[/QUOTE]It's not hard to get laid on Tinder in Bangkok, though inefficient. It involves time investment and uncertainty which make the PFP venues a much better deal, unless you actually enjoy the process.

Post a good pic of yourself, it matters (plenty of advice online on that). Thais on Tinder have plenty of choice, and can get picky. An fairly average looking girl showed me her list, 100+ matches on there. You do have to be patient, cast your net wide and have something going for you (if not money to hookers, then being attractive or a potential relationship to regular girls). A fair number of girls there do one-night-stands, even if they say otherwise on their profile.

Must be easier with Filipinas, since all that most of them require is a white face, and there are far fewer white guys available in PI.

Spent close to 2 days in BKK.

Landed at 2 AM Sunday morning after a long flight. Visa took about 2 hours.

The suggestions are obvious enough:

1. You are obviously budget conscious so you need to avoid expensive places like Cowboy 2, Rio, etc. , the later being one of the "Arab's" bars to be avoided.

2. Its good that you seem relaxed and prepared to make a few errors or mistakes.

3. You got pulled into a place by a girl 4/10. This was just the first indicator that you are not in control, and the girls are controlling you. So the big tip for next time is that you must be in charge and make rational decisions.

4. Consider a girl's looks for a significant time before choosing. Forget the outfit. In fact I go to nudie bars a lot and choose girls where I can see the figure. Billboard (in Nana) is not a Nudie bar but is a bar where you can see girls with really good bodies. In cowboy try Suzie Wong and Doll House.

5. Why not apply for VISA in your home country to avoid wasting time at the airport. You are short of time, so use it well.

6. 3 pm may be too early for Annies to have any reasonable girl, given the best girl may already be busy. I don't say "never again", just because I picked the wrong girl. I accept my mistake. However there are lots of "never again" guys on the forum. If I consistently don't pick any girl from a place, or the pressure is too high, then I may not bother going for a look any more. That is my simple approach. "none were hot". So why not just leave and look somewhere else? That is what I do. We Chat or Tinder addresses which aim? Cheapest? Or is it that the girls might be part time hookers or amateurs, or?

Also there has been a huge change in nightlife for Thais. Far fewer out drinking and partying these days. Many areas that were booming a few years ago are almost dead. The only places that seem to be doing ok are the night markets like the Rachada Train Market. Probably due to the fact that drinks are cheap there.

Maybe I didn't have the patience with Tinder, giving up on it after three days of zero usable response. Strange to consider patience was lacking since I thought Tinder was supposed to be a more quick booty-call type of social contact app. lol. Oh well.

New wave formerly on Soi 7 has reopened on Soi7/1 where Bangkok Beat was located. Not as authentic as the old shop but 5 new pool tables and potentially a competitor for Oscars or Gullivers for FL'S although not as upmarket as the former and a lot smaller than the latter. Incidentally Susie the manageress usually well informed mentioned that the beer garden on 7 is due to close in a couple of weeks.

In my past couple of trips to LOS. I have stuck to Soi Cowboy and PSE oilies. This time I wanted to try something different. Especially after I didn't like the lineup at Billboard & Twisters at NEP. Inside there were fewer customers than pool tables. All customers were playing pool or drinking alone. Didn't see any FLs or females that were not wait staff, so did not recognize any relationship to the clientele or business model of the former Bangkok Beat. Will see what develops, but didn't see anything on first impression to tout from a mongering point of view. In fact, it looked like the tamest establishment on the Little Soi of Sin.
