Have swung by Walkabout a few times over the weekend, and was quite busy with lots of guys but very few pickings of gals.
A good little bar with a few nice gals is the Goden Vine. Street 108 near corner with Street 51 (next door to La Marmite restaurant). Have enjoyed a few good nights here with one particular favourite gal.

I've heard that there are massage places with happy endings near what Phnom. Basically I was told to go to any of the massage shops on the roundabout that encircles what Phnom.

Just popped down there on your recommendation. On corner of 240 and 55. 8 bucks for an hour massage and anything else is between you and the girl.
With no mention of money she gave me an awesome massage and a mind blowing hand relief. The things she was doing with her hands. Wow.
After she very nicely cleaned me up with some wet towels I gave her a 10 dollar tip.
I did over hear another massage that was already going when I got there. That guy sounded like he had a pretty good time. After the massage I heard him ask the girl for her number. Didn't hear if he got it.

Dropped into Cyrcee (Street 49, near Central Market) , a heap of gals in this place who will have their hands on your dick before your beer arrives and make it clear that their main game (single, two or three girls) is a short boom boom in a nearby hotel (just over the road). Heaps to choose from, so probably a gal for every taste. My choice started to look not so good in the cold hard light of the hotel room ($5. 00) , but had a load to let go so got on with the job.

I had a rather disappointing experience at one place only in my trip to Cambodia. Pontoon was very expensive. $3. 50 for a Corona beer and other beers not too far behind it. When we walked in there was a spot at the bar and we had a bit of a drink there before my girl wanted to go dance. I got tired of that pretty quickly. Two left feet etc. So we went over to some booths. RESERVED signs on them so couldn't stay. Then it was across to the other side of the room for another with no signs on it. Some staff guy walked up to me and said that he would let us sit there for a while but if customers came we would have to move. I was pretty annoyed because I had paid their prices for drinks and followed their rules. I asked him if I could tip him and make him go away. NO was the answer. Not 30 seconds later yet another staff girl comes up to tell us to move to another booth. Too much bullshit for my liking. I went to the bar and asked for the manager. All I got was attitude and raised voices so I reciprocated.
They deserve this shitty review which I will also be putting on other sites. You don't treat paying customers like that and you never speak to people in that way. Fuck you Pontoon!

So its your choice to go there or not and such booth to pay big bugs is normal. Also if you go o ther places like Sparks. Its about money. If you want cheap. Just go somewhere else.
And about the girl you get tired, not fault of Pontoon if you choose badly.
Sorry no offending, but don't blame a place for you to be too stinchy for that.

And they were sitting in a sofa right by the side of the dancing floor. Without this enlightenment I would look at them as "normal" girls. On the floor I recognized a pair of girls I had met just an hour ago in a different bar. Very very "normal" looking. One of them had been on the job for only a month and spoke no English. You don't get any more "normal" than that. The girl that I picked up at HOD was there to make extra cash after finishing her shift at Naga Casino at 2am. She was a "normal" girl but had p4p on her mind.
There's no chance of "regular" mongering in Pontoon or Heart.
When I asked the girls at Tokyo Lounge where they go to dance, they said Darling Darling. They completely rejected the idea of Pontoon.

The first massage I got was with Sookiya. It was a fairly good massage. She apparently had some training. But there was no happy ending, and because the massage was well done I didn't feel ripped off. Afterwards I decided I was partially to blame for not asking for it.
So I decided to take a different approach next time. I returned another day and tried a different girl named Nimol. She was a bad pick. Unlike the previous girl, she didn't seem to know what she was doing. The massage was sloppy and not very relaxing. I asked her for a HJ, and she acted like she was open to the idea, but wanted to know how much I'd pay. I told her if it was well done I would tip very well. That wasn't good enough for her and there was no happy ending. I guess she was fishing for an exact dollar amount.
She could have made up for it with a good massage, but she wasn't able to. She kept making very basic mistakes. She had me lie face down on top of a pile of towels instead of putting my face in the proper place on the table. I had to interrupt and show her how to use the table. In the middle of the massage she left the room 2 different times and left the door wide open. In short, she just didn't know what she was doing. Since this place is charging more than the competition you'd hope the experience would be higher quality.
So I guess this is a case of "your mileage may vary." I don't doubt that other guys have had success with this place. Could be that I had bad luck in my choice of girls. Or maybe I just need to handle negotiations differently.
Can anyone recommend particular ladies at this place or another massage parlor? Noobmonger, did you get the name of your girl?
How do you negotiate for extras at these places? Wait til the end of the massage and then spring the question? Ask up front? In other countries in SE Asia it's always been the lady who brings up the question first. They're pretty passive here.

A paying customer has every right to complain if he feels that he's been treated unfairly / rudely at Pontoon, even posting about it on a public forum is ok by me.
For what it's worth, I think Pontoon sucks donkeyballs (as does Heart of Darkness). It's an average club with expensive drink prices, crap dj's that play commercial dance shit for the masses.
I'd happily pay top $ for drinks in a good club that plays good music. Unfortunately there is no such thing in Phnom Penh.

I wish I'd asked her name though.
I went back two days later and was given a different girl. Massage was reasonable, but not as good as the first and the HR was good but no where near as good as the previous. Also she asked me if I wanted HR where as the first girl just did it, and when I tipped her she wanted a little more I slipped her an extra two bucks so I could leave without any hassle.
I guess it's the luck of the draw.
