Pattaya Reports

I would like to get out of Pattaya for Songkran, but I suspect that everywhere in Thailand will be jammed with regugees from Bangkok.

So, where to go?

This time of the year living here the past few have been great nice and quiet the way things should be celebrated. If one is to partake as I had for a number of years while my son was growing up like most things you prepare yourself basically with swim gear. All out I was never one to do the paste stuff but expect it guilty I loved the freezing cold because it was hard work and HOT, I took him and his friends around in the back of the truck giant bucket every chance we had I brought blocks of Ice being so hot I actually welcomed it.

Talking about Pee, years ago I went out to WS, it was the 20th, told the drunk guy don't lie about going to work he still dunk me later and came back you can guess what he got. Personally, even at my age have no problems with it in a few years I'll be getting gear up to take my granddaughter.

Bars and networking. Why would another punter want to find her? Another punter does not even know how she looks. Thousands of chicks in Pattaya. Surely each punter can find one to fit his own style without chasing after a chick simply because another guy said he liked a particular chick.

There is still a problem with Bolt taxis in Pattaya. Either the number of taxis has been drastically reduced, or there are too many customers.

To get a Bolt into Pattaya from Jomtien is a struggle.

Left hand side of the triangle bar coming from bukhao. Lots of milfs and gilfs with high mileage LOL. Everything on offer for 700 baht but not my piece of cake. So, where to go?[/QUOTE]Leave Thailand! My first few years I always went to Phnom Penh cause I hadn't discovered Jakarta yet. After I discovered Jakarta a 2 week visit during Songkran was the obvious choice.

If you don't want to leave Thailand, head to Bangkok cause their Songkran is only 3 days. I've seen wanna be's carry around super soakers on Pattaya baht buses 2 weeks after Songkran!

I don't mind having "water" thrown on me. I always use the gogo girl I'm with as a shield. Petite skinny ones are so ineffective! Are we sure it's only water in those super soakers?

Kite festival is on the beach road causing traffic nightmares. Folks from Bangkok and elsewhere make it here on weekends which is making it worse.

There is some running race tomorrow at the beach.

Saw four baht buses of Chinese on Soi 6 browsing.

Four wheelers need to be banned on Soi 6 to prevent accidents and constant bottlenecks.

[/QUOTE]An interesting factoid about Songkran is that airfares out of BKK to Phnom & CGK always go up a day or 2 before Songkran begins and BKK hotel rates go down over the length of the holiday. This is a sure sign that a lot of people do not want to be in LOS over this holiday if they can help it. Personally, I have left BKK for a Phnom Penh side trip many times on account of Songkran. I have also scheduled my Asian trips to begin after Songkran, so I don't have to bother with it at all. But a couple of times I stayed in BKK just to see what goes on. I stayed at the BKK Weston and Grande Centrepoint T21 for bargain basement rates and I managed to stay dry too, LOL, because both the Weston and the Grande Centrepoint T21 (especially the T21) are kind of connected to Cowboy via the MRT station underpass walkway.

But I saw a lot of drenched people on Sukhumvit even though I think there is a lot more water craziness away from the farang zone and in local Thai neighborhoods. Some Thai's really get into the holiday spirit. My Mini used to send me pics of herself in a taxi surrounded by water revelers as she was attempting to come see me. I suppose the celebration is fun if you are young and have the right attitude AND you are drinking plenty of beer.

I'm curious what the average ST rate is currently off of ThaiFriendly. When I was in Pattaya last summer I'the say the average was around 1,200 to 1,300 baht.

Curious if rates have gone up.

I will tell you this and then leave it up to you if you want to RTFF. Jakarta has some great, world class bordellos. Classic is not one of them. Jakarta also has some lively FL pick up bars which I enjoy. But the key attraction that Jakarta has going for itself are the girls. IMHO they are prettier than Filipinas and can be very naughty GFE. Their bodies are more curvy than Thai girls and on average they (Indos) are better in bed. So, up to you if you want to find out more.
