Stayed at the Victory hotel last night and checked out the attached sauna. The experience was kind of average as far as sex goes. After the Sauna experience in Dong Guan, this was a far distant second. The total damage for the Thai massage was 568 RMB. The drinks are expensive.
A beer cost 30 rmb.

This is standard procedure in any hotel, guests must be registered. I don't know what are are worried about. Nothing wrong with a Chinese girl staying in a hotel, even in her own town. There is no law agains having sex with Chinese girls - -assuming you do.....
I still think there is a law on the books whereby you are not allowed to share a room with a Chinese girl unless you are married. Many years ago, I would have to present my marriage license when checking in with my wife. In recent years, they have become very lax in enforcing this. Nearly every hotel in China is now girl friendly. That said, I still normally do not register the girls (even freebies) I am checking in with and am usually able to get 2 keys without it. Why would you want to document that you are breaking the law if you don't have to? Some hotels do have "Visitor Registration" after certain hours in the evening. This is more for your protection than anything else and applies to WGs.
I was only being sarcastic with my reply to Jobim since it was obvious from his post that he had done absolutely no research on the board.

Sorry I have to disagree. Hotel security might be knocking on your door. This is true if it is late, the girl is not registered or they suspect she is a working girl. Most 5 star hotels will not let illegal active like prostitution but in general lower end hotels don't care as much. There has been mentioned of RAIDS going on in hotels. One famous RAID was in Dongguan where a Hong Kong political was busted. I think he sat in jail for 6 months.
Next, as OAH mentioned, they might say you have to be married to be in the same room.
With the Olympics coming soon, I see hotels enforcing these rules although more in the North like Beijing and Shanghai.

And a small foster beer costs rmb 50, not rmb 30 in tang. But who goes for beer there. If you want to pickup a high class brazil or russian pussy for under 100 usd, why to care for 30 or 50 rmb. And yes I have been staying in a hotel many times which costs very low but is very clean & safe.
