But I have to talk for all the regular people with no Spanish, not to much knowledge of every culture, average look and play and just a nice attitude.

That means the big majority of us.

Guadalajara is harder. You are right, girls are gorgeous, but they are very familiar with gringos, they won't be impressed with a foreigner at all. Actually they kind of avoid them, they can be just educated but don't let you get in their circle very easy, you have to have good money. They know very well the difference between a DollarStore gringo and a potential sugar daddy.

So normal girls can be very full of BS and hard work with out success for the majority.

Pros are not that easier either, many are used to make easier their money thanks to the stupidity of us, I will say something painful but real, girls in Guadalajara prefer Latinos because since the 1800's the city always had gringos around and they know Mexicans are way better lovers and more romantic, besides a lot of assholes acting like "kings" screwed out our reputation. So now is not that easy to get a good regular fuck with out fighting first this stereotype that we made through many generations..

I would say far away from USA the better the luck for regular foreigners with gorgeous girls in general.

Parque periodista is on calle 54 (Caracas) on I think el palo. It is very easy to find. Just ask a cop!

There is no SW action there at all. It is more of a meeting place for young people punk rockers skate punks etc. There is one bar in the center or left of center that plays excellent alternative music. The dj/bartender has long hair and a very quiet demeanor. He knows more about american music than I do. Beers go for 2k.

Last saturday I avoided another police raid on degreiff right by bar el farol. An army truck came and stopped right in front of everybody and the police assumed a road block position. I gracefully walked away like nothing was happening.

That citizen watch group "espacio publico" has something to do with it IMHO.

It was obvious this trip that some people want things to change. Will they succeed? I don't know.

Be careful picking up SW's and being in those "favorite" areas of yours. I really have no idea what *exactly is going on but the heat is on in some respects. It is however still Colombia.

Airport.

I arrived 3 and 1/2 hours early and by the time I was done checking in/security I had 20 minutes to relax. I didn't have any food or drink.

The Medellin airport is the all time worst travel experience IMHO.

I lost my cool when I had to go through a second metal detector right after I just went through one. The gringo was unleashed.

Next time I'm wearing a bathrobe.

Try to eat before you go to the airport.

There is some pretty cool music in colombia. I brought back around 30/40 cds. You should take the covers off them and put them in a porta discos (cd holder) so customs wont say anything.

The quality is pretty decent.

I have been to many cities in both Mexico and Colombia. The average Colombian is by far better looking than the average Mexican. You obviously will find fuglies everywhere but in some places you will just find more of them. Bogota actually has many hot girls because girls from all over the country go there for school or work. I didn't really do the massage scene (except one strip club where they were hot) so maybe that is bad there but the non pros in the nightlife scene are really hot. Zona rosa and some of the other spots.
