average prices. The only thing keeping Thailand as good value is that it is unrivaled for quality cheaper accommodation, fast cheap internet, and good cheap food compared to europe, africa, and latin america. This is advantageous for the 3 month stay tourist, but the 2 week millionaire gets way more bang for the buck closer to home.

Depending on what city in the USA, the cost analysis for time, travel, and accommodation even lends to the falling price of pussy in the USA. You can have your top level favorite IG model, mid level porn star, or music video stripper at home in Miami, Atlanta, vegas, or Houston for the equivalent time and cost of coming all the way to pattaya. Hell, if you only have a week its much cheaper faster and higher quality to head to Dubai and make rounds or hit Germany and make rounds of FKK and red lights with much more high quality opportunities.

Thailand really only makes sense for americans if you are minimum three weeks stay or if you already have a thai girlfriend and aren't going to be wasting a lot of money bar hopping. i've met a number of american guys who are retired here and they all are basically begging for me to move here permanently because they are bored and not meeting a lot of new people anymore. I probably won't be returning after i leave next month. The value is not here and pattaya is boring to death after you get tired of the clubs, bars, and drinking. there's nothing at all to do unless you enjoy going to the movies watching harry potter and spider man re-released 10 year old movies at the theaters everyday.

I would like to add some general updates based on what I am seeing and hearing given the additional time I have had here too. I'm out of here in two weeks, so its ended up being a good 2.5 months in Pattaya. I'll be going over old ground in some cases, but my view has been solidified for the most part that this place is past its prime and I am not sure how it actually recovers either. Normally I am a two week millionaire type, but I have changed things up given the longer amount of time I have spent in country. I have come to realize talking to the girls, bar managers and owners / staff of various businesses that its the two week millionaires that kept this place going. As much as the old cheap charlies and expats complain about the pricing pressure they create, in reality they were actually the lifeblood for a lot of the industry because they spend big and they pay the bills.

1 - The gogos are a fucked. I love thai women and asian women, but there is simply no way I can justify paying these sorts of barfines and prices. Not to mention the LD quotas. I am not short of a buck and not a budget traveller, but we are talking about prices that are starting to match Europe. I haven't mongered in the US since pre-covid as prices became outrageous. So I decided to take a look at current 1 hour ST prices back home in the US.

I put the average 1 hour price at $400. Conversely, average price in Pattaya for one hour is about 1,500 baht which is about $40.

Thus, it is approximately 10 times cheaper for an ST session here in Thailand than in the US. This doesn't even take into account.

That sessions are much higher quality with Thai girls than American girls given western women's entitlement. Additionally,

There is a huge value prop to Thailand for a US based person like myself. I usually spend 1 week in country twice a year. I travel business class for 120-140 K points miles + $50 fees round trip. I use Marriott for a few nights at the St Regis, or cash outlay $100 nights at the JW. I spend a couple of nights in Pattaya at the Hilton or IC for points /$125/ night cash. All of my stays have club access due to status, so meals / drinks are comped. I can go to a Michelin starred restaurant in BKK for less than $80 for the meal / drinks.

At current exchange rates a BBBJ / CIM at a BJ bar is $20 for pretty much as long you want to hold out. A Soi 6 session with a couple of drinks will set you back perhaps $55, again almost always semi PSE with BBBJ / CIM. Even a night at a Go-Go with drinks and barfine / ST session with shouldn't run over $150. $150 might get you a couple of drinks and couple lap dances at a club in Atl. A PSE Oily in BKK costs $125 for two ladies for 2 hours. You couldn't touch that last item in the states for less than $500-1000 if you don't want opiate addicts or meth heads.

My last trip to BKK / Pattaya a month ago for 7 days cost me $2,174 all in. Business class miles flight, 5-star hotels (4 nights out of pocket), taxis, 2 Michelin starred meals, and most importantly - 13 different ST interludes with 22 pops total. Even without points / miles I could do a week in-country flying economy, AirBnbing, being a bit more frugal meal-wise, and still have 10-12ST interludes and keep myself under $3,000 with each additional week maybe running me $700-800 going at full tilt.

Athens is the only other place that I have found that even comes close on value and mongering availability. You can catch a economy flight for sub $650 from the US, Airbnb for $40/ night, food is cheap, and go to Filis for 20 E a short session, 50-80 E for 20-30 min at a studio, or 80 E at massage place for 1 hour, 2 pops, perhaps even A+, and a half way decent massage. Also, outcalled, hot higher talent eastern EU / South American escorts who are mostly solid 8/9's for 140 E an hour. Upcharged to CIM and A+ for 200 E total. That same service / quality is 2-3 x cost in Dubai. (With a whole lot less attitude).

The German FKK / UAE is still going to be 10-16 hours of travel time and cost twice as much apples to apples. And there is not much of difference between 11 hours and 6-8 hours of time shift. South America / Caribbean is great if you are a proficient / native Spanish speaker, otherwise it is daunting at best and can feel pretty unsafe in any case compared to Thailand.

The biggest warning sign for Pattaya though is the comments from the freelancers I am hearing and even the girls still in the venues, and I really do need to emphasize this.

Pattaya, and Thailand's sex industry is really based on the choices you have in venues and experiences. Oilies, soapies, gogos, beer bars, gentlemen's clubs, freelancers, massage shops. This is why most people are coming. If these girls are sick to death of the nonsense that comes with working at these venues, and they live in an age of social media where they don't need the foot traffic to find customers, then its another body blow for the venue operators themselves as both girls and customers gradually decide to just look at alternatives as the experience declines. This is starting to accelerate now, and Covid was pedal to floor in 5th gear I think.

Most of the girls hate pestering customers for drinks all day, and they know its pissing people off. They also don't want to drink all day either, they know its bad for their health and many customers apparently get quite agitated when the girls are drinking soft drinks rather than alcohol with them. So when you combine that with all the other nonsense and the high barfines that see them not getting chosen that often, its no wonder they are struggling to get the girls to come back too. They seem to want to operate like its still 2002 rather than 2022. So its not just the slim pickings with girls as it is for the punters, the venues themselves are gradually turning into places that are a headache to even visit in the first place.

Its in a death spiral now and I am not sure if they know this or are powerless to stop it. It can be summed up like this:

- The venues are forced to pay higher salaries to attract girls as there is so much competition for them (All of them, not just gogos).

- The girls don't need to put up with venue owner and mamasan bullshit like they used to, they can freelance easily or find other work easily.

- To cover those salaries they need the girls to sell drinks.

- The need to sell drinks has pushed up BF rates to discourage early take out, which has changed the dynamic completely.

- Which means the girls are not getting BF'ed as often, so they now rely on commissions and salary as their primary source of income.

- To keep their salaries and job, they need to hit drink quotas, so they come at the customers hard and move on quickly if the drinks are not flowing.

- The girls hate it, the punters hate it, all the trade is rapidly being being consolidated into a fewer venues while the rest are struggling.

This is a classic industry death spiral. Thing is, now that Thailand is open trade is up, albeit it shit but still up. And because its trending up, the venue operators are likely assuming that things are going to get back to normal soon and things will continue to trend back up, so they are unlikely to change how they are operating. I hope their optimism is correct because I would love to see Pattaya return to what it used to be. I would take 50% of what it used to be. I just don't think that its going to turn out this way, and I think the short term thinking with the owners playing catch up is going to bite them in the ass long term.

Another example is the soapies. I have been meeting girls who used to work at them, but have since stopped. Anyone who has been in them knows the quality of these girls tends to be on the very high side by Thai standards, so they are never going to struggle to find a place to work and there are some knock outs in these venues. Tons of them are freelancing now too though, and what has accelerated it was the desperation of the owners of these venues. They were so desperate for customers that they have been running package deals with tour operators for the Indian tourists. Instead of it being the usual routine of bath, mat play with body wash and then move to the bed for sex, they now offer discounts for Indian groups who are not exactly going to pay traditional soapie prices. Its straight to the bed with the girls without the initial routine, justifying the discount. The girls are expected to see a minimum of 6 people a day before they can go home, and they have basically been turned into knock shops with a fishbowl. Until you see it you won't believe it, but they are dropping off Indian tour groups in mini busses. The expectation is that all the girls that are there are going to have to accept the fact that they are going to get run through a minimum of 6 times a day if they want to leave before their 12 hour shift ends.

Its just crazy shit like this everywhere.

I see no reason for Europeans or Americans to travel here given the options elsewhere at the moment if sex is a major reason for your travel. I am in Brazil at the end of the year, so perhaps my view will change but as it stands right now I am unlikely to return to Thailand anytime soon for anything but business. I have to think that the industry shakes things out and maybe this high season will sort things out if the tourists come back I just don't think its going to be anywhere near the level this place needs at all. The industry is going to have to consolidate a ton if its going to survive, and the venue owners need to start getting a bit more creative with the business models they have in place, because this is not working. How that's done I don't know.

PayFotIt's report was interesting, its great to see people still having a good time rather than everyone being so jaded by the place too. In saying that I went into High Rollers, and there is not a single 8 there, let alone 9's or 10's. If you can find a 9 or 10 in that place then Thailand is going to be a goldmine for you with all the cheap sex still on offer with single mothers whose bodies have been ravaged by baby damage, shitty diets and excessive alcohol consumption. By Thai standards of the past, the lineup at High Rollers would not even get a mention its beer bar level. Soi Pothole is a talent wasteland at the moment I am sorry to say.
