Also about my earlier post I kind of liked the girls at Zapata bar but charging me very high barfine or lady drinks was not very nice.
Another advantage for Cambodia over Thailand is that there are no true rip off bars; I don't think that ex-pats and established tourists will allow that.
But some bars / clubs might slightly over-charge. We should keep a list of bars and clubs that gouge.
How much did Zapata charge for the barfine and lady drinks? Lady drinks should not be more than $3. What's a normal barfine from the hostess bars; is it $7?

I was there around 6 hour and there was around 7 girls in the bar.
I think I was over-charge by about 60 dollar.
Anyway I am from a rich country so I can live with it.
Yeah, the last time I went to the "building" was back in August 2011, and the 3 times I've been there, I was pretty scared, but tried to look tough. The girls are 5-8 in looks, but you can't beat $10 LT. This in 2011! I was afraid I'd be expected to do the deed in the falling-apart-building, but we walked 2 blocks to a guest house, with the pimp following close by.
Yeah, K11 is an old shadow of its former self, but yes, they still have the 4 shacks on that road. Girls are 5-7 in looks, aged 17 to 22. And no BBBJ. It's become very strict. $20. I had to give a girl $5 more just to do doggy. And they know almost no English, so everything is done with motions and sign language.
I'm not aware of that place opposite the train station near la marmire restaurant. You mean "La marmite" near the what Phnom? And I went all over toul kok, and found nothing, unless there's a secret area I missed.
Found a couple brothels on st63, but none impressive with 2-3 girls, but I don't know this "behind big A" Maybe I missed it.
I bet the Cambodians know of all these places that still have the flavor of old, but even that, I'd bet is very little. The Wild West is gone.
The old famous #building# (his name) I haven t been in PP since 2008 and was thinking this place used to be totally destroyed anyway. You will be lucky if you will not be robbed there, this place was always notoriously famous in phnom penh for his dangerosity ever long term expat don t go there without guns or bodyguard you re no frills Rewsna. And yes in this place you can get everything, absolutly all as long as you paid.
Note that the girls of the building used to played their trade in hun sen park at night. Check the archives and you will see that many mongers got problem with these girls. In fact with their pimps. Begining 2000 huen sen park and his orange girls was delight.
Have you try the esplanade opposite the train station? At the same level of la marmire restaurant. (the opposite side of the park, the darkest part). I can t believe toul kok get nothing anymore couple of month ago a friend used to find his luck after the curvewhere railtrack cross the road)
Also you don t ventured in st 63 behind big A?
I am amazed you mentioned km11 again.
Cheers
rewsna actually went to k11 and did the business.
one has to ask why someone would be that stupid?
and then to claim that girls were as young as 17?
for foreigners 18 is the age of consent and don't forget that khmers usually add a year to their age-they one when born.
k11 is supposed to be watched by ngos, i can see why now if people actually still go and then claim some girls are ****?
no disrespect.
i'm just letting people know the conditions and dangers that are out there. just sharing information to the forum. sex with **** is illegal and wrong. so it's better to know what's going on so everybody's better prepared. knowledge is better than ignorance.

fyi greenbud. andrew howard and 2 cambodian women get three years each for 0.5g of amphetamines this amount really is personal use only you must agree on that.
an american national and two cambodian women were sentenced yesterday by the phnom penh municipal court to three years in prison each after being found guilty of both drug trafficking and drug usage.
andrew howard, a 46-year-old american tourist, sreng kunthea. 20, and chheng sok leakhena. 25, were also ordered to pay fines of 8 million riel (us $2, 000) each. 'based on the hearing and the drugs confirep001ed from the three suspects, the court has found them guilty, ' presiding judge at the court kor vandy said.
sreng kunthea was arrested on march 16, at a night club in the capital's daun penh district and found to be in possession of four packages of methamphetamine.
answers provided by sreng kunthea led to the arrest of andrew howard and his girlfriend, chheng sok leakhena, on the same day at the newcastle guesthouse, also in the daun penh district, where police seized two packages of methamphetamine and several items of paraphernalia.
'i have no comments. i will appeal to the court of appeals, ' howard said yesterday. sreng kunthea and chheng sok leakhena could not be reached for comment.

You can't trust most of the locals in the sex / drug industry.
Status update on Heart of Darkness and Pontoon last Tuesday and Wednesday night at approx 2 AM: I still say "fuck Pontoon because they probably still have a cover charge without drink coupon on the weekends", but the scene at Pontoon was slightly better than Heart. More people / girls were present.
Most of the girls were local at both Heart and Pontoon. There were virtually no white girls around; maybe 2 or 3. It seems the scene is changing.
The notorious $ 10 "massage" places on street 63 are gone, and I think this time it is really for good.
In one of the three places on the east side of the street there is even already a new shop (stationary?) , and the other two are also being renovated.
They have been closed for a month or two already, but since nobody else mentioned it, I thought I just bring it up.
I had a question about the kinds of bars in PP. A lot of the bars seem to be FL bars, other options seem to be brothels, hostess bars. I was wondering if there were any Thailand type beer bars / go-gos? That would be my preference if there were any. FLs would be good for a change but the good thing about bar girls tend to be that they are accountable to the bar at the end of the day. I am arriving next Monday and if any fellas wanted to help out I am ready to accept the help. Not yet decided where I would be staying but it's on my expense.
Another question. Are there any known safe and decent apartment choices for a couple of months? In such places it's usually best to work with a hotel for long term arrangement but I wanted to ask if someone was aware of any such apartments / brokers.
A lot of the bars seem to be FL bars, other options seem to be brothels, hostess bars. This town doesn't have any pole dancing and the decor isn't likely to be as fancy as in Thailand, though. Most girls work for a bar. Though there are some girls who won't go home with customers generally I've found plenty do.
There are actually few FL bars in comparison. I'd guesstimate there are 50 bars to go for paid sex. Only a handful (Sharky, Martinis, Walkabout) are FL places. And yes, there are alsoa few places I'd call hostess bars (like Shanghai) , where the girls seem far more into lady drinks than going home with you.
