I also don't pay bar fines, I just meet up with them at the end of the night if they are not from a freelance bar. If you plan on having them meet you at the end if night, usually have two to three lined up as one usually flakes and won't csll to neet up with you or they found a bigger fish. Stick to your price, plenty of ladies to go around.

I was in PP back in 09 but never made it to HOD during that trip. Is it still a decent venue?

Also what is the best time to go? I remember back then people said it was more of an "after midnight" place, is that still the case nowadays?

It's just a disco. Nothing special. Same as Pontoon. (cover charge Friday / Saturday). Both places you can pickup girls but they are the same girls you see on the street and in restaurants as waitresses etc.

Took a girl in the daytime from WA to a short time guest house yesterday, in the room, I lit a cigarette up and told her to take a shower whilst I waited, she went in, I lay on the bed and smoked my ciggarette. Anyhow, after I went in to see why she was taking so long, she had a bong made out of a plastic bottle and some straws and she was smoking a small red pill bit like the heroin junkie pix you see, using some foil or something and a lighter sucking in the fumes that stank. The pill was small maybe the circumference of a cigarette and not that 'fat', I got pretty.

I asked her what the hell it was, she was pretty shocked, think she'd forgotten to lock the bathroom door, she just said it was yama and said she smoked it to get some 'power' then she just bolted out of the room leaving the bottle, pill and lighter behind, she hadn't undressed, nor had a bag or anything else.

I pretty much freaked and gathered everything together and shoved them in my bag then left the room, the guy at reception wanted to know if there was a problem, I just said the girls mum had called and there was a problem at her home and everything was ok.

As I was walking I dumped the stuff she'd left as carefully as possible.

Now, what the fuck was the tablet? I know about 'yaba' apparently imported from Thailand, and 'ice' which the nigerians sell over here, but what the fuck are these small little tablets, and more importantly how much shit can I get into with the police if they catch me in a room with a working girl who has this with her or she's smoking it? Will I be deemed responsible etc?

Also, is 'yama' as fucked up as the other shit as I hate the yaba / ice girls they are too messed up in the head and totally untrustworthy for even a second.

The short answer is you can end up in a heap of trouble if you are caught in the room with a girl smoking that stuff or even have it on her. You will be handcuffed photographed pictured on the front page of newspaper and end up indefinitely in jail.

Pontoon doesn't have a live band. I say fuck Pontoon until they get rid of the cover charge.

Hard drugs in Cambodia are illegal, and the laws are somewhat enforced. Although IMO, the greatest risk is ODing. Note that marijuana is also illegal, but the laws for possession are not enforced.

For simple hard drug possession, you are not going to be splashed on the front pages of the newspaper (only for the traffickers). But the drug enforcement police is going to want a bribe if you are caught.

IMO, the drug enforcement police are not going to care if you are responsible; they are just going to see the dollar sign.

My guess / hope is that a person in that situation will be found "not guilty" by the courts, but you don't want to get into that situation.

I would just give a bribe to the cops. Not sure how much that would be. But the bribe should be a lot cheaper than Thailand.

Traffickers (or those accused of being one) are put on the front page of newspapers. Newspapers should leave you alone for simple possession, unless you are famous. It seems your post confirms my previous comments.

I was just advising that for simple possesion of hard drugs, you can stay "under the radar" and pay a small bribe.

Previously I have posted stuff that wasn't 100% correct in the way the info was written. People have clarified my write-ups; I don't mind. I definitely did not lie, nor do I think the other posters thought I was a liar.

Just for further information. It was not long ago that the guest house the happy hippy was busted. It was no surprise even though he bragged on his website that he was well connected and he and his pot smoking guests would never have any problems.

Well he got busted, but what was worse was all those that were staying in his guest house were also busted. I could dig up the pictures of that one too if you are interested. Don't get me wrong I am not against people who smoke pot. But Cambodia is definitely not the place it once was. If you smoke pot in the open now you are taking a big risk. Even the little copper will take notice as he has been given a command by Hun Sen to crack down on drugs. So he will either bust you and it will cost you big time $$$$ if you are lucky but more likely they will take your picture bump the charges up and throw you in jail. This way they are seen to be doing something and they will still get their money but much more of it to many more people.
