About HB favouring the Hessen clubs: I am just guessing but maybe one difference between him and others who tend to knock the Big 3 is: HB actually visits the clubs on a regular basis within the past couple of years? Maybe that is it...?

As I've said, its all the same to me. Each one should come to his/her own conclusions.
The point is that there is different approach taken to the hobby there.
I don't think tourists should be wandering around the countryside anyway dropping in on these smaller non-tourist oriented clubs. This forum fulfills its purpose by keeping them on the beaten path. Let's not change things.
One only has to look at the activity under the World, Palace and Oase threads to see where the average ISGer spends his time and money.
Throwing this information out there isn't going to change things. Which is fine.
I will discourage anyone from visiting Bernds, Samya, etc.. if they are looking for the kind of experiences they find at the larger clubs. If you are happy with those clubs, stick with them. You will only be disappointed.
When I find an equivalent survey on Booms FFM Forum (the regional forum for Hessen), then we will know what the [i]Einheimische[/i] in Hessen really think.
Problem is that there isn't quite the plethora of clubs in Hessen as there are in NRW.
Come to think of it, the Germans might be quite surprised to read about which clubs ISGers visit the most.

I'm not questioning HB's credibility but the logic behind this is similar to the Woody Allen quote:

If someone will fund my next visits to the Hessen 3 (why would I want to spend my own money on this?), I will gladly take them up on their offer the next time I am stranded in FFM waiting for a flight. I'm not into visiting a large club where the chances are high that I will leave it [i]ungepoppt[/i] despite the large selection (I have done this by the way).
The constant pacing, the not-very-subtle marketing efforts of the women, the thumping techno or pop music. It drives me nuts.

Is there a separate board for discussion about La Folie on Kaiser Friedrich Strasse? Or does that go under "Other FKK clubs"? That is the only FKK I've visited.

Actually I do know a bunch of Germans preferring the big clubs, but also German folks preferring the smaller clubs, so I don't think it's a matter of nationality.

Actually I also know quite a few Germans who seem to gravitate to the bigger clubs. It is interesting to hear a number of locals complain about that same thing that Marlow has in another thread. That foreigners have ruined the FKK scene. I'm guessing that 60 to 70 % of the Germans that I meet and talk to in the clubs start in on this song when talking to me. Odd since as you know, I do not sound as though I was born in Hanover, but several of these guys freely unload their displeasure at how us foreigners have spoilt the girls and helped ruin the scene.

I don't tell them too much, because I want them to continue to keep the smaller clubs I enjoy well-supported. ;-) ("Yeah, they're not bad, the odd good-looker here or there on the rare good day. On the other topic, I agree that the Germans do have some grounds for complaint as to the watering effect of foreigners on standards. That's why I always plead for us to abide by their usances (e.g. generally no tipping). But they are famous for complaining about almost everything. There are a good number of clubs along the French border which would be long gone without the French customers keeping them afloat and enticing a better quality of provider into the bargain. And where would GT be without the Dutch? OK, better not answer that one :-) :-)

Foreigners are willing to accept lower standards (covered blow jobs, no DFK etc.) and on the other hand higher prices (100 EUR for a "nice half hour"). And newbies do not inform themselves about the pricing structure when entering a club. Can't blame one of the girls to be willing to accept 500 EUR for an hour if offered by a messe guest.

As a guilty outsider, DFK is not a deal breaker for me. I enjoy it, but I wouldn't let it keep me from banging a hot babe. Covered BJ's, outrageous. I would walk out.
