I will say that one of the benefits to Colombia is that pussy is so cheap that if anyone in Colombia got out of hand that I would blow her off. OK, so the information below continually states a March 19 - May 30 period of time. My permit expires (90-day) on June 5. I would assume I am given the same one-month grace period (July 4). Interest to know if anyone else can comment or has more clear information.

Rules.

·The days between March 19,2020 and May 30,2020 will NOT count towards the number of days that you are allowed in Colombia under your current permit.

· This means that if your permit was set to expire between March 19,2020 and May 30,2020, you still have time left to be in Colombia AFTER May 30,2020.

· Additionally, if you have not been able to register your visa and request your cedula, the Colombian government will forgive any penalties and fees they would normally assess.

· Keep in mind that current May 30,2020 may be extended further if current crisis continues.

10. If your permit (I. E. Tourists permits) expired / will expire during quarantine you will automatically receive an extension of 1 additional month counting from the day that the Sanitary Emergency that is current set to expire on May 30,2020. (Decreto 491 Marzo 28 de 2020). Keep in mind that you will need to use this extra month to 1. Leave the country 2. Apply for a visa or 3. Request a tourist permit extension.

11. It is currently unclear how the government will treat foreigners who applied for and received extensions on their initial 90 day permits AFTER March 19,2020 (when General Safe Harbor starts; see point #5 above) but before the system stopped working a week or two ago. We expect that there foreigners will be able to add I. The # of days they received in their second 90 day extension + ii. The # of days between the day your second 90 day extension starts and May 30,2020. Note that we have yet to confirm this analysis officially but a general review of the current regulations strongly imply this as of today.

12. If you 1. Have a Visitors visa; 2. Are physically in Colombia; and 3. Your visa will expire before May 30,2020 the current rules only allow you to apply for another Visitors visa before May 30,2020. Remember that you will still have 30 days after May 30,2020 to either a. Leave the country or be. Apply for a visa (we cannot currently confirm whether you can apply for Migrant or Resident visas AFTER May 30,2020 and not just Visitor visas).
