It basically boils down to why one wants to be with a woman. Is it just sex or is it the companionship. In your case you enjoy her company as much as you enjoy the sex with her and in some other people's case all they want is the sexual release. And of course one pays for what one wants. You pay more to enjoy the time with her and someone else pays less at 141 for wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am.

To add to that, the fun of the "hunt" and the rest of the process I really enjoy as well, this you don't get from a 141 walk up WG.

I also agree there is nothing wrong with someone just wanting the sex alone. Each to his own.

However, I had a colleague from Europe who was like that, just wanted the sex and done. One night he picked up a WG, walked her back to his hotel only to realise neither of them had condoms. It was late so they had to walk about 20 minutes (there and back) to a 7/11 to get some stock. They had a great chat while they were doing this and the next morning he told me it was one of the best times he'd had in HK. I always wonder why there aren't more local girls working the Wan Chai expat bar scene. Apparently there are are local girls doing the 141 for around $1000 and probably for less at the OK clubs in Mongkok, so it doesn't seem like prices would be too low to attract them. Shockingly, few mainland girls also.

I did meet one HK girl that works the WC bars named Crystal. A little business-like but really huge nips which I dig.

And for those in Causeway Bay with some spare time in the afternoon, Phoenix apartments (easily found on 141) offers a wide selection. The Traveller was there recently and had a blast for 380 HK dollars. Too much choice and too little time! And it is unbeatable fun to be there and see local businessmen coming out carrying their files and on the phone complaining about taxi stuck in traffic or similar. Or the foreigners doing their best to look lost with that "I am not here for anything but finding my way out of here"-look on their face. Hilarious!

Perhaps in an ideal world, I would agree with this point of view. But if we consider that the "hunt" often does not lead to the bed, or that the girl at times wants to hang out and not have sex, or the mini relationship develops into something with escalating expectations, the value of P4P becomes clear.

Would you enjoy eating out even more if the restaurants required you to hang out for a while, chat, etc., and then they don't serve you in most cases? Or they do serve you, but next time, they welcome you back and hang out with you but don't serve you? I'm sure I would not prefer that.

By "hunt" I mean finding someone I like the look of, getting to know them a little, then if I am still interested agreeing to the $$$. Obviously using this system one doesn't miss out very often.

I enjoyed the posts regarding local girls which posted earlier. Just returned from a week in HK & Beijing. I've written before on having used AFF for meeting ladies when traveling and again worked well. I also p4p but that again is another animal. There are 2 AFF, one stands for "adult" other asia". Here's the simplest way to explain the appeal of Wanchai for me Hong Kong is a very Western city - like London-in-Asia - and it's incredibly easy to meet Asian women in Wanchai and end up having a partner for a few hours, a night, or a few days for a reasonable price when compared to anywhere in the West.

Sure, I'd like to see more local or Chinese girls in Wanchai but the TOTAL experience beats any AMP or spa or walkup or streetwalker in the West!

I will agree with your premise about Wanchai or Kowloon, to me it is the difference in finding someone I wish to spend time with and then making a financial transaction, rather than having to spend a lot of time and effort (and money) on a non-WG to accomplish the same thing.
My luck with Chinese ladies is zero save one great time in K Pressure with a gal from Shenzhen. I enjoy the Filipina gals a lot, even if they have to leave every two weeks, and even the occasional Viet lady.
To be honest whether someone feels it is like "hunting in a zoo" or not, doesn't really phase me, since I am not trying to impress anyone with my pickup skills.
