If you have already made plans made to go, then you are way ahead of me. You understand, of course, the second they swipe your US credit card to pay for the ticket to Habana, you are on the radar. But I'm not sure, do airlines even take cash anymore? Plus, it's probably not a good idea to wait until the morning you arrive in Cancun to hope there will be a seat left on the flight to Habana. Just something to think about.

No it's not crazy, but I'm not sure it's a good idea to venture into the eastern end of the island when you don't have at least a working knowledge of the lingo.

I appreciate if anyone could share his experience. I know we can buy on line from http: www. Cubana. See you. They have third party charging the see / see but not sure if US back know that they are representing Cuba airline.

Gus[/QUOTE]Looks like you are a first timer going to Cuba. If that is the case, I would suggest the following.

- Once checked in, go down to the ground floor bar, have few drinks and you could possibly meet few mongers and tag along with where ever they go.

- In case you do not find any one, or do you not want to go with anyone then take a cab standing in front of Tropicoco around 10 pm and ask him to take you to Gunanabo Club / Guanimar, taxi charge 5 CUC.

- This club is full of girls who are either semi pros or pros, unless a girl is hanging around with a cuban guy. Simply 99% are there to be picked up.

- Find a girl, buy her a drink (1 CUC normal days, it changes if a band is playing), and talk to her and tell her what you want. Offer max 40 CUC (30 CUC should be possible), again this is just a guideline, if you really like someone and she wants 100 CUC it is upto you to decide.

- Ask her about a Casa, and she will either know a place or would know a taxi driver who knows a place. For taxi 5 CUC to 10 CUC depending on where the casa is, and 20 CUC for the case, may be 30 CUC if you decide to stay for the whole day.

- You are all set.

I suggested you a plan, honestly I will not follow it.

I would have a drink in Tropicoco, hang around in the lobby, smoke a good cigar outside, and have few more drinks and good night sleep. Next morning, I will goto the playa across the street and around 11 am will take the 5 peso bus that goes from Tropicoco round about to Guanabocoa center or walk up the road that goes to Via Blanca and take the 5 peso bus that goes to Guanabo, from the moment I get into the bus the hunting will start. I will sit around Guanabocoa church or by Guanabo playa, walk around and will continue the hunt till I find someone good to my eyes and convince her to talk to me. Nobody will talk in the street, so will do my best to find a side alleyway to talk, or signal her to come into one of the coffee shops around and convince her to come with me, or take me to her place. I might find the girl in 5 minutes, 5 hours or it would take the whole day. Or I may not find anyone willing to come with me. Who cares, when I do find, and then bang her, I know it will all be worth it. Just in case I do not find anyone and become desperate, then I will follow what I suggested earlier.

You asked about Havana / Old Havana. Someone should be able to help you there, I avoid them as plaque.

Go with an open mind, be positive and either goto club and take it easy or work hard in your game for the gems. Either way, have a good time.

Use the safe. If there is no safe lock items in bag. They might take item like after shave. Cuba is on of the safest countries in the world. Talk to security before bring back the girls to hotel and make arrangements. Read the past posts. Use the search function.

I've been in Cuba now for a week and the island is opening all her treasures to me. Is it me? Or are these girls possessed when it comes to passionate sex? (Veteran Cuba travelers respond). I share your enthusiasm for Cuba. If it wasn't such a pain for us US citizens to travel there, I would go all the time. It just has so much more character and flavor than say Colombian or the DR.

I don't want a bunch of Americans fucking up my good thing. Sure Cuba is hard for the newbie but its uniqueness and safety, along with the beautiful women, make it perfect for me. I don't see any Americans when I'm there. The Europeans are having a ball there.

The DR is a better bang for the buck but the Dominican women are hit and miss. Plus you can never really trust a Dominicana, and don't get me talking about the corrupt police and politicians. Tourists are untouchable in Cuba as long as you aren't fucking up, that alone makes it worthy. Name me some place else in the world where tourist are completely safe?

Cuba is being preserved for a limited time and I'm going to enjoy it completely while its still pure.
