I have been told that girls stay overnight for an average of 1. 000 baht, so having 2 girls a day would mean either a permanent threesome or an extra session in the afternoon and I don't think I would ever reach that score.

As I told, I would enjoy some rest too, some lazy time in walks, laying on beach or riding a boat to coral island. Or is it a 24hr pussy-focused set like gambling is in Vegas?

Now, I would enjoy a comfortable accomodation, but I don't need no luxury. I would enjoy some fine food and drinks, but I don't mean pushing it at top.

Thai Learner, with all respect, 100$ a day sounds a bit high-roller to me, even considering that still, my budget is actually too tight.

I will think about it and see if I can come up with something.

I certainly don't live like a high roller on that budget, but I don't want to spend the money to go all the way to Thailand and not enjoy myself.

My recommendation is that you push your trip back to the summer, if possible, its low season in Thailand and thus flights are cheaper, also its cheapest to fly on Wednesdays. I just did a quick search and found a ticket on Egypt Air through Cairo for 806USD, as oppossed to the 1, 300USD you mentioned on Thai Air in January. Given your budget constraints I really feel that you might enjoy yourself more if you were able to move your trip back and buy the ticket now. That would give you an extra 500USD to spend during your trip.

IMHO. You don't want to come to Thailand and not be able to enjoy your time there and if you come with only a 40, 000THB budget for 3 weeks, I think you will quickly find yourself bored, because you can't afford to do anything but walk around and sit in your hotel room. If you take 1 girl a night LT at 1000THB each for 3 weeks, that's over half your traveling budget right there, and you still haven't paid for the hotel room. So if you pay 500THB for a really small room, with no aircon or TV, you've spent another 10, 000THB, and now you have only 10, 000THB for everything else, including food.

There are other things to do in Pattaya besides shopping for pussy, the Thai's are putting a real effort into making Pattaya a travel destinantion for all types of tourists, not just us. With that said, all that stuff costs money too. Trips to the little islands, are realtively cheap, but on a really tight budget like yours could represent a substantial cost. For example I once took a ferry with a girl over to a small island, it was 100THB each, each way. The 100THB for the taxi's around on the island, add in food and drinks for the day, and it was 1, 000THB, reasonable to me, but if my budget was 40, 000THB I doubt that I could have worked it in.

Egyptair had a promo recently for only 420 euros from Athens round trip.
You had a connection at Cairo of about seven hrs both ways though.

Qatar and Emirates were asking about 620.

Thai was 650 if you purchase the "charter" ticket through travel agencies.

I choose Thai for their non stop service. All the above from Athens.

Check for best fares.

Charter ticket means that you have to book your hotel together.
Travel agencies seem to overcome this problem with Thai international.

Most of the places I stay would be charging me money for smoking in a non-smoking room. Be sure to get the fee from her before you boot her out.

Blu-express.com, nothing to complain about.

And, any decent travel website should get you fares in the €600 rage, for almost any time of the year.

I've spent four nights in Pattaya so far and here what I've got: nothing stellar, still having a good time.

I choose to stay in the same resort as in Aug. that is Chopraya on Tepprasit Rd. Compared to "downtown", it takes two minutes more to get there but has a very nice pool and garden, walk straight to the room, has wi-fi, A/C, and is quiet, costs only B. 650, or 4,200 if staying 1 wk.

BTW I rent a scooter, and if anybody has a comment on the wisdom of that, like it happened some years ago here, please save yourself the effort and spare your advice for someone that cares about.

I try to engage girls without going to bars (that bores me to death), but that only partially works. Anyway, after three trips I have developed a better sense of what to expect and from who.

For example, I go to Lucifer on Friday, and there is a really good R&B band playing. I've found that is not always immediate to tell the pro or semi-pro in there. Many girls apparently come to just have fun, have no problem in paying their own drinks, and possibly look for someone younger than me. I play the cool and stay on the safe side. Two chicks come and the one with a large rack, not very young, a 7 or less, wants to dance with me, I was in the mood also, I pay her one drink, all good so far and she is very enticing, then she wants more drinks (140 b), little detail she was a bit drunk already, I give her a chance to chill a moment and talk, she doesn't want to, her loss and I walk away.

Similar situation in the place with the hanging vintage car, sure some random woman will smile or take your hand, but they are not attractive, speak no english and one wonders WTF they are doing in there. Again, in most cases the lookers do not appear interested, but if they do, they are quickly taken.

Speaking of which, this is one of the two constant truths I've found so far about Thai girls: (1) the really good looking ones are taken already, and (2) there is always (at least) one problem with them.

On the third day or so I go looking for my former girl Dak at the place where I understood she was living in August. I show a picture of her to some woman living in the same building, she makes a puzzled face but cannot help. I leave my number to in case she founds her, but have no hope. That is a bit of a loss as she was a good girl with a sense of the humor and I didn't get bored with her. Pics below, may be you have seen her ?

I meet for a beer with Mouse1, he's a cool bloke, but he's heading for Devils Den, that is above my budget so I have to pass.

The other friend I made is a Saudi, but he has his own quirks, just came here to study (on his laptop, no books ?), only carries a small backpack ??, drinks half a bottle of whiskey "to sleep" ??? That's all good with me but he likes LBs, so that pretty much closes the matter of hunting together.

At the end, so far in the positive I've only got some not very good looking girl from a Soi 8, that does everything without complaining for 500 b, and a new shortie, Tai, that has an Ok face, a bit chubby yet enjoyable body with C-size boobs, to stay LT for 1,000. She wanted me to do her friend yesterday, another sweet chubbie but I won't repeat, at least Tai is actually hotter in bed and have some english.

All the others, bar or beach road, were serial complainers and non-doers.

Final note about the type of Westerns you can meet here. I walk into a massage shop to ask for a take away. While I'm being told the prices, etc, this guy (nationality doesn't matter, but not mine ;) from the back interjects, "he talks shit". I go like "excuse me, can't you mind your business"? Few more exchanges follows, and I leave telling the ladies, to thank much old falang for the lost business.

Yeah short times are my style - two for 500 each, while you might keep one girl for 1,000 all night. Same budget, different style. I just like to get rid of the girl after sex, don't like them in my room.

$1,300 is probably a lot more realistic than $1,000.

It is amazing how quick a you can spend a budget I budget around £100 a day which is 5000bht (approx)

Accomodation for me is 550 bht
Food 500bht
Bar Fine 500bht
Girl LT 1000bht

This does not include drinks for you 60-150bht lady drinks 80-200bht plus may be tips .

You can also get a baht bus which drive around Pattaya with trips with in Pattaya itself 10 bht a trip , you can rent one as a private taxi for 100 bht .

Sometimes I spend more sometimes less.

I have seen idiots who have wasted money in just one bar and they have spent 30,000bht .

I would suggest you stay around soi lk

I also rent scooters so I feel I need to say something:

Make sure you are careful about where you rent these scooters from. Many shops can give you great deals (150/day for a Honda click Automatic for example) but BEWARE... that paper you sign when you rent the bike is NOT an insurance.
I really suggest all who rent scooters to pay insurance, in case something happens.
I rent my Bike for 350/day (yes, expensive) but it is inclusive of insurance.

And please invest 400 thb in a proper helmet... these worthless mushroom hats they give you are not protecting your scalp.
