I'm not trying to big up Kartika over any other place and, indeed I am really keen to try Hotel Travel and TC on my next trip. Maybe because I am fairly regular at Kartika but with one or two exceptions in my early days I don't usually pay more than 50krp in tips but I do sometimes leave something extra at the checkout lady.

Strange - you "promise long and detailed reports when I am back about Jakarta, Macau and Philippines" yet you've only written one post so far, a post that asked a question without giving us any useful info. So it's hard to get excited about answering you.

Hotel Travel is on Jalan Mangga Besar VIII, which is a side road off of Jalan Mangga Besar, a major east-west road in the northern part of Jakarta.

TC or Today Country is located inside the main building of Lokasari Plaza, which is located on Jalan Mangga Besar. A mamasan at TC once informed me that they would not employ any girl older than 20 years of age there.

The much-discussed Kartika Spa (famous for its soapy body-to-body massage) is located in the first alley off Jalan Hayam Wuruk, just south of the intersection of Jalan Hayam Wuruk and Jalan Mangga Besar. Three alleys further south is the entrance to the famous Stadium Disco, Night Club and brothel - supposedly the disco goes 24 hours non-stop all weekend.

I am now waiting for you to fulfill your promise!

I'm finishing up the better part of a week between Singapore (see my one report--very sad) and Jakarta. I haven't been to the latter for about 10 years and am certainly enjoying my return.

For you newbies out there, traffic in Jakarta really sucks, so if you're here doing a full day of business and then partying at night, it limits your options somewhat. I have made it to Top Gun at Blok M once, and been to CJ's at the Hotel Mulia several times. Since I'm staying at the Mulia it could not be more convenient. FYI, Blok M and the bars there remind me somewhat of Nana Plaza in Bangkok--rather dirty and seedy. Top Gun did have a live band playing last Saturday. CJ's is much much classier, and the current band puts on quite a show. Expect to pay the equivalent of $6.50 for a bottle of Heineken there. Tonight (Tuesday) it was not crowded at all, although I did pick up an awesome hottie IMHO. Last Saturday there were plenty of available women at CJ's and it was going strong when I departed around 2 AM with my "date". I understand that Wednesday is ladies night at CJ's, so that may bring in some more weeknday action.

I will be sure to post the details of my time spent with Dei-Wi and now Sulis.

Still owe you guys some details on the action from CJ's. But another note from today is that I finally collected my free professional massage from the Mulia Hotel. Merry the attendant was petite and cute, wearing a nice uniform, and smelled great. I don't know about "cepek", but in the usa we call 100 dollars a c note as well, I think it is short for "century" note since there are 100 years in a century.
