The reason we're even talking about this is because people can't talk about it.

Anyone familar with the DR and it's culture knows pussy is availible countrywide. I know one guy who rides his moto along the Haitain border picking up girls on the raodside or clomados and taking them to cabanas and dropping them off paying no more than 1200 pesos.

But people keep talking around it. There's a major land grab and political power struggle happening between ultra corrupt Mayor Willy and The President's Family.

Again no one knows what's going to happen, The Hard Rock is listed as "Hard Rock Puerta Plata" despite being in Sosua. But someone bought that land and property. Look at the Sosua Inn one of the better hotels in town and has bailee's downstairs, It used to have a club upstairs and now has apartments. Kevin has been trying to unload the whole thing at 10 million for two years no takers.

If I had pull in Santo Domingo I could call in the army chase the weekend warriors away then buy it as a distressed sale for 4 million Then sell it to someone else who will either turn it into apartments or condos or make it a small resort. The girls could come back or the families could come and either way the person who bought for a song makes money.

Anyone on youtube no matter what they say is small potatoes and don't really matter which is why they can't talk about certain things or be a citizen.

Again The Dominican "Republic" is a rule of Men not law country Property rights and freedom of speech and association only matters so much.

Of all the predictions so far, the one that has been most realistic is that action will go underground and getting laid will need more work, if the crackdown is sustained.

When you think about it, like someone rightfully said, there are women to be met in every part of the island, but Sosua stands out like a sore thumb, with creep camers uploading daily videos of the 2 blocks of two streets for the world to see. The decision makers still know that prostitution is a huge part the tourism pull, which is why they haven't made laws to outlaw it entirely.

When I was last in Punta Cana, everyone was a pimp, from the cab that picked my up at the airport, the security guy at the bar, the moto guy, everyone wants to offer you girls, regardless of how how you say no, some are even possibly scams. But that's the vibe, more hidden and overpriced, unless you have your way.

Sosua was special because you need no pimp or system, just walk the streets, enjoy the sight and choose to partake or not. But some people couldn't just visit and go home, they wanted to profit off of it by making lame videos on YouTube. And like someone rightfully said, when you rub it on the faces of the authorities, they can't not do nothing.

Depending on which direction the crackdown and rebranding go, if they are able to pull off the all inclusive resort vibes, then it becomes Punta Cana, more restricted, more expensive. If they can't it becomes another Boca Chica, a few empty overpriced resorts and very little action.

In any case, the only people that have issues are the weekend warriors that depend on the street walkers, those who have been off the beaten paths will be fine, if anything it's more women for them to meet.

It really gets rocking at night. Because it's so compact it\s hard to creep cam and the girls aren't super aggressive you just have to open your eyes.
