My T-mobile data plan did not work
I think Gogo and Enternational used the data plan as offered by T-mobile now. My f. G phone did not work. I could see the bars (but no local carrier's name. Like claro or orange) but that is all, I never could connect. I took my phone to a Claro place the day after and they fiddled with it (including manually looking for the carrier) but came up with nothing. In the end, I bought a separated sim card with a data plan from claro for 600 pesos+100 pesos for the chip. 1 GB of data which I had no use for (validity one month for my week long trip). It was such a waste of time.
Once back in the US, I called T-mobile but other than telling me that my "roaming" has to be on, I did not hear anything specific that would allow me to understand why the phone / data plan of tmobile did not pan out for me.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Brother Showdown, if you have not seen this sermon by Cuba Dave on "Big Papi" vs. "Pocket Change", please stop whatever you are doing and do so NOW! He his specifically talking about guys meeting chicks in Sosua (I know you met your chica online), but the same principles apply. There is nothing he is saying here that does not touch on your current situation:
Cuba Dave: "I get hundreds of emails from guys asking that same question, and it usually starts out with: "Dave, my girl's different."
