Guadalajara

Will be passing by Guadalajara and Monterrey in the spring for non-mongering purposes. But of course once my duties are finished, I'll be on the hunt. So I just want to know:

1. Where are the higher end places with the better looking women in Guadalajara? I don't do street, low end, or medium end. Only the best looking broads I'm after. I might only have a day or two so I'd like to go in with some info to where they're at. What brothel (or brothels) is it? Also prices?

2. In some Latin American countries, higher end places have beauty queens from Colombia, Brazil, DR, etc. Are there such places in Guadalajara? If some Colombian beauty queens can be had in my trip, yay.

I speak perfect Spanish so that's no problem. Also I am reading on agencies but. I like seeing the girl in person first. If I am going to spend higher end money, I want to see the girl (or girls). So no agencies.

Well the court has ruled that Uber is allowed to operate at all airports in Mexico. Now a few days after this some other agency said that they cannot. The governor of Jalisco said that he isn't going against the court order and is allowing Uber to operate in both airports (GDL, PV) and has spoken to the Guardia Nacional that they will not restrict or harass Uber drivers when picking up airport passengers. So hopefully you no longer have to walk to the gas station to get a ride. I also hope this brings this issue to an end at least in GDL but we shall see.

Hopefully someone that makes a visit in the near future can give us a boots on the ground update.

Maybe this also proves to those that think the Cartels are the ones that make up Federal laws isn't the case at all and the Cartels don't run the airports.

What? Don't the cartels control most everything in MEX whether directly or indirectly?

Now if you want to look into other areas that they have moved into more you can look up different areas online, for example they recently killed a lime farmer because the Cartel was trying to control that market and they have been trying to control the fisherman in Ensenada. The control of airport taxis has never been mentioned and the way the airport taxis operate in Mexico has been done for many years and as the other poster pointed out the airport is Federal land which is why the law was interpreted that Uber couldn't operate. So it's just a law that the government needs to update since Uber is a new business and not something that they had not anticipated when the law was originally written. Same as many laws in the US when something new develops and they have to adapt new laws.

Great news on the Uber situation. Just a warning to anyone planning to head there soon, they are expanding the highway between Guadalajara and the airport, so it takes over an hour to get to the city from the airport now. Gridlock traffic for miles.

Compared to the other taxi companies I've got the impression that Uber drivers have more freedom to do what they want.

One thing that was brought up on my last visit is the Uber driver asking me about the driverless companies that have began to operate in the US. So they are concerned about that model being used in Mexico.

The algorithm has to assume that any car can and will do anything at any time and that the traffic rules have no direct bearing on the probabilities.

I was reading on a Guadalajara subreddit that this one guy had issues getting any Uber to pick him up at the arrivals terminal when he tried on November 17th. That's a very new report, but I'm hoping it's just anecdotal and it still isn't a hassle getting a ride. Anyone been there recently to confirm? I'll be in GDL early December so I'll scope it out and report back, but also curious if anyone on ISG has used it lately.

You are correct that you have to walk to Pemex to get picked up by Uber. Please be advised that the police are sometimes there to ticket (Uber drivers. The Uber driver may ask you before he / she arrives if there are cops there. If there are, he / she will ask you to meet elsewhere.

I have also taken taxis from GDL to my hotel. I think I've posted before that you don't have to worry about getting scammed or overcharged. You pay in advance at the taxi counter. Then proceed to stand in line. Get in your prepaid taxi and you're good. Cost is about 450 pesos for GDL to Colonia America.
