I think this Rejection thing is getting over analysed. Plenty of guys have to deal with being rejected by some place or girl on a regular basis. Why be pissed off or have any reaction to it at all. You just move on to the next girl, and think nothing more. There is not point in allowing it to affect you too much. If it is wasting your time too much, you move on to a better venue. Do I really care what others in the Thermae think if I get a rejection. No way.
I remember the Thermae of 25 years ago. It was humming at 2 am when other places had closed. Girls used to reject plenty of guys. I think the point being made by Wh-man, while not done in the most diplomatic way, is actually worth considering. It was framed (incorrectly, in my opinion) as an issue of pride, and being laughed at, or something to that effect. But the way I understood it, the argument was something like this: why go to Thermae when you might be better suited to other places? If you have a higher likelihood of success at, say Climaxx, why do you insist on butting your head against the wall in Thermae? If that's the point, I can get on board with that discussion (though I think it's impossible to have any kind of fact-based discussion about this, it would all be conjecture). So Wh-man, where do you recommend a farang monger go for a better experience than Thermae? I think I know the answer, but perhaps you have something new to add to the reams of descriptions in this thread.
But that question was muddied by the framing of this in terms of pride and being laughed at. If the question is why do you go to Thermae when people are laughing at you (because you are being rejected), my reaction is, "yeah, so? ". Strangers laughing at me? Puh-leaze. Uncle V's digression into Japanese samurai philosophy, while entertaining, was understood completely incorrectly (he was not bragging or claiming any kind of bravado, as I understood it). He was simply rebutting the claim that Japanese men only care about face-saving (clearly an incorrect over-simplification). Ultimately for me, though, it does not matter what philosophy any other monger has: it's not about the other men in the joint, it's about the women.
So, the two questions need an answer:
1. Why do you go to Thermae when Asian men are laughing at you?
2. Why do you go to Thermae when you could find greater success elsewhere?
The answer to both these questions is actually quite simple: because it feels good. People enjoy going to Thermae because they get something out of it. I don't find it particularly constructive to rip them down for doing so. I find the discussion around Thermae actually very interesting. For years it had died away, and now it seems to be reviving itself, and as far as I can tell, that's a good thing for me. It gives me another venue to find pretty girls who will do the nasty with me. If some odd Japanese dude is laughing his head off at me, good. I'm glad I gave him amusement on my way to tongue-fucking a pretty young lady.
So from my humble vantage point, I request more discussion of Thermae (and any other venues that are grooving right now). Entertain me, inform me, and perhaps inadvertently, give an Asian dude a hernia from all that laughing.

If it is busy there will be no seats. Along the outside there are booths. In the middle there are many seats along the inside and outside of a partician like bar, and at the back, there are some tables and chairs. This place however, is not the place to sit for hours and drink. You go in, have a couple of beers, choose your lady, and out.
Being Chinese is no problem too.

The bar at Thermae is designed for socializing: no matter where you sit, its almost impossible to avoid eye or elbow contact with someone else sitting at the bar.

If the right punter and offer came around, it would be a done deal but a scam its not. Is there a sign at Nana and Soi Cowboy that says every girl working there is avalable for full service?
