I think the first time I heard the word spoken, it was by a high school friend of mine, who was just back from Vietnam. He used it in story about some of his Saigon Brothel R&R nights. Later the word was immortalized thanks to Kubrick's 1987 masterpiece, "Full Metal Jacket" by the character Animal Mother. I think it has original French derivation which explains why US soldiers picked up on it and used it in Vietnam. There was a whole lotta shaggin' going on in Saigon in those days. It is still a good term to use. Very descriptive.

Poontang, or just "poon" for short has been around for quite awhile and probably has its roots in African American slang, which means it is probably really old. I heard the term in banter way back in the early 70's. Ted Nugent had a minor hit with a song called "Wang Bang Sweet Poontang" back in 1977. Well, it was a hit with stoner types.

The word is likely French Creole in origin, from New Orleans or Southern Louisiana. It appears to be a mutation of the French word "putain", meaning prostitute. However, African Americans have a special talent for mispronouncing simple English words (example: ask is often pronounced "axe". Buick is referred to as "Beaurick" so you can imagine what can happen to the more subtle pronunciation of French words.

Spasso is like Brix or Zita Bar in that the girls dress to impress and charge accordingly. Service is pot luck. Very rarely GFE and usually a few hours of fun at best. Tried Mixx but could not go the asking prices. Just cannot figure why would we pay that much for a few hours. I tried Bangkok Beats and Climax. Both very mixed with girl quality and most around the 6 mark. Some stunners but they were after the younger good looking guys. Sadly I am middle aged although have looked after myself so I tried but they were not interested.

I did try one of the Lord establishments. Now the girls there were amazing. I decided on a model and booked a double session which cost as much as the girls asked in Mixx. I can say that the time spent was totally GFE with a stunning woman. Body and face to die for. The wash up in the bath beforehand was awesome and the sex was fantastic. Multiple positions and the girl was right into pleasing me.

So if I was to try high end stuff again I would not waste time with the high prices at Spaaso or Mixx. I would go back to any of the Lord establishments and spend time there. Yes there is no chance of a morning shot but most of the girls tend to sleep in late and leave once the wake anyway. Better to go to Lord first and then hunt a the clubs later. Pressure is off to find a date for the night and you can enjoy the hunt more!

Had a quick trip to BKK and decided to pop into Soi Cowbay. Been many years since I was last there. Looked the same but seemed to be a lot more girls in and out of the clubs. Decided to pop into a few to test out each places action. Cowboy 2 was fun as were a few of the others. Crazy horse was wild but I found it to be a little less friendly than Cowboy 2. For some reason I felt the girls at Cowboy 2 were more playful and less business like. The routine in Crazy Horse is worth a few hours spend though. Lots of naked girls and a show or two upstairs. Well worth a visit.

That said there were lots of very attractive girls and some that seemed to prefer the company of the Koreans and other Asian clients. Interesting that very few of the Asians spoke English or Thai so I was watching the negotiations on price as they used their iPhones to show the girls what they would pay.

I spent some time chatting and drinking with a few of the girls in Cowbay 2 but did not take out as I just finished a long session at a soapy and did not want to go again. Had plans to hit a few night clubs as well so did not have want a tag alone. Definitely would look to take out of Cowboy 2 when I am next in town and have more time.

I also spent a little time in Nana Plaza in Rainbow but found it to be not to my liking. So I popped into a few of the bars downstairs. Some good lookers but a lot of older and average looking ones as well. Each to their own I suppose. Did see a few younger ones that could be worth a chat next time. In all Nana was very busy but I did. It have enough time to check out the scene.

BKK offers a lot to the monger and I will visit again very soon. Take out from Cowboy 2 is a must as is a few hours spent with the girls in Crazy Horse.

I indeed doubt it can be Creole French. "Putain" is indeed french for prostitute, but in common usage one says "pute" rather than "putain".

I have never visited. The closest I cam was picking up a Lord's girl at Climax one night. She was very nice looking but only so so in bed. Cost me 4 K till 11 AM the next day if I remember correctly.

Long Beach and Copa Cabana were favourites of mine in the past. I have preferred Amsterdam more recently.

I normally just do daytime P4 P venues in Bangkok, soapies or massage. But since the GF was out of town I decided to take advantage of that and go to Soi Cowboy.

In short, nothing has really changed. Maybe there are more coyote dancers. And in short, the place is just not that great. Too small and very few do-able women. And the price is way too high for someone who is an expat and has seen it / done it before. So won't be back for awhile (6 months or so). I think I much rather go to Climax / levels and look for freelancers the next time I go out at night.

Sat: I don't go to Crazy house anymore. The ill-mannered wait staff was the last straw for me. Just don't like their service, how the bar staff shove the drinks menu in my face, as though I just wondered in and was considering not buying a drink, take forever to bring change. Anyway, started with Bacarra at 8:30 PM. It really amazes me how both this place and their Pattaya branch is packed as early as 8 PM. Not even sure when they open but it sure fills quickly (almost all customers are Japanese / Korean). What is also interesting to me is 4 years of going to Bacarra at Soi cowboy and still haven't barfined any girl. To many patrons is a turn off for me, but I also just don't like the girls. Too small and too young looking. Nothing really sexy, but I'm weird in that I like the early 30's MILFs. Decided to swing by Crazy Horse, the only place I really do Barfine from. Was a bit tired so just scouted the talented, lots of more sexier women compared to Bacarra. Not as doll / plastic / skinny / petite looking as Bacarra. So I moved onto Lighthouse. Didn't like it, it was 60% coyotes and the non-coyotes were really bellow average. I feel like this should be mentioned, they had a (nearly) obese woman dancing on stage. I mean, wtf. Is talent that bad or is this just common mis-management? So realizing that I wasn't going to find anything I liked on Soi Cow boy, I just left and went to Honeybee massage. Good session with Mint, she does a really good job teasing.

Sun: Got to Bacarra earlier this time, at 8 PM. Much easier to find a seat and it's about 8:30 that most of the girls are ready so probably the best time to come. More comfortable and most choices. Lots of girls to easily buy a lady drink for. I didn't see much that I liked, as again, 4 years of going there, they just are not my type. Moved onto Shark after 15 minutes, my pet favorite go go. Saw a girl (No. 89) that was designed to my specifications. Mid thirties and nice body, thick enough to be athletic with a really nice rack (very natural looking, very large nipples). Stop letting it work and they'll stop bothering you. And even better, enough become wise to their manipulations, they'll stop having unattractive and annoying bar maids follow mongers in.

The best and only thing to do is to not let it work. That's foremost, just never cave in. Second, tell them this soon ASAP. That is the polite way. The longer you stay with them, the more loss of face could occur. Also, don't make *any* eye contact with them as you walk in. That should help give them the idea that they are not wanted. It's the same tactic people use to avoid touts. The second you make eye contact is the second they will swarm in. It's like how a shark smells blood in the water.

Mind you, I didn't say it originated from contemporary French. I contend the term is actually quite old and precedes the modern world. The only native French speakers of North America are the French Canadians (who also inhabit New England) and the Cajuns of Louisiana. Both speak an old version of French, so whatever slang is common usage in Europe doesn't fly on this side of the Atlantic.

Hi Gents, I was in Bangkok 6 weeks ago and had a blast. Coming back in another 6 weeks. Company has me booked into the Conrad Hilton. I noticed they have a restaurant and bar "Club 87 plus". I've scanned the reports but haven't found any meaningful info. Does anyone know if this club is fertile hunting grounds. I did see one item on the net that suggested it was "Spasso-like" Any help or insights would be appreciated.

All the bars have a lot of fatties who like working a few hours a night and making the same as a real job. FL is the only way to go now.

FYI, the Conrad is girl guest friendly. But I always book the room for 2. Hope you got some HHonors status? The Executive floor is excellent.

If you bring a guest back late at night, sometimes the security suits ask for her ID, but I always tell it is not needed as she is with me.

Club 87 signage is still there, but it wasn't open when I was there earlier in the year. In the past, when it was open you could find a small group of WG's making sales pitches? But IMO, I found them to be a little old, a little chubby, and over priced. Never pulled the trigger, and left for my usual Sukhumvit Nana hunting grounds.

I walked out of CH last month and didn't get my change back. Not worth my time to wait. CH is a write off for me. Too much BS and rudeness by wait staff and the girls aren't even hot there.
