Not because the sea was dirty (it wasn't, back then at least) but because you walk and walk and your balls are still over the water. Had a great time though with a TSM bunch if anyone remembers that one. It was a fun trip. I covered SD, BC, Santiago and Sosua in 2 weeks. Good times.

You could walk out and still see the bottom. But now all of a sudden a bunch of trash is seen in the water and it helps none that it is also sargassum season. That's what this is all about Land speculation. Even in PC Youtuber Jamie Gruber bought a one bedroom condo in a flood zone in PC not for rent he admits that he won't make much for that but so they land can be bought by a developer. Theyre making these plays Island wide Again Sosua is and was an agricultural area that Trijullo wanted to use to whiten up the country but not necessarily with those whites so he put them in a remote corner. That remote corner is Sosua. Sex tourism or not there's never going to be a Punta Cana north and even Punta Cana took more than twenty years to become what it is.

If I had a half million sitting around for a vacation or retirement villa Sosua is not the worst place in the world but for the money you could probably get something similar in the Bahamas.

I'll bet you could get something cheaper in Jamaica. You could say that even Montego Bay lacks amenities but so does Sosua.

I don't know who did it but whoever did it was a marketing genius to turn a town that is less interesting than San Christobal into a global fleshpot.

Back to the Pussy or close this section down. I just saw Linkz up Youtube a Canadian New Yorker say that Sosua could be big as or bigger than Punta Cana But it would take Years.

Because the Dominican Republic doesn't allow free speech you can't really believe anything said online even Mr. T says tourism is picking up in one video and saying the streets are dead in another.

Again I said way back that the town was purpose built for sex tourism because it's too small and underresourced to be big. You'd have to demolish LOS Charamicos, Marantha and Sosua Abajo and replace it with snowbirds but actually Passport Bro expats to get a real downtown El batey to rival even the Malecon in Puerta Plata.

If you lived in Sosua at this point almost anything other than food of any quality you'd have to buy in Puerta Plata or Santiago so why not live there?

It's the reason that the Santiago forum hasn't blown up even though the chicas are there the chicas ain't there. Unless you know exactly where to go (and no know to my knowledge every said it) You don't know so it's easier to go to where you know where the hoes are like SD, PC and until recently Sosua.

The only reason why any expat would pick Sosua is because of the hoes. Either you're a henpecked simp husband of a local a female expat tired of paying Sank Pankies is Caberete or you're a sexpat.

Best beach in the DR is las galleras and It has to be cheaper to live if you're a thifty fifty year old.

As a fellow expat although I do want guys to visit Cali I don't want them to have a bad time, I don't post "Trip reports" because I live here and living overseas for years It's kinda hard for me to make a "where the hoes at?" post because I know that the hoes are EVERYWHERE. If I lived in the DR again I'd probably live in Santiago It's cheap not too far from beaches and I'll find hoes with little to no drugging you could use dating apps like the dickens.

Even John of Casa Comprai sneak dissed him. Even though I agree with John I guess I see the kid's play cop some condos throw them on Airbnb which finances his lifestyle and find some other condos or villas for rent or sale make a youtube channel get a commission for any sucker who buys.
