Seasoms Change/ Artisttyp in Medellin 2010
Good Evening,
I just got in last night but as usual I have a few things to say. Before anything please be advised that I am writing on half a keyboard here. Luckily I am an email nerd and I can remember where the keys are. Sort of.
I've had two sessions already and I've been out hunting for bargin hotels.
Sexi. Carrera 45 no57-55 I had a one hour session with "Andrea" a very pretty paisa for 40k and a 10k tip for good service and BBBJ. As usual the young girls get grossed out by my piggish ways but she did put some effort into it and I did get a BBBJ. I am surprised I got as far as I did with her. Sometimes service really sucks with girls like this. She was ok. 30 minute rates were going for 27K.
Calle 53 de grief. I have a live hate realationship with this area. Why? There is all kinds of shit going on there. Alot of the girls are into drugs and alot don't have ID. Cops are all over that area as well. For some reason my instincts are giving me red flags when I go there.
Anyway I went through the usual bullshit with these girls buying one two beers at around 2/3k each. She was very cute 18 yrs old and had the whole club look going on like shades the braided hair etc. Very mtv! We finally went to a hotel for 50k for her and 10k for the hotel. *These prices are way too high for that area. I stuck my foot in my mouth by trying to get her on a GFE date instead amd promised her double of what it usually cost for that reason alone.
The GFE didn't work out. To be honest there was no viB. I am so used to dealing with hoes I forgot how to act with a hoe who I wanted for a gfe!
I was trying to be slick and take her out of her element but it was stupid on my part. I went with the 50k deal to save face and not cause waves on my first day. It will not happen again.
I stayed the first evening at hotelnutibara for the first time. 108k for the room. State this when you email them or else they will want around 150k.
The rooms are nice full minibar bkfst buffet included. Staff waits on you like a king. Very nice.
This morning I went around looking for cheaper digs in the centro. I am here for 3 weeks so I must budget. A decent place will run you $25 per night even less but Id stick with the $25 hotels. I almost confirmed for the:
Hotel Cristal
Carrera 49 no 57-12
511 56 31
Rooms are going for 45k with fridge in the room. I think this is a great deal in an ok hotel for *some people. These places are total locals places so you are on your own. This one seemed the most decent to me.
Instead I opted for another hotel which I will not mention just yet. The rates are $34 per night but I worked it down to $30 for a 7 night stay amd I can pay with credit card and save atm fees. Most only accept cash. Free breakfast is included. I usually spend $5 on breakfast anyway so it works out great. ITs not as cozy as the nutibara but In just happy to be anywhere right now. Better than freezing my ass off in NYC.
The bad news is many things have changed:
1. The university is closed until Monday. I like to hang out in the zona libre there and when I saw the gates closed my heart sank.
2. A friend I met last time is away from Medellin until feb when I leave. He was my go to guy and car buddy. He isn't here. Thats a bummer.
3. The non pro I hooked up with last time is awol.
4. My japanese joint I go to for vegetables is gone. Instead I ate chow mien at the Chinese joint. No vegetables in sight for now. I like to eat very healthy but it looks like I'm screwed.
The airport is being remodeled. This won't affect you much. However I had to walk a country mile and climb stairs with my bags to hit an atm before hoping into a cab. You would do yourself a great favor if you had some pesos prior to arriving. If you travel very light then no problem. I entered the cab with my face dripping sweat like If I played tennis for an hour. 52k took me to the centro. I was thinking of taking a shuttle but F that. If you have a carry on and thats it fine but its too annoying to deal with after a flight.
*Be aware that when you book a direct flight NYC to Bogota on avianca. You might be stopping in Medellin first. There were alot of angry passengers going to Bogota that were sold non stop tickets but found out they had a Medellin layover. Lan did that to me for Argentina and it was a 22 hour nightmare.
***Question:
I need a good solid answer to a question please.
I am thinking of going to periera and then manizales. Maybe if I get bored here. That means I need to move my whole operation and make new hotel arrangements etc. I want to know:
IS IT WORTH THE EFFORT? I don't rent drivers for the day. I am on a budget. Will I get bored after one day? Does anybody think it is one of those places you see for only a day or two or a few hours and then you want to come back to civilization? I would go look for *****s then maybe take a cab ride and take a few photos. Is it worth it for this or is it just a passing through type of thing?
I heard Cali is in rainy season.
Anyway thats all for now. If anybody is around let me know via pm.
As always no promises and thank you dearly to all that post infomation.
I also wanted to add. Who gives a shit if you don't get a non pro here. This city is loaded with pussy. You can do way more with your time. Save the drama for someplace else. You don't need to sweat it here.

Agree With Seasoned Mongers
I must agree with the seasoned mongers here that it usually takes more than 2 dates minimum in order to lay a 'decent'or homely as some might put it non pro girl(an oxymoron to me). I myself was a naive, still am and try to fool myself with the notion of being still young, macho and potential to get a non pro NO MATTER the cost and in hindsight often regret going through the whole drama of courting a girl, even for one night and feeling guilty or not being able to kick her out after the deed. Even for fast, suave aggressive games, you will have to intoxicate her and often results in bad performance later on, the main obstacle against you being the 'foreign'factor. Of the times I have been to Medellin, I only managed to lay 2 non pros for a managetrois session and quite frankly they were after a prospective. Of other few non pros, mostly from annoying parque lleras zone(jamrock bar, Dubai club, la shots next to octavia) I did regret it next morning. If I wanted an all nighter, club, boozing and prepago sex I usually stick to Barrio Colombia's Mantra, Karma or Bling Bling in Autopista. In here too you will have to walk a fine line and don't wanna [CodeWord140] off the local dudes. From observation, even the so called 'mafiosos' in Medellin type of guys are receptive and often will introduce you to one of the plastic girls in their group if you play aloof and aren't way too aggressive with their girls. My paranoia 20/20 hindsight tells me these guys are their pimps seeing how they pass you off from one girl to the other, even if it means for only dancing or to collect potential digits.
Speaking of non-pros I must admit I was pissed off this morning after a girl on a second date to El Sabon salsa/jazz bar in el centro left me high & dry last night. 2 dates, 150k down and a tease dry hump session left me in bitter taste. What further bothered me is how controlling this chica was. I was seeing potential asian american tourist girl there whom I danced with once and she starts to cock block me with the cliched baby talk. Further take her all the way to her mom's apartment in belen and throughout cab she's whinning about wanting to move out of there. What a wasted week it has been to my penis. Will be meeting a friend tonight in parque lleras and get some arabic food/shisa (If only they had arabic food, curry joint in el Centro, Laureles, 80, setenta, I would have never ventured into grotesque & often pompous parque lleras). BTW to the seasoned fellas who appreciate decent oldies & purist music, anyone here been to B-Lounge or Melodie Bar. Heard they play jazz in melodie bar? Any pros there as I can't stand anymore non-pro nag till the end of the month.
Sorry about the rant fellas.
Cheers
