LOL In that case, Thermae maybe the wrong venue.[/QUOTE]You know, I believe there is a subtle but important distinction to be made in any discussion of looks, clothing, shoes, age, demeanor and so on that might impress a Thai hooker in terms of her possibly getting the hots for him in the course of doing her job and how the cultural element of "Face" plays a part in who she responds to, especially in a venue like Thermae where issues of who tries (and might fail) to connect with who, who chooses who, who agrees to go with who and all that is much more on easily observable public display than many other places.

I have no dilusions about the fact that, were it a one on one mostly private encounter, the question of how much I can and will pay the girl trumps the hell out of whether I am fit or fat, 40 or 70, wearing dress shoes or no shoes, smile broadly or stare grimly into the abyss of life without mirth. But to the girls in a place like Thermae, I think it does matter to them what everyone else thinks of the matchup. Has she been chosen by (and agreed to go with) someone who looks like he at least knows how to present himself, behave politely, will treat her well financially, perhaps cause her to be the envy of the girls he did not choose.

I honestly feel that was an element in why Thermae girls have traditionally in more recent times wanted to be chosen by Japanese customers. Not because they did in fact pay significantly more money and treat them significantly more politely than their farang counterparts, which is a bit of supposedly conventional wisdom that I have never bought into anyway, but because it WAS the conventional wisdom that so many others, imcluding most Thermae FLs, bought into.

All of the so called Arab's bars (there are seven of them) Rio, Kiss, Deja Vu, Midnite, Sahara, Rawhide, and Spice Girls are bars to avoid. Over the years there have been many warnings and bad experiences posted here about these bars. Basically they are rip off joints. How they continue to stay open despite the poor business they generate is open to speculation. Some think they are money laundering operations and others think they serve as a front for a more nefarious purpose. In any case stay away or give them a try. It is up to you. Just don't say you were not warned.

Now all that said, I must say that some of those little sweeties hanging out outside these bars trying to coax customers into their respective honky tonks are damn cute. Many times I have let them use their natural charms to try to persuade me into one of their bars. We flirt a little back and forth, but then it always comes down to a Mexican standoff when I summarize, "I won't go your bar, if you no come my hotel" and then we say our little friendly goodbyes. No harm, no foul on either side. My little interactions with these girls takes up less than 5 minutes of my time. I am counting on the one night a girl for whatever reason says, "yes, I come your hotel," but I am not holding my breath. 555

The thing I hate most about the Arab's bars is that they take up valuable real estate that could be put to better use if some other entity were leasing the property. What a waste of commercial space, but then I am not into money laundering or other various counterfeit activities. The so called "Arab" is not a fool. He must have a rational reason why he manages the properties the way he does. I just wish he would disappear or the authorities would close him down.

[/QUOTE]Yes, okay The girl has her image to maintain, so she doesn't want to be seen leaving with the "dregs" of the customers. If she is a top girl, she should be able to pull a good standard of customer or a rich one. I think my comments on the desirable customer still apply. Very ordinary girls may have to take a wider range of customers. Often girls have some standards though that they do not like to compromise.

Some girls have a good personality and are willing to take even disabled customers with unusual body shape, while others do not as they probably do not know what to do with a disabled person. This is not a Thermae comment. More general.

Last night I am chatting with 3 freelancers on Nana Carpark. All 3 are fairly good looking. He told me he had spent 8000 Baht on a girl in Nana Plaza bar for ST, I guess including BF, drinks etc. I don't know if was Coyote or not, however I guess the term "rip off" could apply, as newbies don't know anything and need an experienced wingman, or to read the forum. I explained that street walkers were a lot cheaper. LOL. He asked if they were dangerous too. I could only say I did not feel any danger with the ones I knew (slightly). Dangerously cheap, yes. Their ID card does get handed to the Hotel Desk. My girl had even showed me her ID card to prove she was a lot older than what I thought.

So a rip off can occur in any bar, where a customer has no clues about what is going on.

On my first trip to Thailand I was fortunate to have found an experienced guy, who I accidently met at my home town airport and was on the same plane to Bangkok, previously knowing him from my Thai language class.

In the modern day, guys who know nothing, should be surfing the internet, a source of lots of info on all subjects. Not sure why they have not. The web is always my friend to try to find some good data amongst the bullshit too, of course.

The few left lookers there are to fussy about drinks and sometimes even not attempting to drink the ordered drinks anymore. Seems they have more important things to do now.

Billboard and Bangkok Bunnies are relatively new competitive places and the good looking girls get spread over a half dozen places now. I was surprised by Twisters, the former Rainbow 2 Bar in second floor. They got some lookers and it seems they have a quiet aggressive setup. He had never been there and was impressed by so much female nudity. Well, it is impressive to the first timer there, almost regardless of the looks quality of the current lineup vs the past.

But my impression of Crazy House that night was similar to what I'd posted about it a while back; the nudity aside, that night's lineup would be sub par even for some of the lesser go-go bars around town.

Got my ticket to BKK. Looked around a while and found a great deal on Korean Air, which had the shortest travel time, as well. However, it puts me in BKK at 11 PM (that's 23:00). I had hoped to pop inside some Thai girl the night I arrived. But, I understand there could be a long line through customs and a significant cab ride at that hour. Any idea of a time frame when it will take me to reach a hotel on Sukhumvit that late? And what would be good entry level mongering options at that time? I am considering Ruamchitt Plaza for a few nights, as it appears to have a lot going on in the immediate proximity and close to the BTS. I'm not sure if I should dive headfirst into Nana the day I hit the ground. Or do others think that is easy enough? If you land by 11, I am guessing you should be at the hotel by 2-2. 30 am.

You could take a shower and head to to Nana or Soi 11 a lot of girls from the massage places usually stand on Soi 11. Last time when I was in BKK, I was really tired on arrival so took a nap and got up at like 3 am. I stayed at on Soi 8 I guess. So walked across to Soi 11 found a few girls on the street offering me a good massage.
